Abstract

Un procedimiento para apagar coque en seco que comprende enfriar el coque mediante el paso a su través de una mezcla de hidrocarburos y vapor de agua, con lo que se obtiene un gas que contiene hidrógeno y monóxido de carbono, caracterizado porque se precalienta primeramente el coque hasta una temperatura no inferior a 1.200ºC y luego se enfría inicialmente hasta una temperatura no inferior a 700ºC haciéndose fluir dicha mezcla a su través , efectuándose el subsiguiente enfriamiento del coque hasta una temperatura de 200ºC mediante el paso de un flujo de gas inerte a su través
