Definitions

  • the invention relates to a workpiece carrier system.
  • Workpiece carrier systems are used to transport workpieces to various work stations, such as on a production line.
  • GB 1, 175,786 describes a workpiece carrier system in which the workpiece carriers are designed as carriages which run on rails and are connected to an endless traction means (conveyor belt).
  • the workpiece carriers each have a clamping device with clamping elements, between which the traction means is arranged and by means of which the workpiece carrier can be clamped to the traction means.
  • Pulling means in particular a chain, is guided by which the workpiece carriers supported in particular on it are carried along by frictional force.
  • the chain is deflected at two deflection points, one of which is driven.
  • EP 1 999043 B1 describes a workpiece carrier system with a fixed basic structure, a revolving traction means that is guided over pulleys, and
  • the workpiece carrier has load rollers, which on a The rolling surface of the basic frame runs and via which the weight of the workpiece carrier and a workpiece resting on the workpiece carrier is transferred to the basic frame. Furthermore, the workpiece carrier has a clamping device with clamping elements, between which the traction means is arranged and by means of which the workpiece carrier can be clamped to the traction means.
  • the feed and return sections of the traction mechanism each run in two horizontal planes.
  • workpiece carrier systems are also known in which the feed and return sections lie in a horizontal plane, i.e. are at the same height.
  • the system known from EP 1 999043 B1 is to be used as a workpiece carrier system with forward and reverse running in a horizontal plane, the construction is very complex, since the load rollers of the workpiece carriers are then no longer suitable to be transported component. Rather, an additional chassis would have to be installed, which would increase the complexity and space requirements.
  • the workpiece carrier system comprises a fixed basic frame, a driven, revolving traction means which is guided over at least two deflection rollers, and at least one workpiece carrier.
  • the workpiece carrier has load rollers and a clamping device.
  • the load rollers run on a rolling surface of the basic frame and the weight of the workpiece carrier and a workpiece resting on the workpiece carrier is transferred to the basic frame via the load rollers.
  • the clamping device has clamping elements, between which the traction means is arranged.
  • the workpiece carrier can be clamped to the traction means by means of the clamping device.
  • the axial direction of the pulleys runs orthogonally to the axial direction of the load rollers.
  • the orthogonal alignment of the axial direction of the deflection rollers to the axial direction of the load rollers ensures that even when the traction device is guided in a horizontal plane, the load rollers can transfer the weight of the workpiece carrier and a workpiece resting on the workpiece carrier to the basic structure. An additional undercarriage is not necessary and the design effort for the system is correspondingly low.
  • the axial direction of the deflection rollers runs in the vertical and the axial direction of the load rollers runs in the horizontal.

  • the traction means is guided in this way in a horizontal plane and at the same time from the left and clamped on the right.
  • the workpiece carrier can thus be easily detached from the traction means and then removed without removing an under-grip bolt or the like or without compressing the traction means.
  • the traction device is designed as a flat belt, it should be oriented in such a way that its flat side is oriented vertically.
  • the flat belt should stand vertically in order to be able to provide the clamping elements with a sufficiently large clamping surface.
  • the vertical alignment of the deflection roller axis described above is not mandatory.
  • the axial direction of the deflection rollers can be tilted at an angle to the vertical. This tilt angle should be ⁇ 45 °, preferably 5 ° to 20 °.
  • the workpiece carrier in this embodiment can have a workpiece holder which is also tilted by the tilt angle relative to the axis of the load rollers.
  • the workpiece holder can compensate for the inclined position of the deflection rollers or the load rollers, so that the transported workpiece is in a horizontal position.
  • the inclined position of the deflection roller axis ensures that the return and the forward travel of the traction mechanism are not in the same horizontal plane. In this way, even large workpieces can be transported with limited space.

  • This traction means guide can be trapezoidal, in which a bead or thickening formed on the traction means is advantageously guided. In this way, for example, a lateral centering of the traction mechanism is possible.
  • the load rollers of the workpiece carrier can be designed as steerable rollers.
  • the workpiece carrier can be equipped with additional guide rollers. This ensures that the position of the workpiece carrier on the straight line and also in the deflection is guided in such a way that the traction device does not have to absorb any lateral forces.
  • the guide rollers are guided on guide webs formed on the basic framework or in a guide groove formed on the basic framework.
  • the clamping device of the workpiece carrier is used to achieve the frictional connection between the workpiece carrier and the traction means via a clamp.
  • the workpiece carrier has clamping elements, between which the traction means is arranged.
  • the workpiece carrier can be clamped to the traction means by means of these clamping elements of the workpiece carrier.
  • the clamping device moves completely with the workpiece carrier, so that no wear occurs during normal operation.
