Abstract

Un método directo para la determinación de hierro en suero sanguíneo, que comprende: (a) hacer reaccionar el suero sanguíneo con ferrozina en presencia de un agente reductor para llevar el ión hierro a la forma divalente, tiosemicarbazida y ácido clorhídrico a un pH entre 1,7 y 2,1, sin adición de tampones ni agentes tensioactivos y (b) determinar colorimétricamente el contenido de hierro de la muestra por medio del complejo coloreado formado entre ión hierro y ferrocina frente a un reactivo en blanco.
