Definitions

  • the invention relates to a facade or roof cladding with cladding elements which are fixed with fastening elements to a substructure with slats running along a row of cladding elements, each cladding element having a head region along an upper edge running along the row of cladding elements with a has slat support legs extending in the direction of the substructure for supporting the head area on an upper side of the slat and has a foot area with an engagement recess along a lower edge running along the row of cladding elements, and wherein the fastening element has a slat engagement section at a first end, which extends along one of the outside of the facades - Or roof lining opposite back of the slat extends from an upper slat edge to a lower slat edge and ge at one of the top opposite underside of the slat, wherein the fastening element has a head holding section with which the slat support leg of a first cladding element is held on the upper side of
  • a facade or a roof of a building can be covered with many cladding elements arranged next to one another, with the individual cladding elements being fixed to a substructure.
  • the substructure usually has a number of slats running parallel to one another, with the individual cladding elements each being fastened to at least one of these slats.
  • a row of cladding elements is usually arranged and fixed along each slat.
  • the spacing of the slats is expediently specified in relation to the dimensions of the cladding elements such that a lower edge of the cladding elements of a row of cladding elements arranged higher overlaps an upper edge of a row of cladding elements which are fixed to a slat arranged below. In this way, for example, rear-ventilated facades or roof coverings can be produced.
  • the cladding elements may be planar slabs of natural material such as slate. Façade elements or roof tiles are also known from practice that have a complex shape and thereby facilitate attachment of the individual cladding elements to the substructure or a form-fitting one Allow engagement with adjacently arranged paneling elements.
  • WO 2019/081626 A1 describes different variants for a fastening element for cladding elements of facades or roofs, in which both a head region of a first cladding element and a foot region of an overlappingly arranged second cladding element can be fixed to the same slat section with the fastening element.
  • those variants of the fastening element which are in engagement with two cladding elements and can fix both to a slat at the same time have a complex shape and require complex assembly on site.
  • the head holding section has a slat support limb section that rests against an upper side of the slat support limb of the first cladding element and an angled head clamping section that rests on the outside in the head region of the first cladding element, with which the head region of the first cladding element is pressed against the slat , and that the foot engaging portion is spaced from the
  • the outer surface of the first cladding element runs in the head area from the upper side of the slat to the underside and engages in a form-fitting manner in the engagement recess in the foot area of the second cladding element, so that the foot area of the second cladding element moves upwards from the underside of the slat with the engagement recess into the Foot engaging portion of the fastener can be slid in until the head portion of the second trim member can be supported on a top surface of an overlying batten.
  • the slat support limb section of the fastening element prevents the head region of the cladding element resting on the slat from being displaced upwards, or the slat support limb from being able to be spaced apart from the upper side of the slat.
  • the head clamping section which bears against the outside of the head area, prevents the head area of the covering element from being pulled outwards from the slat and thereby being able to be removed from the outside of the slat.
  • the head clamping section supports and facilitates the arrangement and fixing of the fastening element, which is thereby fixed to the head area of the paneling element and to the underside of the associated slat in the intended assembly position.
  • the fastening element can be fixed during assembly without the engagement of the foot engaging portion of the fastening element, which is only then brought about, in the engagement recess of a further connecting element is necessary, which is fixed in a row of connecting elements arranged above it.
  • a particularly simple and reliable assembly of the cladding element is facilitated.
  • a first cladding element must first be fixed to a slat arranged underneath.
  • the head area of the first cladding element is fixed to the lower batten with a single fastening element or, if necessary, with a plurality of fastening elements.
  • the foot engaging portions of the fasteners secured to the bottom slat protrude slightly from the respective outer surface of the first trim member secured thereto and are oriented from the top of the bottom slat to the bottom thereof.
  • the second cladding element to be fastened is placed with its foot area against the head area of the first and already fastened cladding element and pushed from below with the engagement recess open at the top into the protruding foot engagement section of the fastening element until the foot engagement section is completely inserted into the engagement recess and the head area of the second cladding element can be pushed over the top slat and fixed with the slat support leg on top of the top slat.
