Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de transestérification par fusion pour la production d'un polycarbonate à partir d'un composé dihydroxyaryle et d'un carbonate de diaryle. Le procédé selon l'invention est caractérisé en ce que le taux de la réaction entre le composé dihydroxyaryle avec le carbonate de diaryle est surveillé et contrôlé. En particulier, le taux de la réaction entre le composé dihydroxyaryle avec le carbonate de diaryle est surveillé et – dans le cas où le taux de réaction chute au-dessous d'une valeur prédéfinie – le taux de réaction est à nouveau augmenté.
