LA PRESENTE INVENCION SE REFIERE A UNA COMPOSICION A BASE DE OXIDO DE CERIO Y DE OXIDO DE ZIRCONIO Y POSIBLEMENTE DE UN OXIDO DE ITRIO, DE ESCANDALIO O DE TIERRA RARA, EN UNA PROPORCION ATOMICA CERIO/ZIRCONIO DE AL MENOS 1 QUE ESTA CARACTERIZADA PORQUE PRESENTA UNA SUPERFICIE DESPUES DE UNA CALCINACION DE 6 HORAS A 900°C DE AL MENOS 35M SUP2 /G Y UNA CAPACIDAD DE ALMACENAMIENTO DE OXIGENO A 400°C DE AL MENOS 1,5,L DE O 2 /G. ESTA COMPOSICION SE PREPARA POR MEZCLA EN MEDIO LIQUIDO DE UN COMPUESTO DE CERIO, DE UN COMPUESTO DE ZIRCONIO, Y EN SU CASO, UN COMPUESTO DE ITRIO, DE ESCANDALIO O DE TIERRA RARA; CALENTAMIENTO Y CALCINACION DEL PRECIPITADO OBTENIDO. SE PREPARA LA MEZCLA PRECIPITADA UTILIZANDO UNA SOLUCION DE ZIRCONIO DE MANERA QUE LA CANTIDAD DE BASE NECESARIA PARA ALCANZAR EL PUNTO EQUIVALENTE DURANTE UNA DOSIFICACION DE ACIDO-BASE DE ESTA SOLUCION VERIFICA LA CONDICION DE RELACION MOLAR OH - /ZR INFERIOR O IGUAL A 1,65.
