Abstract
Coated steel products are made by electroplating nickel on the surface of the steel or on an intervening layer of copper and then forming a layer of aluminum by applying molten aluminum thereto so as to form an intermediate layer of an intermetallic compound (Ni3Al) nickel and aluminum. Such steel has better heat and corrosion resistance than conventional aluminum-coated steels.
