Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for operating an electrical machine and electrical machines which are suitable for this method.
- Electrical machines and their operating methods are known and proven in various embodiments. Basically, electrical machines can be differentiated according to the type of movement of a moving core.
- an armature as the core performs a linear movement, while in rotary actuators a rotor rotates as the core.
- the Free Encyclopedia a reluctance motor with a stator and a rotor is known.
- the stator has pins directed radially inward as coil cores, which are switched on and off consecutively in the direction of rotation of the rotor.
- a reluctance motor has a low torque density, the nominal torque based on the volume of the machine is lower than, for example, a synchronous motor.
- the invention makes it its task to use electrical machines To make available, which can be easily adapted to a wide variety of tasks due to their modular structure and which can still be operated economically.
- a current of constant mean value from a DC voltage source is applied to the coils such that the device is operated in the magnetic saturation range of the core, the saturation preferably being more than 10 3 A / cm.
- Such a value can be achieved with a core that has soft iron or at least one core of laminations, for example transformer sheets, dynamo sheets or the like.
- the magnetic saturation of this soft iron or the metal sheets should be as high as possible.
- One advantage of the method according to the invention is the operation of an electrical machine with an operating voltage that is less than the contact voltage, in particular less than 60 V, preferably less than 40 V.
- the method according to the invention is suitable both for rotary actuators in which the core, the rotor, executes a rotary movement when a current is applied to the coils, and for translational actuators in which the core, the armature, executes a linear movement.
- coils in particular have proven to be suitable which are characterized by a winding of a conductive film extending over a large area, the windings being separated by an insulating layer.
- foils made of copper or aluminum are thought of, the windings of which are electrically isolated from one another, for example by a paper web, possibly by a simple layer of lacquer.
- Such a coil has two advantages for carrying out the method according to the invention, namely comparatively insensitive to high electrical currents of, for example, 40 A and more.
- such a coil can be manufactured without any problems and mechanically processed, in particular cut, sawed or drilled, perpendicular to the layers of the winding, since the turns themselves are not damaged, but only the conductor cross-section.
- a coil blank can be produced on an elongated core, after which coils can be separated by sawing or cutting.
- the film and the insulating layer are formed in one piece.
- a copper-clad Teflon film can be thought of, its PFTE layer for example. Has a material thickness of 10 micrometers, while the CU layer is 30 micrometers thick.
- Such coils also allow a conical design that can be assembled to form a circular ring, a stator of a rotary actuator, with almost no gap.
- the core of the electrical machine according to the invention is formed by at least one magnetizable laminated core on a central, non-magnetizable shaft.
- spacer sleeves are guided on the shaft, which brace the laminated core between shaft-mounted head plates and / or space several laminated cores.
- the spacer sleeves are also not magnetizable, so that magnetic forces only act on the laminated core (s).
- the core moves with the laminated core through a plurality of coils or past a plurality of coils which are arranged directly adjacent or evenly spaced, or that the laminated core of the core moves past a plurality of coils that form a circular ring.
- the core In the case of a linear actuator which only performs one stroke or which is designed as a spring, the core will move through evenly spaced coils or past them. If a linear actuator in the manner of a linear motor is intended, such coils will preferably be arranged directly adjacent. In the case of rotary actuators, the laminated core forms poles using wings that move between a large number of coils that form two coaxial circular rings.
- a coil arrangement is rectangular, in particular square, with a central through opening for the core or armature.
- such a coil arrangement has the further advantage that the coil arrangement can be provided with perforations on the corner, through which an assembly shaft passes, and that spacer sleeves are guided on the assembly shaft, which spaced the coil arrangement and / or clamp head plates between two assembly shaft remnants.
- a head plate of the armature is provided with perforations through which spacer sleeves of the coil arrangement designed as guides are penetrated. Expediently, slide bearings are then provided in the openings. Spacer sleeves are advantageously used both for mounting the coil assemblies and for guiding the armature.
- the coils are arranged on a winding core in a ring around the core.
- the coils are conical and assembled to form an annular coil arrangement.
- at least two coil arrangements are provided which, with respect to a shaft of the rotor, are arranged axially spaced apart and in alignment.
- Such a circular coil arrangement can be obtained in a structurally simple manner in that the coil arrangement has a radially inner positioning ring for the coils, for example made of a potting material.
- the coil arrangement has a radially outer positioning ring for the coils, that the positioning ring has openings for assembly shafts, that spacer sleeves are guided on the assembly shafts, which spaced the coil assemblies and brace them between two head plates fixed to the assembly shaft.
