Abstract

La invención se refiere a un envase (1, 4) en el cual puede transportarse y/o venderse un alimento (8), el envase contiene un alimento que se calienta para su consumo y que tiene que se calentado en el envase (1, 4). El envase consta de un material adecuado para un horno microondas y el alimento (8) que contiene está preferiblemente al menos parcialmente crudo. Debe haber el suficiente líquido dentro del envase, incluyendo el contenido de agua del alimento (8) para que el alimento se cocine en una atmósfera de vapor que se forma cuando se calienta en un microondas. El envase está provisto también de elementos (5) para limitar y/o reducir la presión del vapor que se constituye dentro del mismo durante el calentamiento rápido en el horno microondas. Los elementos comprenden especialmente una válvula (5) o un orificio con una pegatina, con un grado relativamente alto de resistencia al flujo. De acuerdo con el procedimiento de cocinado de la invención, el alimento al menos parcialmente crudo (8) se cocina en un envase (1, 4) en un horno microondas. Durante el calentamiento, el contenido de agua del alimento y la construcción del envase crean una situación de intercambio de vapor con un exceso de presión. El envase tiene la forma de un envase para el transporte o la venta (1, 4) del tipo antes mencionado.
