Claims (8)

  1. Motor vehicle door latch, comprising a locking mechanism (1, 2) substantially consisting of a catch (1) and pawl (2), further comprising a pawl spring (13) for acting on the pawl (2) in the closing direction, and comprising an operation lever (8) for opening the locking mechanism (1, 2), the operation lever (8) additionally being designed to act on the pawl spring (13) and being equipped with a projection (12) which interacts with the pawl spring (13), characterized in that the projection (12) acts on the pawl spring (13) only when the pawl (2) is lifted from its engagement with the catch (1).
  2. Motor vehicle door latch according to claim 1, characterized in that the pawl spring (13) is designed as a leg spring.
  3. Motor vehicle door latch according to claim 2, characterized in that one leg of the leg spring is designed as a latch arm (13a) and the other leg of the leg spring is designed as a fastening arm (13b).
  4. Motor vehicle door latch according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the projection (12) is oriented substantially perpendicularly with respect to an operation lever plane.
  5. Motor vehicle door latch according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the operation lever (8) is designed as an outer operation lever/inner operation lever.
  6. Motor vehicle door latch according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the operation lever (8) acts on the locking mechanism (1, 2) with the interposition of a release lever (6).
  7. Motor vehicle door latch according to any of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the operation lever (8) is designed to be pivotable substantially in parallel with a locking mechanism plane.
  8. Motor vehicle door latch according to any of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the operation lever (8) at least partially covers the pawl spring (13).