- the outer positioning ring is also made of a potting compound, the compressive strength is produced by pipe sections that are introduced into the potting compound.
- a non-magnetizable rotor shaft with at least one magnetizable laminated core is provided with radially arranged vanes which dip into the space between two coil arrangements.
- non-magnetizable housing for a machine or an actuator according to the invention can also be provided.

- Fig. 1 shows a cut in the left half of the figure core or armature 1 for a linear movement in the axial direction.
- the armature 1 is provided with two laminated cores 2, 3 on a non-magnetic, central shaft 4.
- the laminated cores 2, 3 from a large number of, for example, radially oriented transformer sheets, dynamo sheets III or IV or the like with a typical material thickness of 0.5 mm, like the shaft 4, have a circular cross-section, see FIG. 2.
- the magnetic saturation of such sheets should be as high as possible, currently up to 2.310 4 Gauss, around the loss conduction to be kept as low as possible.
- the laminated cores 2, 3 are spaced apart from one another by a spacer sleeve 5 on the shaft 4. Two further spacer sleeves 6.7 are provided between the shaft ends and the laminated cores 2.3.
- the non-magnetic spacer sleeves 5 to 7 and the two laminated cores 2, 3 are clamped between two head plates 8, 9, which are fixed to the shaft 4 with screws 10, 11.
- Such an armature 1 in conjunction with the coils that set it in motion, forms, as it were, a module that can be connected in parallel and / or in series with other modules.
- a translational actuator 14 with four armatures 15 to 19 connected in parallel, which are rigidly connected to one another via common head plates 19, 20, is explained further with reference to FIGS. Between the head plates 19, 20 are like as in the previous embodiment.
- the actuator 14 is designed essentially symmetrically to a horizontal and to a vertical center plane 26, 27.
- the anchors 15 to 18 held by the head plates 19, 20 are linearly displaceable within a cage 28, preferably made of an amagnetic material, as indicated by the double arrow.
- the cage 28 has sixteen similar mounting rods 31 between two side elements 29, 30.
- Four assembly rods 31 each pass through four coil assemblies 32 to 35 assigned to an armature 15, see also FIG. 5.
- the four coil assemblies 32 to 35 are equally spaced in the direction of movement of the armature 15.
- the air gap between the Coil arrangements 32 to 35 and the laminated cores 24, 25 of the armature 15 amounts to between 0.3 and 0.5 mm.
- the coil arrangements 32 to 35 with spacer sleeves 36 to 38 arranged between them are braced between the side cheeks 29,30 via two outer spacer sleeves 39,40.
- the coil arrangements 32 to 35 are to be designed to be pressure-resistant.
- the four anchors 15 to 18 are connected to one another by the common head plates 19, 20, see FIGS. 5 and 6.
- the head plates 19, 20 are provided with openings into which slide bearings 43, 44 are embedded. These plain bearings 43, 44 are guided here by way of example on the inner spacer sleeves 45, 46. Alternative storage options are possible without any problems.
- the structure of a pressure-resistant coil arrangement 50 is explained further with reference to FIGS. 7 to 11.
- the coil arrangement 50 has a central opening 51 for an armature 15 to 18.
- Four further openings 52 in the corner regions of the square coil arrangement 50 serve to lead through assembly rods 31.
- the 100 to 250 turns of the coil 53 for example, made of a copper-coated Teflon film with a PFTE layer with a material thickness of 10 ⁇ m and a material thickness of the Cu layer of 30 ⁇ m on a coil carrier 54, a Teflon film, a self-adhesive Teflon fabric or the like , whose material thickness of about 0.125 mm is shown clearly exaggerated in the drawing, are caught between two non-electrically conductive or to the side supports 55,56.
- coil assemblies 50 like. Fig. 7 are clamped between two spacer sleeves and must therefore be sufficiently pressure-resistant. This is ensured by spacers 57 in tubular form, as shown in FIGS. 10 and 11, which, like the side supports 55, 56, are preferably made of a non-magnetic material. These spacers 57 essentially absorb the compressive forces acting on the coil arrangement 50 between the side supports 55, 56 in the area of the openings 52.
- a casting compound 60 such as a casting resin, for example epoxy or polyester
- the coil arrangements 32 to 35 can be immediately wet-cooled.
