SE DESCRIBE UNA CELDA ELECTROQUIMICA PARA ELIMINACION DE IONES DE MEDIOS ACUOSOS, ESTANDO EQUIPADA LA CELDA CON UNA ENTRADA Y UNA SALIDA PARA EL MEDIO ACUOSO A SER DESIONIZADO, DISPONIENDOSE ADEMAS DE SUMINISTRO Y CONDUCCIONES DE DESCARGA PARA EL FLUJO DE SALMUERA. LA CELDA ESTA TAMBIEN EQUIPADA CON UN INTERCAMBIADOR DE IONES Y CON ELECTRODOS LIGADOS SOBRE EL INTERIOR A ESPACIOS DE ELECTRODO ENTRE LOS CUALES, DE FORMA SEPARADA MEDIANTE MEMBRANAS, SE LOCALIZA UN ESPACIO DE SALMUERA. EL OBJETIVO DE LA INVENCION ES SUMINISTRAR UNA CELDA ELECTROQUIMICA DE ESTE TIPO QUE PUEDE SER CONTROLADA Y REGULADA DIRECTAMENTE POR MEDIO DEL CAMPO ELECTRICO APLICADO Y LA CORRIENTE ELECTRICA APLICADA. PARA ESTE OBJETIVO EL ESPACIO DE SALMUERA ES DIRECTAMENTE ADYACENTE AL ESPACIO DE ELECTRODO Y LOS ESPACIOS DE ELECTRODOS ESTAN RELLENOS CON MATERIAL DE INTERCAMBIO DE IONES, CONTENIENDO EL ESPACIO DE CATODO UN INTERCAMBIADOR DE IONES Y EL ESPACIO DE ANODO UN INTERCAMBIADOR DE CATIONES. ADICIONALMENTE LOS ELECTRODOS ESTAN EN CONTACTO DIRECTO CON LA RESINA DE INTERCAMBIO DE IONES Y LOS LECHOS DE RESINA DE INTERCAMBIO DE CATIONES. LAS CELDAS ELECTROLITICAS MULTIPLES CONSISTEN EN AL MENOS DOS CELDAS DEL TIPO DESCRITO, QUE ESTAN DISPUESTAS DE FORMA PROXIMA UNA A OTRA.
