Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the heat efficiency and heat responce of a mold, to reduce the size of the mold, and to simplify the preparation thereof, by supporting an upper and a lower mold each having a heater to frames while keeping the thermal insulation between the mold and the frame, and electrofying the heaters thereby heating the upper and the lower molds.
CONSTITUTION: A metallic layer 18 having a thickness of 1W3 mm is deposited to the inner surface of the cavity 15 in a lower mold 12. A heater 19 of nichrome wire is embedded in the mold. The nichrome wire is electrified through lead wires 20, and the upper and lower molds are heated. The leak of electric current and heat from the molds to the supporting frames 16, 16' during the heating of the molds and the molding of resin, can be prevented by the electric-and heat-insulating material 17 inserted between the frames 16, 16' and the molds 11, 12.