  • the foot engagement section of the fastening element can have a curved course and an engagement end directed to the outside or away from the substructure. In this way, the insertion of the engagement leg in the foot area of the cladding element into the foot engagement section can be facilitated. At the same time, a spring effect or a spring force acting in the direction of the substructure can be generated by the curved shape of the foot engagement section and exerted on the engagement leg or on the foot region of the cladding element.
  • the shape of the head area of the cladding element with the batten support leg extending in the direction of the substructure makes it possible in a simple manner for the head area of the cladding element to rest and be supported on the upper side of the associated slat.
  • the only thing that needs to be achieved with the fastening element is that the head region of the cladding element can no longer unintentionally become detached from the upper side of the slat.
  • the weight of the trim member is transferred to the batten via the batten support leg of the trim member, and the trim member is supported and carried directly by the batten. Consequently, the fastening element does not have to be able to absorb and dissipate any significant weight of the cladding element fixed to the slat with the fastening element.
  • each cladding element is fixed in a form-fitting manner to a slat of the substructure both with its head area and with its foot area.
  • the risk of undesired detachment of individual cladding elements from the composite of the facade or roof cladding is thus reduced to the greatest possible extent, as is the risk of undesired loosening of individual cladding elements, which could then move and rattle, for example, when the wind blows against the facade or roof cladding.
  • the fastening element is designed in such a way that the fastening element with the slat gripping section can be reliably fixed to a slat and thereby positively engage behind a rear side of the slat.
  • the fastening element fixes a head region of a first cladding element to the slat and also grips a foot region of a second cladding element in a form-fitting manner, which is arranged in a cladding element row arranged above it.
  • the foot area of the second paneling element is pressed against the head area of the first paneling element and both together in the direction of the slat.
  • the foot area of the second cladding element which is arranged above the first cladding element, overlaps the head area of the first cladding element and thereby also covers the fastening element, which is arranged in the head area of the first cladding element. Since this fastening element engages in the foot area of the second cladding element arranged above it from a rear side facing the substructure, the fastening element is not visible from an outside of the facade or roof cladding.
  • the substructure of the facade or roof cladding can be made of wood or metal, for example. It is also possible that the substructure is made of different materials.
  • the slats can also be made of either wood or metal.
  • a metallic slat can be, for example, a hollow profile or a solid profile made of aluminum or another suitable metal.
  • each cladding element is then suitably fixed with at least one fastening element on the bottom slat the fastening element is fixed by a rear side of the bottom slat on its underside and the head holding section of the fastening element encompasses the head area of the cladding element, so that the head area of the cladding element is fixed to the bottom slat.
  • a row of cladding elements arranged above this can then be arranged and fixed to a slat running above it.
  • each cladding element in the row arranged above is inserted with its engagement recess arranged in the foot area into the foot engagement section of the associated fastening element on the bottom slat and then brought up with its head area to the slat arranged above and supported with the slat support leg on the slat arranged above.
  • the row of cladding elements arranged above it can then be fixed again with fastening elements on the slat assigned to this row.
  • a further row of cladding elements arranged again above it can be fixed to a further slat arranged above it until the complete facade or roof cladding is completed.
  • a single, for example defective, cladding element to be detached from the assembly at any position within the facade or roof cladding and replaced by a newly inserted cladding element.
  • the defective cladding element after the defective cladding element has been detached, the one arranged above the relevant cladding element must be removed upper cladding element are taken in the foot area and pivoted against the restraining effect of the fastener something away from the substructure.
  • the head area of the upper paneling element, the foot area of which is gripped and pivoted remains connected to the slat arranged above it with the fastening element arranged there.
  • the slat assigned to this foot area is accessible for the cladding element to be newly inserted.
  • the head area of the cladding element to be newly inserted can then be inserted between the slightly outwardly pivoted foot area of the upper cladding element and the slat, coming from below.
  • the head area of the lining element to be newly inserted and in particular the slat support leg protruding in the direction of the slat is guided along the front side of the slat until the slat support leg grips the top of the slat and the head area of the newly inserted lining element is in the intended end position with the slat support leg on the top supporting the bar.
