Definitions

  • the invention relates to a painting cup storage system for storing at least one painting cup which is at least partially filled with paint, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • paints or paints are used for spray guns which, after they have been mixed according to the respective color of the motor vehicle to be painted, are generally not completely used up.
  • varnishes or paints are relatively expensive and also for environmental reasons, it is desirable to store the remainder of the varnish or paint so that they can be used again for painting.
  • a paint cup storage system is used in the generic US 2005/0076832 A1 described.
  • Fig. 3 a cup rack for storing color cups is shown.
  • the color cups stored in the cup rack are empty and are taken from the cup rack to be filled with color.
  • the paint cups stored in the cup rack are not intended for use in a spray gun, but in a stationary painting machine.
  • U1 Tubular dispensers are provided for stacked components of paint cups, namely for cup containers, stacked bottom first, for cup lids, for standard gravity cups open at the top and for round flax sieves. The cup containers are therefore stacked there with the bottom first in the dispensers.
  • U.S. 9,155,385B2 discloses a display device configured to be attached to a structure, such as, e.g. B. a wall, can be coupled.
  • the display device comprises a display module with a base plate.
  • the display module includes a series of containers that extend from the base plate and are configured to receive aerosol cans.
  • the object of the invention then consists in creating a painting cup storage system for storing at least one painting cup which is at least partially filled with paint and which is as inexpensive and environmentally friendly as possible.
  • the invention is based on the idea that the paint or varnish, which is still in the paint cup as unused residue, for example, is stored together with the paint cup in a paint cup shelf in a storage position in which a tubular outlet port of the lid downwards has, with which the paint cup can be non-destructively releasably fastened in the spray gun.
  • a paint cup which is usually used for detachable attachment to spray guns, has a cup-shaped base body which can be closed by a cover with the outlet having a central opening, for example in the form of a tubular outlet, the outlet of the cover being designed to be inserted into a receiving opening of the spray gun and to allow a paint or paint received in the paint cup to flow through the central opening of the outlet into the spray gun.
  • the outlet When the paint cup is in a position of use on the spray gun, the outlet consequently points downwards, i.e. towards the floor or in the direction of gravity.
  • a sieve is usually also held, through which the lacquer or paint must pass in order to be able to flow from the cup-shaped base body into the outlet and from there into the spray gun.
  • the paint cup can then be stored as a consumable container in the paint cup shelf essentially in its position of use, namely with the outlet of the lid pointing downwards (essentially in the direction of gravity), whereby the rest of the paint or varnish continues to wet the screen and on the screen Adhering paint cannot dry out as a result.
  • a closure means for example a screwed-on cap, so that the rest of the paint or varnish cannot leak out of the paint cup.
  • a paint cup in the context of the invention is to be understood as any cup which is able to take up a paint or a paint and which, in particular, is non-destructive on a spray gun can be releasably attached in order to introduce the paint or the paint into the spray gun and can be detached again from the spray gun in a non-destructive manner.
  • the invention therefore offers the advantage that, after use, the paint cups, together with the rest of paint or varnish they contain, are stored in the paint cup shelf on the receptacle of the shelf or shelves in the storage position in which the outlet of the lid points downwards and then it is ensured that the at least one painting cup with the rest of the paint or varnish can easily be reused for a further painting process, which has a favorable effect on costs and the environmental balance.
  • the adaptation of the at least one receptacle to such a painting cup can be implemented in that the at least one receptacle is designed as a round bore in the at least one shelf.
  • the inner diameter of the round bore can essentially correspond to the outer diameter of the cylindrical annular surface section of the lid, in such a way that the painting cup with the cylindrical annular surface section of the lid can be inserted into the round bore until the radially protruding collar of the lid contacts a bore edge of the bore of the shelf and the painting cup is then held in a form-fitting manner in the bore in the storage layer.
  • the at least one painting cup with the circumferential collar of the lid then rests on the edge of the bore of the round bore.
  • This preferred form-fitting receptacle of the painting cup in the round bore can represent the only form-fitting receptacle or also an additional form-fitting receptacle, as will be explained later.
  • a preferred embodiment of the invention adapts the receptacle on the shelf to the existing geometry of conventional paint cups in order to be able to hold the paint cup on the receptacle in the storage position without having to make changes to the paint cup.
  • round bores can be produced very cheaply in a shelf.
  • At least one holding element can be arranged on, in or under the at least one shelf, by means of which the painting cup can be held in the storage position.
  • the inner contour of the at least one holding element can be adapted to the outer contour of the at least one painting cup.
  • the at least one holding element comprises a ring which is arranged on, in or under the at least one shelf and has an inner diameter such that the painting cup is at least partially inserted (from above) into the ring and thereby the storage position can take.
  • the ring can have an inner diameter which corresponds to an outer diameter of the plurality of outer diameters which the conical outer surface section of the cover has as viewed in the direction of the central axis.
  • the ring can also have a complementary conical or conical shape at its edge in relation to the conical outer surface section of the cover in order to ensure a tilt-proof positive fit between the conical outer surface section of the cover and the ring or the shelf.
  • the painting cup is then held on the shelf, for example, exclusively via the conical outer surface section of the lid that interacts with the ring.
  • the form-fitting receptacle of the painting cup already described above could also be provided in the round bore via the cylindrical annular surface section and the radially protruding collar of the lid.
  • the painting cup shelf is particularly preferably designed as a standing or column shelf, with several shelves carried by a central column, the are arranged in tiers one above the other, with the central column protruding vertically upwards from a support frame.
  • the support frame then forms, in particular, a foot part of the free-standing or column shelf.
  • the shelves are accessible from all sides in order to store or remove paint cups on or in the shelves.
  • the multiple shelves can also be used for an order principle, according to which, for example, on or in a certain shelf, paint beakers containing paints or lacquers with a certain basic color (e.g. red, green, blue) or paint beakers containing paints or lacquers for a specific application are stored, for example, shades of color such as are used exclusively for a certain brand of motor vehicle or exclusively for a certain type of brand of motor vehicle.
  • the shelves (seen in plan view) can have a round or polygonal shape.
  • the shelves can each be arranged individually or in groups so as to be rotatable relative to the column, in order to enable even better accessibility to the painting cups stored there.
  • An embodiment is also advantageous in which the shelves are each arranged individually rotatable relative to the column in order to be able to easily move the desired painting cup into the field of vision of the user.
  • the shelves can be supported opposite the column by means of central slide bearings which are each arranged in a central opening in the shelves.
