Abstract
Un dispositivo protésico que comprende: una malla tejida que incluye por lo menos dos hilos colocados en una dirección de tejido y que se entrelazan unos con otros para definir una pluralidad de nudos, incluyendo los por lo menos dos hilos un primer hilo y un segundo hilo que se extienden entre dos nudos, caracterizado por que una primera longitud del primer hilo se extiende entre los dos nudos y una segunda longitud del segundo hilo se extiende entre los dos nudos, siendo la primera longitud mayor que la segunda longitud, y formando el primer hilo un lazo intermedio entre los dos nudos y no formando el segundo hilo un correspondiente lazo intermedio entre los dos nudos, teniendo el segundo hilo una tensión mayor en los dos nudos que el primer hilo, e impidiendo sustancialmente el segundo hilo que el primer hilo se mueva en los dos nudos e impidiendo sustancialmente que la malla tejida se desteja en los nudos.

5 Se ha desarrollado un método de prueba para comprobar la facilidad a ser cortada de la malla quirúrgica formada según aspectos de la presente invención. En el método de prueba, la malla quirúrgica evaluada según la cantidad de cierres de tijera que se necesitaron para cortar la malla con agujas quirúrgicas. Se encontró que la malla se corta de manera excelente debido a que ésta requiere un cierre de tijera para cortar a través de la misma. También se cortó la malla de forma diagonal y en patrones circulares para determinar cuán fácilmente se desteje la malla y cuánto se
10 desteje una vez cortada. La malla no se destejió más que un nudo después de ser cortada en ambas direcciones. Para determinar además si la malla se destejería, se hizo pasar una sutura a través del poro más cercano desde el borde de corte, y se tiró de ésta. Esta manipulación no destejió la malla. De este modo, la malla quirúrgica es fácil de cortar y no se desteje después de su manipulación.
Las realizaciones pueden procesarse con un tratamiento superficial que incrementa su capacidad hidrófila,

35 Se definió un método para evaluar la facilidad de entrega a través de una cánula para asegurar que la malla quirúrgica podría utilizarse de forma laparoscópica. Se enrollaron y empujaron varias longitudes a través de dos cánulas de tamaño estándar diferentes utilizando pinzas de prensión quirúrgicas. La resistencia al desgarro fue hallado a través de un método que implica cortar un “rasgón” de 10 mm en el borde, perpendicular al borde del eje longitudinal y centrado a lo largo de la longitud de la malla. La malla se montó en pinzas de tela neumáticas como se describió anteriormente en los métodos de pruebas de tensión. Se cargaron las muestras mediante pruebas de desplazamiento controlado a una tasa de estiramiento del 100%/s (2400 mm/min) hasta el fallo. 10 Se llevaron a cabo pruebas de Fatiga a la Tensión en el dispositivo de malla quirúrgica según los aspectos de la presente invención y representativas de los tipos predicados, incluyendo Malla Vicryl y Malla Bard. Se cargaron las muestras en las pinzas de tela neumáticas, como se describió anteriormente en los métodos de prueba a la tensión anteriores. Se sumergieron las muestras en PBS a temperatura ambiente durante el ciclo. Se llevó un ciclo de carga controlada sinusoidal al 60% de la resistencia última a la tensión de la malla. Se determinó el número de ciclos hasta
