Abstract

Se presenta un dispositivo detector de la fluorescencia para determinar la presencia o la concentración de un analito en un medio líquido o gaseoso. El dispositivo consta de un diodo emisor de luz que tiene un orificio (29) generalmente perpendicular a la unión P-N, de manera que la luz se emita desde la unión al interior del orificio (29). El orificio se llena de una matriz fluorescente (32) que es permeable al analito y que contiene moléculas indicadoras fluorescentes cuya fluorescencia se atenúa o se mejora por la presencia del analito. Se sitúa un fotodetector (23) en un extremo del orificio, de manera que la luz fluorescente recibida desde las moléculas indicadoras de la fluorescencia se convierta en una señal eléctrica que pueda correlacionarse con la presencia o concentración del analito en el medio gaseoso o líquido en contacto con la matriz fluorescente.
