Abstract
L'invention concerne une électrode améliorée pour l'utilisation comme cathode de dégagement d'hydrogène dans une cellule électrolytique, ladite électrode étant du type ayant une couche superficielle continue de nickel de Raney en contact électrique avec un noyau métallique conducteur, et son procédé de fabrication. L'électrode selon l'invention est caractérisée par une couche superficielle de nickel de Raney ayant une épaisseur de plus de 75 mu et une porosité moyenne d'au moins 11 %. Application comme cathode de dégagement d'hydrogène dans une cellule d'électrolyse de la saumure en chlore, hydrogène et soude caustique.
