Abstract

Procedimiento para la producción de ánodos de carbón calcinados, en especial para su utilización en la electrolisis en aluminio fundido, para lo cual el llamado ánodo verde, premoldeado y comprimido, se somete a un proceso de calcinación, caracterizado por el curso del proceso de calcinación en las fases siguientes: a) Fase primera = caldeo mediante calentamiento por resistencia eléctrica en un intervalo de gradientes de temperatura comprendido entre 2,5º C/minuto y 10ºC/minuto, con preferencia entre 3,5ºC/minuto y 8º C/minuto; b) Fase segunda = mantenimiento de la temperatura de calcinación durante un lapso de tiempo comprendido entre 30 minutos y 300 minutos, con preferencia entre 60 minutos y 120 minutos. c) Fase tercera = enfriamiento del ánodo terminado de calcinar.
