Definitions

  • the invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock, with a locking mechanism consisting essentially of a rotary latch and a pawl, further with a pawl spring for loading the pawl in the closing direction, and with an actuating lever for opening the locking mechanism.
  • a motor vehicle door lock of the structure described above is for example in DE 10 2008 039 240 A1 the applicant explained in detail.
  • a so-called two-ratchet mechanism is implemented.
  • a release lever interacts during its movement with a driving pin of the first pawl.
  • the lateral pawl spring forms an abutment between the driving pin and the release lever during interaction.
  • the pawl spring is received in a receptacle of the first pawl.
  • a further second pawl is then implemented, which essentially ensures that the first pawl is secured.
  • EP2 860 335 A2 a motor vehicle lock according to the preamble of claim 1 is disclosed.
  • the procedure for motor vehicle door locks is such that the rotary latch and, if necessary, the pawl are each pretensioned with an associated spring, the rotary latch spring and the pawl spring, so that both the rotary latch and the pawl are safely returned to their normal position.
  • the pawl spring serves to act on the pawl so that the pawl is acted upon in the closing direction.
  • the closing direction of the pawl corresponds to the fact that it can block the catch.
  • the ratchet spring on the ratchet typically operates to move the ratchet to its open position when disengaged from the pawl. This is generally ensured by a release lever which lifts the pawl from its engagement with the catch. The release lever is in turn generally acted upon by the operating lever to open the locking mechanism. It is also possible that the release lever and the actuating lever coincide or form and define a continuously one-piece lever.
  • the actuating lever can be acted upon manually to open the locking mechanism and, in this context, pivot the release lever in such a way that it lifts the pawl out of its engagement with the rotary latch.
  • the actuating lever can also be controlled by an electric motor, as is the case with so-called “electrical opening” or generally with an electric lock.
  • the actuating lever via the release lever again ensures that the pawl is lifted off the rotary latch, so that the rotary latch can then open with the aid of a spring. A previously caught locking bolt is released.
  • the motor vehicle door or motor vehicle hatch equipped with the motor vehicle door lock in question is the same applies to the motor vehicle door or motor vehicle hatch equipped with the motor vehicle door lock in question.
  • the pawl spring acting on the pawl in the closing direction can also ensure that the pawl is moved back and an additional bouncing noise, for example generated when hitting a pre-locking recess of the rotary latch. In other words, in this case the pawl was not lifted off the catch quickly enough and the pawl spring is also responsible for the double clicking noise.
  • the invention is based on the technical problem of further developing a motor vehicle door lock of the structure described at the outset and the form presented at the outset in such a way that an acoustically optimized solution is observed and, in particular, the "double click noise" observed in the prior art is eliminated.
  • a generic motor vehicle door lock within the scope of the invention is characterized in that the actuating lever for opening the locking mechanism is also set up to act on the pawl spring and has a projection that interacts with the pawl spring.
  • the projection on the actuating lever does not act on the pawl spring until the pawl has been lifted from its engagement with the catch.
  • the actuating lever first of all ensures, as usual via the release lever, that the pawl is lifted from its engagement with the rotary latch.
  • the additional projection provided on the actuating lever ensures that in Connection hereto the pawl spring is acted upon. This means that the pawl spring is lifted off the pawl with the help of the projection on the actuating lever.
  • the actuating lever with its projection acts on the pawl spring and lifts it off the pawl after the pawl has been lifted from its engagement with the rotary latch, the pawl is not (or no longer) subjected to a force in the closing direction, at least for a short time. As a result, for example, it cannot (any longer) bounce back into the pre-locking recess of the rotary latch moving in the opening direction, so that another clicking noise is avoided according to the invention.
  • the pawl spring can be placed back on the pawl at the latest when the actuating lever is in the basic position and pressurize them in the closing direction.
  • the pawl is only temporarily free from the pawl spring within the scope of the invention, namely when there is a risk of the pawl rebounding in the direction of the pre-locking recess of the rotary latch moving along the pawl during the opening process.
