Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for processing the running edges of a piece of sports equipment, in particular a ski or a snowboard, according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Devices of this type are already known and are used for the automated processing of skis, in particular for preparing the running surface covering and for grinding the edges.
- the individual processing devices for the running edge are arranged in such a way that the side surface of the running edge was processed first and then the lower edge was processed with a so-called tuning angle of a few degrees deviating from the alignment of the running surface covering.
- the object of the invention is to specify a device for processing the running edges of a piece of sports equipment, in particular a ski or a snowboard, with which more precise and sharper cutting edges and thus better grip of the ski can be achieved.
- a device for processing the running edges of a piece of sports equipment in particular a ski or a snowboard, with which more precise and sharper cutting edges and thus better grip of the ski can be achieved.
- minimal abrasion of the metallic material of the running edges and thus a long service life of the ski should be achieved.
- the invention proposes a device with the features of claim 1.
- the movement of the sports equipment is automatically caused by the transport device.
- the movement sequence can include straight sections, in particular in the area of the individual processing stations, in which the direction of movement runs parallel to a longitudinal direction of the sports equipment. However, the sequence of movements does not have to run continuously in a straight direction. It is essential that the piece of sports equipment is guided by the automated movement sequence first to the lower edge processing device, then to the side edge processing device and finally to the deburring device and is preferably moved by these devices.
- FIG. 1 shows, in a schematic view, the devices of the exemplary embodiment of the invention that process the sports equipment, which they will pass through one after the other.
- Fig. 2 shows a schematic side view of a further embodiment with a transport device that can be temporarily connected to the sports device for the automated movement of the sports device relative to the individual devices that Work on sports equipment, especially the running surface covering and the running edge.
- FIG 3 shows an exemplary embodiment of a running surface processing device in a schematic cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the sports equipment or perpendicular to the direction of movement thereof in a device according to the invention.
- FIG. 4 shows an exemplary embodiment of a lower edge processing device according to the invention in a representation similar to that in FIG.
- FIG. 5 shows an exemplary embodiment of a side edge processing device, also in a representation similar to that in FIG.
- Figures 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d each show exemplary embodiments of a deburring device according to the invention in a representation similar to that of Figures 3 to 5.
- FIG. 7 shows the last section of the exemplary embodiment of a device according to the invention, viewed in the direction of movement x, in a perspective representation.
- the side edges are machined after the lower edge tuning and, on the other hand, a deburring device is used as the preferably last operation.
- FIG. 1 shows a very schematic view of a tread processing device 1 which—seen in the direction of movement x—is followed by a bottom edge processing device 2 , a side edge processing device 3 and a deburring device 4 .
- the lower edge processing device 2 is arranged in front of the side edge processing device 3 and then follows a deburring device 4 that removes the burr formed by the side edge processing device on the running edge.
- a frame 5 or carrier or the like is generally shown, which is arranged in a fixed manner and holds the individual components of the device according to the invention.
- a transport device 6 can be temporarily connected to the upper side of the sports device 9, for example by means of holding elements 8 that can be raised and lowered in the direction of the arrow 7, for example by applying a negative pressure.
- holding elements 8 can be raised and lowered in the direction of the arrow 7, for example by applying a negative pressure.
- other mechanical holding elements are also entirely conceivable and possible.
- the transport device 6 moves the piece of sports equipment 9 past the individual processing devices 1-4 in the direction of movement x. It is automated and controlled by a computer unit that is known per se and is not shown.
- the running surface covering and the undersurface of the running edge that is flush with it is processed.
- the running surface treatment device 1 has two rotary grinding elements located one behind the other. Several, in particular four, such rotary grinding elements can also be provided in order to implement the following steps:
- the tread covering is denoted by 10 in FIG. It is located on the underside of the ski body 11 of the sports device 9.
- the metal running edge 12 has an edge leg 12a, which is anchored in the ski body 11 in a manner known per se.
- the actual running edge is formed by the edge web 12b, which has a bottom surface 13 and a side surface 14.
- the bottom surface 13 is sometimes also referred to as the bottom edge, and the side surface 14 is sometimes referred to as the side edge.
- the lower surface is flush with the lower surface of the tread covering 10 and is machined together with the tread in the work step shown in FIG.
- the processing is carried out, for example, by means of a grinding belt (in particular corundum sandpaper) or—as shown in FIG. 2—by means of grinding wheels, in which case grinding tools with ceramic-bonded grinding particles can be used in particular.
- 3 essentially corresponds to the prior art.
