Definitions
- the present invention relates to a light module for a motor vehicle. It finds a particular but non-limiting application in additional signaling lights.
- a light module such as an additional traffic light, known to those skilled in the art, comprises at least one light source, a light source support, an open casing, a casing closing element, a connection harness electric to connect said at least one light source to an exterior connector of the motor vehicle.
- the light module is fixed by means of a screw to a casing of the motor vehicle closed by a glass and placed at the grid level of the front face of the motor vehicle. It is in particular fixed in a glass support at the level of said grid.
- a disadvantage of this state of the prior art is that due to the environmental constraints on the motor vehicle, there is little space to mount the light module on the motor vehicle. It is difficult to assemble/disassemble the light module with a screwdriver due to the presence of other parts such as the heat sink behind the light module. Access for assembly/disassembly via a screwdriver is therefore difficult.

- the present invention aims to propose a luminous device which makes it possible to solve the drawback mentioned.
- the invention proposes a luminous device whose characteristics are presented in claim 1.
- the rotational movement makes it possible to easily mount the light module on the casing of the motor vehicle and facilitates access to the light module for an operator. Furthermore, the no longer using a screwdriver avoids damaging the crystal support since there is no longer any screwing/unscrewing action on the crystal support.

- the three grooves 127 are angularly offset by 120°.
- it comprises two grooves 127.
- the two grooves 127 are angularly offset by 180°, ie they are arranged opposite one another.
- the fact of angularly offsetting the grooves 127 makes it possible to have guide zones 128 in the positioning housing 126 as illustrated in the figure 6c .
- the guide zones 128 are formed of circular arcs. They are located on the inner circumference of the collar 1260.
- an arc of a circle 128 is thus offset by 120° relative to an adjacent arc of a circle.

- the open housing 12 further comprises means 125 for centering the light source 10 with the optical element 30.
- the secondary electrical connection element 15 is illustrated in the figures 6a and 6b . As illustrated, the secondary electrical connection element 15 is connected to the open casing 12. In one non-limiting embodiment, said open casing 12 is overmolded on the secondary electrical connection element 15. According to the overmolding process, the secondary electrical connection element 15 is placed in an injection mold, then the material of the open box 12 is injected into the injection mold to obtain the part. This makes it possible to ensure tightness and to respect a precise assembly dimension.
- the secondary electrical connection element 15 is configured to cooperate with the primary electrical connection element 14. In one non-limiting embodiment, the secondary electrical connection element 15 is a male connector. Having a male connector on the open housing 12 is easier to manufacture than having a male connector on the light source holder 11.
- the assembly along an axis X perpendicular to the light source support 11, between the light source support 11 and the open box 12 is thus easy thanks to the male connector 15 and the female connector 14 seen above.
- the electrical connection between the male connector 15 and the female connector 14 during assembly between the light source support 11 and the open box 12 is thus simple to make.
- the secondary connection element 15 allows both a connection with the PCBA board via the primary connection part 150, and a connection with the external connector via the secondary connection part 151 makes it possible not to use a wiring harness.
- internal electrical connection between the light source holder 11 and the exterior connector of the motor vehicle which would cause electromagnetic compatibility problems.
- This avoids problems of electromagnetic compatibility.
- This also avoids having problems positioning the internal electrical connection harness inside the open box 12, once the open box 12, the light source support 11 and the closing element 13 are assembled together. Indeed, in the case of using such an internal electrical connection harness, it would be necessary to have a great length to be able to ensure the replacement of the light source 10.
- the primary connection part 150 forms the male connector. It comprises two pins 150a, 150b (one positive, the other negative) configured to cooperate respectively with the two pins 14a, 14b of the primary electrical connection element 14.
- the two pins 150a, 150b are integrated into the open casing 12 by overmoulding.
- the primary connection part 150 extends along a first direction AX. It is in flat contact with the open housing 12 which prevents any deformation and the pins 150a, 150b from moving.
- the secondary connection part 151 forms a male connector which is configured to plug into a formed female connector (not shown) in the exterior connector of the motor vehicle. It comprises two pins 151a, 151b (one positive, the other negative).
- the secondary connection part 151 extends along a second direction AY.
- the second direction AY makes an angle ⁇ with the first direction AX comprised between 45° and 135°. Thanks to this arrangement with an angle ⁇ , it is possible to mount the light module 1 between the second housing 3 and the body of the motor vehicle along the X axis, and to dismantle it to replace it when the light device 4 is mounted on the motor vehicle. This also makes it possible to have small dimensions, in particular in width, of the light module 1 so as to be able to integrate it easily into the space between the second casing 3 and the bodywork of the motor vehicle.
- the angle ⁇ is 90°.
- the first direction AX is perpendicular to the light source holder 11 and the second direction AY is parallel to the light source holder 11 and the second housing 3.
- Having the secondary connection part parallel to the second housing 3 makes it possible to have a connection with the external connector 5 parallel to the second housing 3.
- the dimensions of the light module 1 can thus be reduced, in particular along the X axis, and the light module 1 takes up less space than if the connection were perpendicular to the second housing 3 for example.
- the primary connection part 150 and the secondary connection part 151 are interconnected via an elbow 152 which makes it possible to achieve the angle ⁇ .
- the pin 150a of the primary connection part 150 is connected by an elbow to the pin 151a of the secondary connection part 151
- the pin 150b of the primary connection part 150 is connected by an elbow to the pin 151b of the secondary connection part 151.
- the assembly by an operator of the light module 1 on the casing 3 of the motor vehicle is carried out as follows with reference to the figures 12a to 12d .
- the second embodiment with the attachment support 310 on the optical element support 32 of the second housing 3 is taken as a non-limiting example to illustrate said assembly.
- the light module 1 is placed by the operator between the second housing 3 and the body of the motor vehicle. He turns it so that it has an angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the second casing 3. The rotation is illustrated by the arrow referenced 60 in the figure.
- the light module 1 is positioned by the operator so that the grooves 127 of the open casing 12 of the light module 1 are opposite the positioning lugs 300 of the casing 3. Then, the operator pushes the light module 1 in translation along an axis (not shown) perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the second casing 3 so that the positioning lugs 300 of the casing 3 fit into said grooves 127 of the open casing 12.
- the light module 1 is thus arranged in a first position p1.
- the light module 1 is thus pre-positioned on the second housing 3.
- the translation is illustrated by the arrow referenced 61 in the figure.
- a third step illustrated on the figure 12c the operator turns the light module 1 so that it performs a rotational movement.
- the positioning lugs 300 of the second casing 3 slide along the guide zones 128 of the open casing 12 until they come into abutment as far as the stops 128b of said guide zones 128.
- the rotation is illustrated by the arrow referenced 62 in the figure.
- the stops 128b make it possible to block the end of the rotation.
- the rotation of the light module 1 ends when the hooking lug 124 of the open box 12 meshes with the hooking support 310 of the second box 3, and clips onto said hooking support 310.
- the box open 12 is locked on the second casing 3.
- the attachment device formed by the attachment lug 124 and the attachment support 310 makes it possible to prevent inadvertent unlocking of the open casing 12 when in particular the motor vehicle is moving.
- the light module 1 is thus attached to the second housing 3.
- the light module 1 is thus arranged in a second position p2, otherwise called the mounted position.
