Definitions
- the present invention relates to a vessel provided with a launching and recovery facility for floating or submersible equipment, which comprises a lifting device comprising a set of cables which holds a basket configured to support said machine during said launching and recovery.
- raft which is a compartment arranged inside a ship that can be opened outwards and immersed.
- the davits are systems that allow lifting a boat by fixing one or more hooks on it, then move from the outside to the inside of the ship.
- Cranes and gantries called "A Frame” are versatile lifting devices that can also be used in this context. But they have the same type of characteristics and limitations as the davits mentioned above, with the difference that they also allow to recover submerged gear (small exploration submarine for example).
- Document FR-A-2401867 describes a device for handling an underwater vehicle, in this case a diving turret.
- the handling device comprises a single cable connected to a “slider” lift, which is guided along the ramps.
- the top of the turret cooperates, via a central body maie, with a centering device positioned above the frame of the slider. This system is associated damping pads.
- the invention aims to ensure that the maneuvering of the machine takes place in the best conditions, to preserve the equipment but also the integrity of the people who eventually participate in the maneuver.
- the present invention thus relates to a vessel provided with an installation for launching and recovering floating or submersible equipment, which comprises a lifting device comprising a set of cables which holds a basket configured to support said machine during said launching and recovery, said cables being vertically movable between two extreme positions, respectively high and low, characterized in that said basket comprises at least one upper face which bears against at least one surface, said "contact surface", of said lifting device, only when said cables are in high position.
- said lifting device comprises a carriage on which the set of cables is arranged, this carriage being configured to be moved horizontally;
- said "contact surface" of said lifting device is constituted by at least a portion of a lower face of said carriage;
- said "contact surface" of said lifting device is constituted by the underside of stabilizing devices of said cables which project downwardly from said carriage;
- said basket is provided with at least one float
- said "contact surface" of said lifting device is constituted by the underside of stabilizing devices of said cables projecting downwards from said carriage and that said float comprises at least one upper face which bears against said lower face of said stabilizing devices only when said cables are in the up position.
- the vessel comprises a guide member which connects said basket to a wall of said vessel, which is configured to block possible movements of "yaw” and “sideways” translation and of "yaw” rotation of said basket, when the basket is in the flotation position.
- said guide member cooperates with at least one generally vertical directional guideway profile mounted on said wall of said vessel, said member comprising at least one end which is configured to be engaged in said at least one profile and to move in the direction vertical along said guide path during said launching and recovery; said guide member is coupled to two elements which are in contact with said wall of said vessel, on either side of said guide member, thus forming a rectilinear linear connection with the wall of said vessel;
- said end of said guide member is in the form of a sphere
- said guide member cooperates with a pair of generally vertical directional guideway profiles mounted on said wall of said vessel, said member comprising elements configured to be each engaged in a profile and to move in a vertical direction along said path; guide during said launching and recovery;
- said carriage carries a pair of profiles which are configured to be brought selectively above and in the extension of said profiles mounted on said wall.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an installation that is part of the ship according to the present invention, this vessel being represented only very partially;
- FIG. 2 is a side view of the installation of Figure 1, the cables of this installation being shown in these two figures in their low position;
- FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the above-mentioned guiding member and means with which it cooperates;
- FIG. 4 is a view similar to Figure 2, but showing a position of the installation in which the cables are in the upper position, which corresponds to a transition position for the transfer of a boat on the ship;
- FIG. 5 is a view of the same installation, the boat being in a final position in which it can be deposited on the ship;
- Figures 6 and 7 are perspective views, in two different directions, of a second embodiment of the invention, the cables of the installation are not shown and the boat being in a low position;
- Figure 8 is a perspective view particularly for mounting the structure of the guiding means used
- FIG. 9 is a side view of the installation of Figures 6 and 7, in a position substantially identical to that of Figure 4;
- FIG. 10 is also a side view of the installation of FIGS.
- FIG. 11 is a perspective view of another embodiment of the invention.
- Figure 12 is also a perspective view of an alternative embodiment of Figure 11.
- a wall 10 of this vessel generally vertical wall which may be constituted for example by a portion of the hull of the ship.
- a flat surface 11 which is preferably constituted by an upper deck 11 of said vessel.
- This vessel 1 is provided with a facility 2 for launching and recovery in a floating or submersible craft.
- this installation 2 comprises a lifting device 3 which is installed on the aforementioned bridge 11.
- This lifting device 3 could consist of a simple crane or a gantry crane. However, in the embodiment which is shown here, the lifting device 3 is somewhat different from a crane and its description is given below.
- This lifting device comprises four feet 30 and 30 'which are articulated on the bridge 11 and which together form a rectangular parallelepiped fictitious and deformable. As shown more particularly in FIGS. 1 and 2, two feet 30 are a pair and are connected by a cross member 31 so that the whole is a kind of "U" inverted.
- This pair of feet 30 is furthest from the edge of the bridge 1 1.
- the second pair of legs 30 ' which is closest to the deck edge, has a cross member which is articulated on the pair of feet 30'. This cross is referenced 31 '.