- coils 64 with cores 65 are embedded in a potting compound 64 and arranged around two armatures 66.
- the number of armatures 66 and coils 65 can easily be increased, as in the previous exemplary embodiment.
- only one coil 65 can be arranged between the armatures 66, which is thus used twice.
- the armatures 67 have laminated cores 68 with a square cross-section on a shaft 69 which, as in the previous exemplary embodiment, are braced by means of spacer sleeves 70. So that coil assemblies 63 can also be clamped on assembly rods 71 in a comparable manner, but the potting compound 64 would generally not withstand the pressure, pipe sections 72 are introduced into the potting compound 64, which absorb these compressive forces.
- the two armatures 67 exemplified here are cast with the coils 65 in a housing 73 made of a non-magnetic material.
- a further alternative is a linear motor in which an armature is moved through a large number of coil arrangements, which are then preferably directly lined up next to one another.
- the winding of the coils with areally extending self-electrically insulating foils coated with a conductor, preferably copper, alternatively e.g. aluminum, possibly also two-layer windings, a conductive and an insulating foil, has several advantages. Due to the large cross-section of the conductor, high currents can occur regularly more than 10 A can flow without any problems. In addition, the geometry of a coil can be changed by sawing, cutting and drilling perpendicular to the sheet extending over a large area.
- FIG. 13 shows, in a plan view of an outer turn, a coil arrangement 80 of conical design.
- the coil arrangement 80 has a coil 81 on a core 82, possibly also on a simple winding body.
- Such coil arrangements 80 are simple to manufacture.
- the winding is applied to an elongated core, perpendicular to the plane of the drawing in FIG. 15.
- the coil geometry can then be created from such a blank with a laser or simply by sawing. 13 can be obtained. If necessary, the open coil edges must be reworked so that there is no interturn shortcut.
- the conical geometry of the coil arrangement 80 allows a circular arrangement. 16.
- the twenty-four coil arrangements 83, 84 arranged in a circular ring form the disk-shaped stator 85 of a rotary actuator. Radially on the inside, the coil arrangements 83, 84 are held with an alternating, radial spacing in an assembly and positioning ring 86 which has a central opening 100. Another assembly and positioning ring 87 is provided radially on the outside.
- Both assembly and positioning rings 86, 87 can be created in a simple manner by encapsulating the coil arrangements 83, 84 with a synthetic resin or the like.
- a synthetic resin or the like In the case of potting in particular, it is easily possible to use the two flat sides of the coil arrangements 83, 84 as Slapping surface for an oil film during operation. Other techniques for applying a skin with a material thickness of approximately 0.2 to 0.3 mm can nevertheless be used.
- the coil arrangements 83, 84 can be glued to one another through a comparatively thin layer of the potting compound.
- openings 88 are formed to be pressure-stable by spacers 89 in the form of tubes.
- the geometry of the rotor 90 shown in detail in FIG. 17, as the core of the rotary actuator, a laminated core made of a large number of transformer laminations as in the case of the armature 1, is basically known.
- a central ring 91 On a central ring 91, the central opening 92 of which is penetrated by a rotor shaft 93, see FIG. 18, six vanes 94 extend radially outward in the exemplary embodiment.
- the radial extension of the vanes 94 of the rotor 90 which is arranged between stators 85, see FIG. 18, extends approximately to the dashed circle segment 95 in FIG. 16, the radial extension of the ring 91 to the dashed circle segment 101 If the radially inner assembly and positioning ring 86 is covered by the ring 91 and the wings 94 are securely positioned between the coil arrangements 80, see FIG. 9.
- the rotary actuator shown in detail in FIG. 18 has three sheet-metal rotors 90 connected as it were in series on the rotor shaft 93.
- the rotors 90 are evenly spaced apart by spacer sleeves 96 and two coil arrangements 80 enclose a rotor 90.
- Further modules, consisting of a rotor 90 and a coil arrangement 90 can be added in a modular fashion.
- the outer spacer sleeves are then fixed on the rotor shaft 93, for example as explained for the armature 1.
- the central opening 100 of the radially inner assembly and positioning ring 86 for the penetration of the rotor shaft 93 and the spacer sleeve 96 is to be dimensioned accordingly.
- An oil film can optionally also be provided in the space between a coil arrangement 80 and a rotor 90.
- the coil assemblies 80 with the radially outer assembly and positioning ring 87 are also spaced apart by spacer sleeves 97 on assembly rods 98 and braced against an indicated housing 99.
