CONSISTE EN EL TRATAMIENTO CONTROLADO DE HEPARINA CON AGENTE QUIMICO, TAL COMO EL ACIDO NITROSO, CAPAZ DE DESPOLIMERIZAR O FRAGMENTAR LAS CADENAS HEPARINICAS, DE MODO QUE SE FORMA UNA MEZCLA CONSTITUIDA FUNDAMENTALMENTE POR PRODUCTOS QUE TIENE UNOS TITULOS YIN-WESLER Y USP EN RELACION SUPERIOR A 2 Y QUE CONTIENEN GRUPOS REDUCTORES TERMINALES DE ESTRUCTURA 2,5-ANIHIDRO-D-MANOSA.
