Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the mold without voids and cracks in the case the electric equipment and its parts are molded to form a unitary body by resin by employing a metal mold and a heating furnace, by providing heat sources at the lower part of the metal mold, and making the temperature of the lower part of the metal mold higher than the temperature in the furnace. CONSTITUTION:The metal mold having a resin injecting hole 11c is constituted by divided metal molds 11a and 11b. Heat source inserting holes 5a and 5b are provided in the lower part of said metal molds. The heat sources 6a and 6b comprising electric heaters are inserted in said holes 5a and 5b and connected to a power source 7 by connecting wires 7a and 7b. In this constitution, levels A-C are sequentially set from the bottom of the metal mold in the upward direction of the height. The temperatures of the levels are tA, tB, and tC, respectively. Then the relationship tA>tB>tC which is in the reverse order with respect to the normal order is obtained. The volume of the contraction of the resin 3 when the hardening of the resin begins from the bottom of the metal mold, is always supplied from the top. Therefore the voids and the cracks are not generated, and the molded product without defects in appearance and electric insulation can be obtained.
