Abstract
An instrument for use in association with an electrical counter mechanism for recording stresses on a test piece, comprising two carriers intended to be respectively attached to two spaced-apart parts of a test piece and capable of relative sliding movement in the direction of the stresses to be measured, one of said carrying members having one or more contactors mounted thereon slideable so that when one carrier member moves relative to the other due to stress on the test piece, the sliding contactors successively collide against the fixed contactors whereby, by making electrical connections between the aforementioned fixed contactors and the electrical contactor mechanism, said mechanism will consequently be excited.
