Abstract

Un procedimiento para la conversión enzimática de una penicilina a un ácido 6-aminopenicilánico, caracterizado porque se pone en contacto una solución acuosa de dicha penicilina con un catalizador de acilasa de penicilina inmovilizado, en partículas, caracterizado porque dicha solución se hace recircular a través de un lecho que está constituido de dicho catalizador en partículas, a un régimen de flujo de cuando menos 0,4 del volumen de lecho por minuto, mientras se mantiene dicha solución a una temperatura de aproximadamente 15 a 45ºC y a un pH de aproximadamente 6,5 a 9,0, y dicha recirculación se continúa hasta que dicha penicilina está substancialmente convertida al ácido mencionado teniendo el citado lecho una profundidad de hasta aproximadamente 6 centímetros.
