ENTRE LA CAPA (16) METALICA Y EL SUBSTRATO (12), LA CHAPA COMPORTA UNA CAPA (14) DE UN COMPUESTO INTERMETALICO QUE COMPRENDE AL MENOS HIERRO, CROMO Y ESTAÑO. PARA FABRICAR ESTA CHAPA, SE DEPOSITA UNA CAPA (16) DE REVESTIMIENTO METALICA QUE CONTIENE PRINCIPALMENTE ESTAÑO POR VIA ELECTROLITICA SOBRE UNA CHAPA (12) DE ACERO INOXIDABLE. LA CHAPA REVESTIDA ES CALENTADA A UNA TEMPERATURA SUPERIOR A LA TEMPERATURA DE FUSION DE LA CAPA (16) DE REVESTIMIENTO PARA PERMITIR LA FORMACION DEL COMPUESTO INTERMETALICO.
