Definitions

  • the invention is in the technical field of packaging technology. Specifically, the invention relates to a container for storing a granular or powdery substance, the contents of which can be removed in portions from a consumer.
  • Powdery substances especially foods such as milk powder or coffee powder, are often packaged in cans and can thus be purchased by a consumer.
  • the consumer typically does not use all the contents of the container at once, but only needs a (small) portion of the contents of the container, for example, to prepare a portion of baby food or a cup or pot of coffee.
  • a fixed amount e.g., the volume of a spoon
  • a set portion size e.g., a bottle of baby formula
  • Portioners e.g., a spoon
  • the degree of filling varies between undercooked scoops and overcooked scoopers, the latter, for example, when a spoon used is frequently filled. If the portioned amount deviates from the intended quantity, there is often an unsatisfactory result of the preparation.
  • the use of external aids is undesirable because of the lack of practical handling.
  • a scraper edge is designed as part of the lid, for which typically an additional element which is perpendicular to the container longitudinal axis, is arranged on the lid.
  • the additional arrangement of such an element is structurally complex, correspondingly expensive and the element can be easily broken off by a consumer.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a container for pulverulent substances, by means of which a repeatable portioning process of the pulverulent substance with a portioning device is made possible and which is of simple construction and of low cost.
  • the object is achieved by a container according to claim 1 and claim 16, a use according to claim 34 and by a method according to claim 35.
  • a container or can comprises a container wall, a container opening and a lid, the lid closing the container opening.
  • the lid comprises a first lid portion and a second lid portion.
  • the first lid portion is connected to the container wall.
  • the lid is positively or non-positively connected to the container wall.
  • Cover portion closes the second lid portion of the container opening and in an unfolded or folded-up position of the second lid portion is the
  • Container opening open to the environment of the container.
  • Cover portion can be brought by pivoting about the hinge axis in the two positions.
  • the first lid portion includes a wiping edge.
  • the wiper edge is formed parallel to the hinge axis and spaced less than 50 mm from the hinge axis.
  • the parallelism does not relate to a perfect mathematical parallelism, but allows a deviation from a perfect parallelism of up to 45 °, preferably up to 30 °, more preferably up to 15 °, more preferably up to 10 °.
  • the joint can be designed as a film hinge.
  • a wiper edge is an edge at which a consumer can wipe an open portioner, such as a spoon with heaped (over-portioned) load, to reach the intended fill level of the opened portioner.
  • the wiping edge can be rectilinear, wherein the straightness is not to be understood as an ideal (mathematical) straightness, but in the field of packaging technology usual manufacturing tolerances are allowed and also one or more arcuate portions of the wiper are allowed.
  • the wiping edge may have a length of at least 20 mm, preferably at least 30 mm, more preferably at least 40 mm.
  • the scraping edge may have a length of not more than 150 mm, preferably not more than 100 mm. Most preferably, the wiping edge has a length between 20 mm and 100 mm.
  • the first and the second lid portion may have a round or oval cross-section. Also, the first or the second lid portion may have a round or oval cross-section. In this case, the cross section may relate to a geometry of the surface in a plane perpendicular to the container longitudinal axis.
  • the wiping edge is located on a chord of the first lid portion.
  • the first lid portion may comprise a sealing element.
  • the sealing element In the closed state of the second lid portion, for example, in the folded-down position of the second lid portion, the sealing element can rest against the first and second lid portion.
  • the sealing element comprises an elastomeric material, especially a (polymeric) elastomer.
  • the container may have a metallic container wall.
  • the first and / or the second lid portion may be made of plastic or comprise a plastic.
  • the plastic of the first and / or second lid portion may be a compostable plastic.
  • the container wall made of metal (sheet metal) and the first and second cover portion made of plastic.
  • the second lid portion comprises a holder for a scoop, in particular for a cutlery (for example for a spoon).
  • the holder is preferably arranged on the side of the second lid section, which in the
  • the portioning device in particular the cutlery, can be arranged in the holder of the second lid section. Specifically, a spoon is disposed in the holder of the second lid portion.
  • two spaces may be present, which are separated from each other.
  • the rooms can be separated by a membrane or foil against each other.
  • the membrane or film is connected to the inside of the container wall.
  • the foil or membrane may be aluminum or include aluminum.
  • the film or membrane may be sealed to the inside of the container wall.
  • the film or membrane is connected to the inside of the container wall so that only a very small (not completely avoidable)
  • the scoop in particular the cutlery (eg spoon) can be arranged in the space which is closer to the lid.
  • the scoop, in particular the cutlery (eg spoon) be arranged in the space which is closest to the lid.
  • the scoop can be arranged in the holder of the second lid portion when the container opening is closed by the lid, or the scoop can be inserted into a space of the container (unpaved). In both cases, the scoop is arranged in a space (of two or more rooms) at least in sections.
  • a product is stored in the space of the two rooms, which is not closest to the lid.
  • the contents of the container may be a granular material.

  • the second space may have a larger volume than the first space.
  • the second space may have a volume of at least 50 mL, preferably at least 100 mL, more preferably at least 200 mL.
  • the support structure may be arranged and / or formed such that a portion of a force acting on the membrane or foil in the direction of the lid, through the
  • Support structure can be forwarded to the lid.
  • the forwarded force can be absorbed by the connection of the lid to the container wall.

  • the support structure can be configured and arranged in the first space, that the acting force is deflected so that in the connecting region of the film or Membrane with the inside of the container wall a larger shear force proportion acts compared to a container without the support structure.
  • Bonding or sealing can absorb shear forces much better than peeling forces, with a shearing force acting parallel to the bond and a peel force perpendicular to the bond or seal.
  • Increasing the shear force component of the total force acting on the connection region (bonding or sealing) and thus reducing the peel force component makes it possible to increase the load-bearing capacity of the connection between the membrane or foil and the inside of the container wall or to achieve improved safety of the connection with constant total force.
