CONSISTE EN AÑADIR ACELERADORES A LAS SOLUCION DE TRATAMIENTO; LOS MAS APROPIADOS SON CLORATOS, QUE EN LA FOSFATACION DE HIERRO Y ACERO SE EMPLEAN PARA ELIMINAR LOS IONES FERROSO EN EXCESO POR OXIDACION. LAS CANTIDADES DE ACELERADOR DEPENDEN DEL CAUDAL Y NO ES NECESARIO DETERMINALOS EN FUNCION DE LA CANTIDAD DE IONES CINC Y ACIDO FOSFORICO. LA CANTIDAD MINIMA DE CLORATO DEBE SER 0,1 G./L. SE AÑADE TAMBIEN UN NITRITO Y DE 0,1 A 10 MG/L. DE VANADIO; OPCIONALMENTE SE AÑADE ASI MISMO IONES NIQUEL, MANGANESO O CALCIO, CUYAS CANTIDADES NO DEBEN SOBREPASAR 0,5 G/L. PARA FIJAR LA PROPORCION DE PO4 QUE SOBREPASA EL GRADO NECESARIO DE ACIDO LIBRE SE AÑADEN IONES DE METALES ALCALINOS (NA; NH4).
