Abstract
Método para proporcionar un elemento (1) de membrana a prueba de fugas para la separación selectiva o limpieza de gas del tipo en el que una lámina (3) de metal que tiene un grosor de menos de 10 micrómetros y que está recubierta sobre uno o ambos lados de la misma con otros materiales, también denominados capas (43, 44) de barrera y/o protectoras, y que es selectivamente permeable para gases específicos, se deposita sobre un sustrato (2, 20) de partida de soporte tubular que presenta un alto flujo de gas y que está hecho de metal, cerámica, polímero, o combinaciones de los mismos, y en el que están previstos medios (4, 21, 34) de conexión en los extremos del sustrato que permiten que el elemento de membrana se instale en una carcasa, caracterizado porque el método comprende: a) enrollar con uniones (8) solapantes bandas de la lámina (3) en el exterior de dicho sustrato (2, 20) tubular, b) luego sellar los extremos del sustrato ajustando medios (4, 21, 34) de conexión sobre el sustrato con la membrana, usando un material (7, 25) sellante entre el sustrato y los medios de conexión que no deja pasar gases no deseados, c) luego unir mediante unión por difusión las uniones (8) solapantes a una capa de membrana no porosa, continua, calentando el sustrato (2, 20) recubierto con la lámina (3) de metal mientras hay una sobrepresión nula o positiva sobre el lado de metal, d) en el que una o más capas de la lámina de metal se usan como material (6, 25) sellante entre el sustrato (2, 20) y los medios (4, 21, 34) de conexión.
