Abstract
Procedimiento mejorado para preparar un electrodo que tiene una capa superficial continua de níquel de Raney en contacto eléctrico con un núcleo de metal conductor, caracterizado porque comprende: a) dotar el núcleo de una capa externa conteniendo níquel que tiene un espesor de por lo menos 100 micrones y que contiene por lo menos 15% en peso de níquel; b) efectuar una interdifusión de aluminio y por lo menos de una parte del níquel en la capa externa del núcleo a una temperatura de por lo menos 660ºC y c) extraer selectivamente, con una base acuosa, una cantidad suficiente de la capa de aleación interdifundida para obtener una capa de níquel de Raney con un espesor superior a 75 micrones y una porosidad de por lo menos 11%.