  • the pawl creates anyway on its outer circumference and remains in this position until the locking mechanism is closed again. This is ensured by the pawl spring, which then again acts on the pawl in the closing direction. This is where the main advantages can be seen.
  • the pawl spring is usually designed as a torsion spring.
  • the pawl spring generally has two legs.
  • One leg of the pawl spring is designed as a pawl arm and the other leg of the pawl spring is designed as a fastening arm.
  • the mounting arm typically secures the pawl spring as a whole.
  • the fastening arm is generally fixed to a housing of the motor vehicle door lock.
  • the pawl arm of the torsion spring generally rests against the pawl, mostly on its outer circumference, and overall ensures that the pawl is acted upon in the closing direction.
  • the projection on the actuating lever acts on the pawl spring, the projection ensures that the pawl arm of the pawl spring is lifted from its abutment on the outer circumference of the pawl.
  • the projection on the actuating lever is aligned and oriented essentially perpendicularly with respect to an actuating lever plane.
  • a projection can easily be formed on the actuating lever in the course of its manufacturing process.
  • there is also the possibility of subsequently realizing and converting the projection for example by using a screw inserted in the actuating lever as such a projection.
  • the actuating lever can be both an external actuating lever and an internal actuating lever.
  • the actuating lever is designed as an external actuating lever.
  • the design is often such that the actuating lever or external actuating lever acts on the locking mechanism with the previously mentioned release lever being interposed.
  • the invention also includes embodiments in which the actuating lever and the release lever are designed in one piece or as a common lever.
  • the actuating lever can be pivoted essentially parallel to a locking plane.
  • the design is typically such that the actuating lever at least partially covers the pawl spring.
  • the projection aligned perpendicular to the plane of the actuating lever can interact particularly simply and intuitively with the pawl arm of the torsion spring and lift the pawl arm from its contact with the outer circumference of the pawl, as has already been described.
  • a motor vehicle door lock is made available which is acoustically optimized while at the same time taking into account a structurally simple and cost-effective design.
  • the solution according to the invention can be realized and implemented both for an internal actuating lever chain and for an external actuating lever chain and for both lever chains.
  • the invention can in principle also be used in connection with an electric lock, ie in the event that the actuating lever is acted upon with the aid of an electric drive to open the locking mechanism.
  • the actuating lever not only ensures that the locking mechanism is opened. Rather, the actuating lever takes on an additional dual function in such a way that it acts on the Pawl spring is set up.
  • the control lever is equipped with the projection which interacts with the ratchet spring. The actuating lever with its projection ensures that the pawl spring is lifted off the pawl, specifically when the pawl itself has left its engagement position with the catch. In this way, the "double click noise" often observed in practice is effectively prevented and no longer occurs according to the invention. This is where the main advantages can be seen.
  • a motor vehicle door lock is shown.
  • the motor vehicle door lock has a locking mechanism 1 , 2 consisting of a rotary latch 1 and a pawl 2 .
  • the rotary latch 1 can be pivoted about an axis 3 .
  • the pawl 2 can also be pivoted about an axis 4 .
  • Both axes 3, 4 are provided and defined by respective bearing bolts anchored in a lock case 5 indicated for rotatable mounting.
  • the lock case 5 is closed and covered against environmental influences with the aid of a lock cover, not shown.
  • the basic structure also includes a release lever 6, which is mounted on the same axis as the pawl 2.
  • the release lever 6 interacts with the pawl 2 via a bevel 7.
  • an actuation lever 8 is realized, which in the exemplary embodiment, and not restrictively, is designed as an external actuation lever.
  • the actuating lever 8 can be pivoted about an axis 9 which in turn is made available and defined by a bearing bolt fixed in the lock case 5 .
  • the rotary latch 1 is equipped with a rotary latch spring that is not explicitly shown.
  • the rotary latch spring ensures that the rotary latch 1 pivots open about its axis 3 after lifting the pawl 2 in the counterclockwise direction indicated by an arrow in the single figure and releases a previously caught locking bolt.
