Abstract

Interruptor térmico perfeccionado para su montaje en serie, caracterizado porque adaptado a un circuito eléctrico en respuesta a un aumento excesivo de la temperatura asociado al circuíto protegido por dicho interruptor, comprende el interruptor un cuerpo hueco hecho de material eléctricamente aislante que tiene una abertura que permite el acceso al interior del cuerpo, proyectándose un par de miembros de contacto al interior del cuerpo a través de dicha abertura y con sus extremos interiores dentro del cuerpo y retenidos en unión por un elemento hecho de un material tal que, a una temperatura predeterminada, se deforma o se aplasta, y permite que el contacto se abra, disponiendo de un tapón de material aislante dentro de la abertura del cuerpo entre dichos contactos, a fin de cerrar dicha abertura y poner en tensión los contactos al estado en el que se encuentran separados.