  • the slightly outwardly pivoted foot area of the upper cladding element can then be released again and the upper cladding element pivoted back into its original position.
  • the fastening element only has to be sufficiently elastic in the area of the foot engagement section and possibly also in the area of the head holding section or be designed to be deformable, in order to enable the pivoting away from the substructure of a paneling element which is in engagement with the fastening element in question in the foot area.
  • the required elasticity or deformability can be made possible by a suitable choice of material or by suitable shaping of the fastening element.
  • the individual cladding elements are arranged offset relative to one another in successive rows of cladding elements, it may be necessary to bend open the two cladding elements located in the row of cladding elements arranged above them and overlapping with the cladding element to be detached in order to remove a single cladding element in order to remove the cladding element to be detached in its head area to be accessible from the outside.
  • a configuration of the head area that is advantageous for the production and assembly of a cladding element provides that the slat support leg has a straight course up to an end area of the slat support leg that faces the slat. The slat support leg then rests with a front edge of the slat support leg facing the slat on the upper side of the slat.
  • the slat support leg of the cladding element has an angled end portion facing the slat and supporting end section directed towards the top of the slat with an end face facing the top of the slat is adapted to an inclination of the cladding element relative to a cladding plane that the support end portion rests flat on the top of the slat. Since the foot area of a cladding element rests externally against the head area of a cladding element arranged underneath, the foot area of the cladding element is at a greater distance from the substructure than the head area of the relevant cladding element.
  • the cladding element is therefore arranged at an angle relative to the cladding plane, which is defined by the substructure or by the outwardly directed outer sides of the slats arranged at a distance from one another.
  • the end face of the bearing end section of the slat section leg resting on the upper side of the slat is designed with a corresponding inclination, so that the end face rests over the entire surface on the upper side of the slat and the weight of the covering element lying on it the entire face is removed onto the batten.
  • the angled support end section which is directed towards the top of the slat from above, can also make it more difficult for the slat support leg to move laterally on the surface of the slat, thereby supporting the arrangement and fixing of the head region of the covering element on the associated slat.
  • the engagement recess in the foot area is formed by an engagement pocket, which is formed between an outer surface of the cladding element and an engagement leg, which is arranged parallel to the outer surface in the direction of the substructure at a distance therefrom and is aligned in the direction of the head section.
  • This engagement leg is connected to the outer surface of the trim member along a bottom edge of the trim member and extends toward the head portion.
  • a pocket-shaped recess, or the insertion pocket is formed in the foot area between the outer surface of the lining element and the engagement leg formed at a distance therefrom.
  • the access pocket is freely accessible from the head area of the covering element.
  • the cladding element In order to be able to mount the cladding element for the façade or roof cladding, the cladding element only has to be brought up to a head section of a cladding element already fixed to the substructure from below and brought up to the foot engagement section of the fastening element encompassing the head region of the already assembled cladding element such that the foot engagement section of the Fastener is pushed into the pocket.
  • the dimensions of the foot engagement section of the fastening element already attached to the substructure are expediently specified in such a way that the cladding element to be newly attached can be pushed with its slat support leg in the head area over a slat assigned to this head area if the foot engagement section of the fastening element is in the foot area of the Covering element is fully inserted into the pocket.
  • the lower edge of the cladding element can, for example, be V-shaped or arc-shaped in order to transition from the outer surface of the cladding element into the engagement leg, which is again directed in the direction of the head section. It is optionally possible for the head area of the cladding element and/or the foot area of the cladding element to have a U-shaped cross section.
  • the bearing end section angled from the slat support leg in the head area and the engaging leg of the lining element arranged in the foot area can each be aligned parallel to an outer surface of the lining element.
  • the configuration of the head area and/or the foot area, which is U-shaped in cross section can be designed either with rounded edges or with comparatively angular edge areas, depending on the desired appearance of the facade or roof cladding.
  • the individual cladding elements can have a rectangular basic shape and outer surface.
  • the cladding elements can be made of a natural material such as clay or wood.
  • the cladding elements can also be made of a material such as stoneware or ceramic or concrete. It is also conceivable that the cladding elements are made of plastic or a composite material made of different components.
