Abstract
Procedimiento para la fabricación de un silicato sintético de magnesio y de aluminio, consistente esencialmente, en peso, en un 47 - 57 % de SiO2, un 9 -11% de A12O3, un 3 - 5% de MgO, un 1 - 3% de CaO, y <5% de Na2O, calculados analíticamente, caracterizado porque se introduce, bajo agitación, en una solución acuosa conteniendo las cantidades correspondientes de sulfato de magnesio y de sulfato de aluminio, una segunda solución acuosa conteniendo silicato de sodio e hidróxido de sodio, se adiciona seguidamente una solución acuosa conteniendo una cantidad correspondiente de cloruro de calcio, se continúa la agitación, se recoge el precipitado por filtrado, se lava el precipitado y se seca a continuación el precipitado obtenido a una temperatura inferior a 100ºC, o bien se utiliza, en lugar de la introducción de la solución acuosa del cloruro de calcio, agua calcárea en el proceso de fabricación y para el lavado.
