Abstract
Procedimientos para la preparación de un catalizador que induce simultáneamente la oxidación de monóxido de carbono e hidrocarburos y la reducción de óxidos de nitrógeno en gases de escape de motores de combustión, caracterizado porque se impregna un material de soporte a base de A12O3 de las serie de transición, estabilizado en el retículo eventualmente con metal alcalinotérreo, con una solución acuosa de sal de cerio, zirconio e hierro, o se mezcla con los óxidos de éstos, luego se atempera durante 30-180 minutos en aire a 500 - 700ºC, después de ello se impregna el soporte con una solución acuosa de una sal de platino, rodio y eventualmente de uno o varios de los elementos aluminio, titanio, estaño, cromo manganeso, cobalto y níquel, se seca, y, a continuación, se trata a temperaturas de 250- 650ºC, preferentemente 450 - 550ºC, en una corriente de gas que contiene hidrógeno, siendo dimensionadas las sustancias de partida para una composición a base de a) 0,03 - 3% en peso de una fase activa que contiene platino, rodio y, eventualmente, de uno o varios de los elementos aluminio, titanio, estaño, cromo, manganeso, cobalto y níquel con una proporción en peso entre platino y rodio de 2: º- 20:1, y eventualmente una proporción en átomos entre los metales del grupo de platino y los metales no nobles de 1: 6- 2: 1, preferentemente 1: 4-1: 1; b) 5-15, preferentemente 10% en peso de una mezcla de Ce02 y Zr02, estando estos óxidos en proporciones en peso de 20-80 : 80 - 20; c) 1 -10 preferentemente 2- 6% en peso de Fe203, así como d) una cantidad restante de hasta 100% en peso de óxido de aluminio de la serie de transición.
