Definitions

  • the invention relates to body furniture according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • carcass furniture is understood to mean a piece of furniture which has at least one furniture carcass or a plurality of furniture carcasses.
  • the furniture fronts usually have to be opened to make the interior of the body of furniture accessible.
  • the furniture fronts can be parts of pull-outs, drawers or cupboards.
  • furniture fronts can have handles for opening; alternatively, such body furniture can also operate with handle-less variants.
  • an access opening is usually provided next to the narrow side of a furniture front, behind which a privacy profile is arranged that obscures the further view into the interior of the furniture.
  • This privacy profile is usually a C-profile or U-profile, usually made of plastic or metal, so that when viewed from the outside you can see a flat surface behind the access opening.
  • EP 1 980 176 A1 a C-shaped privacy profile, the back of which is covered with a panel.
  • This panel is held in place by arranging a protruding holding element on the upper part of the profile, behind which the panel is held, and a strip is arranged at the lower end in such a way that it clamps the panel at the lower end.
  • a flat surface can be seen behind the procedure.
  • the CN 203 646 770 U discloses an L-shaped privacy profile that is rounded at the angle on the one hand and, on the other hand, contains a recess in which an LED strip is arranged.
  • the recess is covered by an opaque material that prevents direct radiation from the LED. With this lighting, the access opening is illuminated indirectly.
  • On the side of the long L-arm facing the interior there is also a groove in which another LED strip can be arranged, which is also covered with an opaque material. This lighting is intended to illuminate the interior of the body.
  • the object of the present invention is to create a body piece of furniture of the type mentioned, which offers new design options in the area of the handle bar.
  • the body furniture according to the invention has at least one front part which closes access to an interior area of the body furniture and is movably mounted relative to the body of the body furniture.
  • the furniture includes, in particular, load-bearing inner walls or side walls or at least one side cheek that are arranged vertically to the floor.
  • the engagement opening serves to reach behind the at least one front part via one of its narrow sides with the hand of an operator and to make the front part accessible to the interior area covered by the front part by moving the front part.
  • a profile is arranged behind the engagement opening in such a way that it obscures the view into the interior of the body furniture through the engagement opening.
  • This profile is formed from two parts connected to one another or formed in one piece and, according to the invention, has a first part and a second part connected to it or formed in one piece.
  • the first part includes a first visible surface that is visible through the engagement opening.
  • the second part has a second visible surface that is visible through the engagement opening.
  • the two visible surfaces are arranged relative to one another in such a way that a shadow gap is formed between them.
  • the profile according to the invention gives the body furniture a completely new visual impression in the area of the handle strip. By creating a shadow gap in this area, the handle strip area is given additional visual depth, which has a lasting impact on the overall impression of the body furniture.
  • both visible surfaces are angled towards one another.
  • a special optical depth can be created in the profile.
  • the visible surfaces run obliquely, starting from the longitudinal edge of the profile, towards the center of the profile and obliquely towards the back of the body furniture. The greatest depth is achieved in the middle of the profile The viewer's gaze is guided by the oblique guidance of the visible surfaces into this deeper area in the direction of the shadow gap formed there.
  • one visible surface has an, in particular free, end section.
  • This end section is designed so that its free narrow side faces the other visible surface.
  • the narrow side of one visible surface runs towards the other visible surface and in this way forms the shadow gap.
  • At least one of the visible surfaces is flat or has at least one flat area.
  • the shape of the visible surfaces is preferably adapted to the shape of the rest of the design of the body furniture.
  • the shadow gap can also be illuminated according to a special embodiment of the present invention. This is preferably done from behind, meaning that the light source cannot be seen by the viewer from the outside.
  • a lighting device in particular an LED lighting means, is arranged in a rear area of a visible surface opposite the engagement opening is.
  • other lighting means can also be used. This lighting device therefore ensures subtle but indirect illumination of the shadow gap, which is perceived by the viewer from the outside as a strip of light.
  • a further preferred embodiment provides that one visible surface, viewed through the engagement opening, partially covers the view of the other visible surface.
  • the invisible part of one visible surface can be illuminated by the previously described lighting device, so that the light generated thereby is reflected in this area from the hidden part of the visible surface into the joint between the two visible surfaces.
  • the partial covering also means that it is practically impossible for the viewer from the outside to see through the shadow gap into the interior of the body furniture.
  • the possible uses of the profile according to the invention are diverse; they can be processed in different places on the body of the furniture.
  • parts of the profile can be used, for example, to form a stop for a furniture front.
  • the first part of the profile has a first profile leg which delimits the profile on one side.
  • This profile leg is preferably arranged perpendicular to the closed furniture front and can therefore serve as a lateral boundary of the profile according to the invention and at this point be designed as an extension of a partition wall or side wall.
  • the second part of the profile has a second profile leg that delimits the profile on one side.
  • the profile legs mentioned can also serve to form a stop for the front part.
  • it can preferably be provided that at least one profile leg has a stop profile against which a front part rests or can rest.
  • a stop profile is preferably formed in the manner of a rubber lip or rubber seal or in any case made of a damping material, so that when the furniture front is closed, it is protected on the one hand and, on the other hand, unnecessary noise development when closing is avoided.
  • the profile is arranged below an upper body part, in particular a top side, preferably a worktop, and with its main longitudinal extension direction parallel to the Bottom or to the top of the body furniture runs.