- FIG. 4 What is new about the device according to the invention is a lower edge processing device 2, as shown in FIG. 4, which—seen in the direction of movement x—is located in front of the side edge processing device 3 according to FIG. According to FIGS. 4 and 5, these two processing devices are then followed by a deburring device 4, examples of which are shown in FIGS. 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d.
- the lower edge processing device 2 is explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment. It advantageously produces a lower surface on the running edge which runs straight in a cross section to the longitudinal direction of the sports device 9 and which is aligned at an adjustable tuning angle with respect to the flat running surface covering 10 - more precisely: its underside.
- the tuning angle is very relevant to the handling of the ski and can preferably be set between 0.2° and 1°.
- a small lateral burr 15 can occur during this work step, but this is not relevant because in the following step according to FIG. 5 this small burr is automatically removed during the side edge processing.
- the side edge 14 is processed at an angle ⁇ to a perpendicular to the undersurface of the tread covering 10 and a burr 16 is formed which points downwards.
- Grinding belts that are moved by a motor, preferably corundum grinding paper, are particularly suitable as processing devices for the lower edges and the side edges.
- motor-driven grinding wheels in particular with vitrified bonded grinding particles, are certainly possible.
- Motor-driven cup wheels are also possible, in particular with vitrified bonded grinding particles.
- diamond-based abrasive particles can also be used as the abrasive particles.
- the device according to the invention is constructed in such a way that the last work step is deburring, namely by a deburring device arranged last, viewed in the direction of movement.
- FIGS. 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d show exemplary embodiments of such a deburring device.
- the deburring device 4 comprises a processing element which is stationary relative to the frame 5 of the device during operation and past which the transport device 6 moves the piece of sports equipment 9 .
- the burr 16 rubs against the fixed machining element 17 and is thereby removed.
- Such a stationary processing element 17 can be, for example, a stationary grinding wheel, a file or a grinding rubber, in particular with grinding particles made of diamond.
- the position of the stationary processing element 17 can be adjusted relative to the frame 5 in an advantageous manner. In the case of an even grinding surface, the position is adjusted in such a way that it essentially corresponds to the tuning angle according to FIG.
- 6d also shows fixed machining elements 17, which here consist of dimensionally stable pins with ceramically bonded grinding particles.
- movable processing elements in particular processing elements driven in rotation by means of a motor (not shown), are provided.
- the embodiment shown in FIG. 6b is a brush 18 whose axis of rotation is parallel to the direction of movement. This is perpendicular to the plane of the drawing in FIG. 6b and is denoted by 19.
- FIG. 6c also involves a brush as the processing element, which is driven in rotation by a motor.
- the axis of rotation 20 is perpendicular to the direction of movement x.
- the embodiment shown in Fig. 7 shows the output-side end area of a device according to the invention with a side edge processing device 3 in the form of a rotating grinding wheel and a deburring device 4 with a fixed processing element 17 in the form of a grinding layer 17.
- This grinding layer 17 lies on a carrier 21 , whose position relative to the frame 5 is adjustable.
- the carrier 21 can be pivoted about the axis 22 .
- the pivoting position can be set using the setting wheel 23.
- the design of FIG. 7 essentially corresponds to the schematic representation of FIG. 6a.
- FIGS. 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d as well as in the present FIGS. 3 to 5 and in FIG. 7, only one of the two sides of the piece of sports equipment 9 is shown.
- the sports equipment is usually designed essentially symmetrically to the longitudinal direction (center line) and has running edges that are mirror-symmetrical on the left and right. Accordingly, the processing devices will also be advantageously designed in such a way that they process the left-hand and right-hand running edges at the same time during one run. This feature is prior art in and of itself.
- Complete preparation of the ski then includes a further step, namely the waxing of the running surface, which, however, is not directly related to the preparation of the running edge according to the invention and is therefore not shown in more detail here.
- a more precise and sharper cutting edge can be formed on the running edge of sports equipment, in particular skis or snowboards, and the grip of the sports equipment can thereby be increased.
- You can work in such a way that the abrasive removal of the metallic running edge is kept low, so that a long service life of the sports equipment can be achieved.
- the angles shown above namely the tuning angle and the side edge angle ⁇ , can preferably be set electronically using a control computer.
- dog attitudes are also quite conceivable and possible.
- This can also be adjusted either manually or automatically from a central operating computer.
- the individual components can be attached to a common frame or carrier. However, it is also possible, for example, to design the deburring device separately or to arrange it with a waxing station outside of the rest of the system. This also enables simple retrofitting to existing systems that are otherwise only slightly modified.
