Abstract

Procedimiento para la obtención de diciclopentilen [2,2''-bis (4-alquil-6-t-butilfenoles)]. Ya se conocen varios procedimientos para la fabricación de los mas diversos productos de reacción a partir del fenol o de fenoles sustituidos y diciclopentadieno. Se describe un procedimiento para la obtención de un dihidronorpoliciclopentadieniléter de fenol disustituido que consiste en la reacción de diciclopentadieno con fenol o un fenol sustituido a una temperatura comprendida entre 25 y 50ºC en presencia de un medio de condensación ácido, preferentemente complejo de trifluoruro de boro-dietiléter. Los éteres así obtenidos se emplean como insecticidas, disolventes, reblandecedores o productos intermedios. No son adecuados como antioxidantes debido a su falta de grupos hidroxilo fenólicos libres.
