  • the lower lock part further comprises a weight part which is operatively connected to the second locking element and which is pivotably received in the lower lock housing such that it positions the second locking element in an upright position of the container in its locking position, and, when the container is tilted forward for emptying, it is automatically transferred into its release position, in which it is brought out of engagement with the first locking element positioned in its locking position.
  • a locking means in the form of a ball is movably received in the lower part of the lock, which locks the second locking element in its locking position in the upright position of the container.
  • the ball can be moved up and down within the lock lower part housing in an upright linear guide between an upper position and a lower position. In the lower position, the ball prevents the weight part from pivoting. In the upper position, however, it releases the pivoting movement of the weight part.

  • the locking of the lid which is effected by the first locking element and the second locking element, is also released when the container is due to the action overturns due to external forces, for example if the container is caught in a strong gust of wind or is intentionally knocked over by a person.
  • the invention creates a garbage pickup device according to claim 1.
  • a lid lock caused by the first locking element and the second locking element is only released when the container is tilted forward.
  • front the terms “front”, “rear” and “side” used in this application always relate to the container in the upright position, unless expressly stated otherwise.
  • the upper lock part housing and the lower lock part housing preferably define insertion bevels which, when the cover is transferred into its closed position, come into engagement with one another and align the first locking element and the second locking element with one another.
  • lower side surfaces of the upper lock part housing can be inclined in a V-like manner to each other and, when the cover is moved into its closed position, engage in a recess of the lower lock part housing accessible from above, the side walls of which also have a corresponding V-like inclination.
  • Such lead-in bevels are relevant The advantage is that, even if the lid of the container should warp slightly, the lid can still be locked properly without any problems.
  • the upper lock housing is composed of an outer housing part protruding outward from the cover and an inner housing part protruding inward from the cover, the locking mechanism being arranged on the outer housing part and the first locking element including its pivot axis being arranged on the inner housing part.
  • the outer housing part there is preferably provided a bolt which can pivot about a pivot axis by actuating the locking mechanism and which cooperates with an actuating section of the first locking element arranged on the inner housing part protruding upward into the outer housing part.
  • the first locking element is thus not actuated directly via the locking mechanism but indirectly via the bolt. In this way, a very stable construction of the lock device is achieved.
  • the first locking means is provided in the form of a ball, which is guided in a guide between an upper position and a lower position and can be moved up and down within the lock lower part housing and locks the pivoting movement of the weight part in its lower position and in releases their upper position.
  • the guide surface of the guide of the first locking means is preferably provided on the rear with an obstacle which is designed such that it prevents or at least makes it more difficult for the first locking means to move from the lower position into the upper position when the container is tilted backwards from the upright position into a lying position.
  • an obstacle can be formed, for example, by a rib protruding from the actual guide surface, which prevents the ball from moving into the upper position when the container is tilted backwards.
  • the second locking means is provided in the form of a ball which, within the lower part of the lock housing, moves in a substantially T-shaped guide with a substantially upright guide area and two guide areas that branch off at the lower end from this on both sides and extend substantially to the side can be moved in a guided manner, the ball only releasing the pivoting movement of the weight part when it is positioned at the upper end of the guide region, which extends essentially upright.
  • Accidental opening in the event of the container tipping sideways is accordingly reliably prevented.
  • the guide areas extending essentially to the side are preferably bent upwards in the manner of an anchor, which ensures that the locking mechanism functions even better in the event that the container is tilted sideways.
  • Two second locking means in the form of balls guided in the T-shaped guide are advantageously provided. It has been found that there is a single ball within the T-shaped guide in the event of a hard impact can jump in an uncontrolled manner after the container has been tilted sideways, that is to say also into the guide area which extends essentially upright, which would result in the cover locking being canceled. The second ball safely prevents such uncontrolled jumping.
  • the first locking element is biased by a spring element in the direction of its locking position in such a way that the first locking element is transferred from the locking position to the unlocking position by actuating the locking mechanism against the spring force of the spring element.
  • a third locking means is preferably movably accommodated in the upper lock part housing, in particular in the inner housing part, which is arranged and designed such that it is the first locking element when the container is tilted from the upright position in the locking pivoting direction to the side into a lying position in which Locked position locked. It has been found that the spring element can collapse and pivot away in an uncontrolled manner if the container hits the ground after tilting sideways in the locking pivoting direction. In such a case, the third locking means reliably prevents uncontrolled opening of the cover.
  • the third locking means is preferably provided in the form of a ball, which can be moved between a lower position and an upper position in a laterally extending guide within the upper lock part housing, in particular within the inner housing part, and the first locking element in the upper position in its locking position locked, the ball in particular with the aforementioned Part by weight cooperates.