  • it is necessary to act on the actuating lever 8 in such a way that it performs a clockwise movement about its axis 9, which is also indicated in the single figure.
  • actuating lever 8 in the exemplary embodiment is an external actuating lever
  • this clockwise movement of the actuating lever 8 is initiated by an external door handle 10 working on the actuating lever 8 in question or the external actuating lever in a corresponding manner, as is only indicated in the single figure .
  • the clockwise movement of the actuating lever 8 or the external actuating lever has the result that a chamfer 11 on the actuating lever 8 comes into engagement with the release lever 6 .
  • the release lever 6 is pivoted about its axis 4 in the counterclockwise direction indicated. Since the release lever 6 can work with its projection 7 on the pawl 2 or interacts with it, the pawl 2, which is mounted coaxially with the release lever 6 about the common axis 4, is also pivoted counterclockwise.
  • the pawl 2 is released from an indicated main position on the catch 1 .
  • the rotary latch 1 then opens with the aid of a spring and, as described, moves counterclockwise about its axis 3 and, in the fully opened state, releases a locking bolt that was previously caught and not expressly shown. Since the motor vehicle door lock is mounted inside or on a motor vehicle door or hatch, while the locking bolt, not shown, is usually mounted on the bodywork an associated motor vehicle door or flap can then be opened.
  • the pawl spring 13 is designed as a torsion spring in the exemplary embodiment.
  • the ratchet spring or leg spring 13 is composed of a latch arm 13a as one leg and a fastening arm 13b as the other leg. Both legs 13a, 13b are connected to a coiled spring section 13c, which ensures that the pawl spring 13 is fixed to the lock case 5 as a whole.
  • the two legs 13a, 13b of the leg spring or the pawl arm 13a and the fastening arm 13b as a whole enclose an acute angle between them, which is in no way limiting.
  • the fastening arm 13b typically and additionally or alternatively ensures that the torsion spring or the pawl spring 13 is fixed to the lock case 5.
  • the pawl spring 13 ensures that the pawl 2 is acted upon in the closing direction.
  • the closing direction corresponds to a clockwise movement of the pawl 2 about its axis 4, in such a way that the pawl 2 either falls into the indicated main latching recess or the additional preliminary latching recess of the rotary latch 1 and can also occur.
  • the clockwise opening movement of the actuating lever 8 about the axis 9 ensures that the fold 11 first acts on the release lever 6 and as a result the pawl 2 is lifted from its engagement with the rotary latch 3 .
  • the projection 12 additionally provided and realized on the actuating lever 8 comes into engagement with the pawl arm 13a of the torsion spring or pawl spring 13.
  • a continued movement of the actuating lever 8 clockwise about the axis 9 now has the result that the projection 12 on the actuating lever 8 lifts the pawl arm 13a of the torsion spring or pawl spring 13 from its contact with the outer circumference of the pawl 2. This prevents the pawl 2 from bouncing back against the rotary latch 1 during the opening process initiated by its lifting off the rotary latch 1 .
  • the projection 12 is aligned essentially perpendicular to an actuating lever plane.
  • the level of the actuating lever is defined by the surface area of the actuating lever 8 in the example and in the present case largely coincides with the plane of the drawing.
  • the design is such that the actuating lever 8 is designed to be pivotable essentially parallel to a locking plane.
  • the ratchet level spanned by the ratchet 1, 2 also coincides with the plane of the drawing or is aligned and oriented parallel thereto.
  • the actuating lever 8 Since the actuating lever 8 at least partially covers the pawl spring 13 , any malfunctions are avoided and the pawl spring 13 is arranged in a protected manner inside the lock case 5 . As soon as the actuating lever 8 has completed the opening process of the locking mechanism 1, 2 and has moved against a stop, not shown in detail, for this purpose, the actuating lever 8 returns, usually with spring support, to its initial position shown in the single figure.