  • the profile can be attached in different ways.
  • a preferred variant is that the inner wall or inner walls of the body furniture has/have a recess in which the profile is accommodated and is supported.
  • the profile can, for example, simply be placed on the body.
  • the body furniture has two spaced-apart inner walls between which the profile is inserted.
  • These inner walls can also be the respective outer walls of two furniture bodies placed next to each other.
  • the profile is preferably arranged at least partially between these two inner walls and is also preferably fastened at this point - at least in a form-fitting manner.
  • the profile is inserted into a space between an inner wall and a side wall of the body furniture.
  • the profile according to the invention is therefore also suitable for body furniture with handle strips in the area of the side panel.
  • the profile runs with its main longitudinal direction perpendicular to the top of the body furniture.
  • FIG. 1A an embodiment is shown using the example of a kitchen furniture 1.
  • a worktop on top 4.
  • the front of the body furniture is closed towards the interior with a front part 2.
  • An engagement opening 5 is shown between the worktop 4 and the front part 2, the part of which facing the interior of the furniture is covered by a profile.
  • this profile 60 rests on a corresponding recess 31 in the inner wall 30.
  • the profile 60 there is designed as a multi-part profile. It includes a first part 60a and a second part 60b.
  • the two parts 60a, 60b are connected to each other, this can be done by a detachable or permanent connection.
  • the two parts can also be designed in one piece. This also applies to all exemplary embodiments to be discussed in this description.
  • the second part 60b has horizontally extending webs 66, 67 in the drawing, which form a snap connection with corresponding locking projections 64, 65 on the other part 60a.
  • this connection does not have to be designed in the manner of a snap connection. Any other type of connection is also conceivable.
  • a visible surface 61 is arranged on the front of the profile 60a, which is visible to the viewer who is viewing the furniture 1 viewed through the engagement opening 5, is visible.
  • the visible surface 61 has a free end 62, whose narrow side faces the visible surface 63 of the other part 60b.
  • a joint 7 is formed between the free end 62 and the visible surface 63, which is perceived from the outside as a shadow gap when there is no lighting in the interior of the furniture 1.
  • An engagement space is formed between the profile 60 and the engagement opening 5 and is designed for a user's hand to reach into.
  • the front 2 is also designed with a gripping section 21 on its narrow side area facing the engagement opening, which the user can grip in order to be able to open the front - be it a pull-out or a flap.
  • the two visible surfaces 61 and 63 preferably run at an angle to one another and slope obliquely towards the rear area of the body furniture. In this way, the viewer's line of sight is directed towards the joint 7.
  • an area 8 can be provided, surrounded here by the walls 67, 68 and 69 and covered on the visible side by the end 62.
  • a lighting device can be accommodated at a suitable location, which then illuminates the joint 7 from behind.
  • the lighting means can, for example (but not exclusively) be provided in the form of an LED strip, which is advantageously attached to one of the walls 67, 68 or 69 mentioned.
  • FIG. 1C and 1D An alternative body furniture is shown.
  • the top side designed as a worktop
  • an upper body part 4 which can also have compartments, for example, and which is advantageously closed with a front 2.
  • all features relating to the profile 60 are the same as above, except that the inner wall 3 shown here extends over the entire height of the body furniture and the profile 60 is embedded in a corresponding recess 31 or rests on it.
  • the embodiment according to the invention shown relates in particular to body furniture with a plurality of inner walls 3.
  • the profile 60 according to the invention is inserted into the joint area between two inner walls 3 and thus prevents the area between the two inner walls 3 from being visible.
  • the two parts 60a and 60b which have the visible surfaces already described above in connection with the first embodiment.
  • a first visible surface 61 has a free end 62, which points with its narrow side in the direction of the visible surface 63 of the other profile part 60b.
  • the two profile parts are joined together via positive locking elements 64 and 66 and inserted between the inner walls 3.
  • the attachment can be done in different ways, for example the profile parts can be glued or screwed to the inner walls.
  • legs are provided which, on the one hand, prevent the view into the interior of the body parts adjoining the profile 60, but on the other hand also form a stop for the furniture fronts 2 on both sides of the engagement opening 5.
  • corresponding stop profiles 9 are preferably provided at the free end of the legs, which in the example shown have an O-shaped lip in cross section.
  • the profiles 9 are preferably elastic profiles made of rubber or a plastic.
  • the embodiment shown of the profile 60 according to the invention is therefore particularly suitable for use in the connection area between two furniture bodies or two interior walls.
  • the visible surfaces 61 and 63 are set obliquely to one another and converge towards the center of the profile, whereby, as seen from the front, they run obliquely backwards into the interior of the furniture, starting from the two profile legs. In this way, the shadow gap 7 is moved backwards and an additional depth effect is created by the visible surfaces 61 and 63 running obliquely backwards.
  • a lighting device can also be arranged here in the area 8 behind the visible surface 61. Please refer to the above statements accordingly.
  • a profile 60 according to the invention can also be used in the edge area of body furniture and also achieves a depth effect there.
  • the profile 60 according to the invention is arranged in the area between an inner wall 3 and an outer side cheek 17.
  • the two profile parts 60a and 60b are joined together via joining surfaces 64 and 66.
  • joining surfaces 64 and 66 For the individual fastening options, reference is also made to the above embodiments.
  • the profile part 60a has a leg which can be provided with a corresponding stop profile 9 in the manner already described.