- the lifting device 3 further comprises a parallelepiped plate 33 which is arranged cantilevered, horizontally, near the top of the pairs of feet 30 and 30 '. More particularly, one end of this plate is articulated relative to the crossbar 31 and simply guided relative to the crossbar 31 '.
- This plate is largely cantilevered with respect to the pair of feet 30 and 30 'so that, in the position of FIG. 1 as well as in that of FIG. 4, a large part of this plate 33 is located in line with the water on which the ship is positioned.
- the plate 33 is provided with a movable carriage 34.
- the carriage 34 is provided with wheels 340 which can move along guide tracks that comprise the opposite edges of the plate 33, as shown particularly in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the carriage 34 is provided with a lower face 341, the specific function of which will be explained below.
- This lower face has a rectangular horizontal surface of relatively large dimensions.
- the carriage 34 is equipped with a set of cables 35 which, in the position of Figure 1, are widely unwound. Although this is not visible, the carriage 34 incorporates a device for winding these cables so that they can be moved vertically, in the direction of the double arrow f of FIG.
- these cables can be unwound so as to occupy a boat, which will be described below, a low position as shown in Figures 1 and 2 and, respectively, a high position. in which the cables are completely housed inside the carriage 34, as shown particularly in FIG. 4.
- the cable assembly 35 holds a basket 4 which is configured to support a machine consisting here, in the embodiment shown, in a vessel E boat. But it could be another type of gear, for example a mini submarine.
- This basket 4 comprises a semi-rigid float 40 which has the shape, viewed from above, of a "U” with a base 400 and two parallel wings 401.
- This "U” -shaped structure has an access opening 402 for the boat E, which opening is therefore opposite to the base 400 of the float 40.
- Said float 40 has the function of placing the basket at a height compatible with the boat to recover and allow said basket, when in the flotation position, to monitor the movements of water.
- This support structure is surmounted by a parallelepiped-shaped cage 43, which does not in any way conflict with the positioning of the boat in the basket 4 but which can at least partially cover it, as shown more particularly by the Figures 1 and 2.
- This cage 43 has an upper face 430. In the case shown here, this face is flat, horizontal and discontinuous (in two parts). But it could be otherwise.
- the installation also comprises a guide member 5 which connects the basket 4 to a vessel wall, in this case the wall 10, which member 5 is configured to block the movements of the "lace” (horizontal movement of rotation about the vertical axis), of “cavally” (translation on the transverse horizontal axis) and of “yaw” (rotation on the longitudinal horizontal axis) of the basket 4 when at least part of the vertical movement of the cables 35 in the direction of the double arrow f, but also when the basket 4 is in the flotation position
- this guide member has the shape of a rod 5 which is made integral with a pair of arms 6 constituting a frame 60. More specifically, the rod 5 extends substantially parallel to the two wings 401 of the float 40 of the basket 4 during the transition phase. This guide member is therefore integral with the aforementioned frame 60 which is itself hinged to the float. At the end of the arms 6 extends a pair of wheels, inflatable tubes or pads 601, the function of which will be explained later. The free end of the rod 5 has the shape of a sphere 50.
- the guide member in this case the rod 5, cooperates with a profile 7 having a generally vertical directional guide track 7 which is mounted on a wall of the vessel, in this case the wall 10, as shown in FIG. the figures.
- the spherical end 50 is configured to engage the section 7 and move in a vertical direction along the guide path. More specifically, the section 7 has, seen from above, the shape of a "C" with an opening 70 facing the basket 7. Its upper end is open so that the sphere 50 can be engaged in this profile from above only.
- the upper end of the profile 7 may advantageously be provided diverging upwardly and / or forwards and comprise for this purpose a set of plates 71 and 72 which gives the together a funnel shape.
- the lifting device 3 has been actuated so as to make it occupy the illustrated position where the plate 33 is largely overhanging the water. Furthermore, the cables 35 were controlled so that they occupy a low position in which the basket 4 is at the water level, or even a little lower.
- the sphere 50 travels inside the profile, while the wheels (or rolls or pads) 601 bear on the wall 10 of the ship.
- the possible movements of the basket in a direction of translation in the direction of the ship 1 are prevented by the rod 5, as well as the movements of the wheels.
- the possible movements of "pitch” (rotation around the transverse horizontal axis), “roll” (rotation around the longitudinal horizontal axis), “heave” (translation on the vertical axis) are not blocked when the basket is in the flotation position.
- the upper surface 430 of the basket 4 comes into direct contact, even in engagement with the lower surface 341 of the carriage 34, so that the basket 4 is somehow immobilized relative to the hoisting apparatus 2.
- the upper surface 430 of the basket 4 is here discontinuous, that is to say made of two parts facing one another. They therefore rest at the same time against the lower surface 341 of the carriage.
- the first essential difference lies in the fact that the guide member 5 'has a shape different from that described above.
- the two sections 7 have the function of guiding, as previously, the wheels 50 'during the ascent / descent of the basket 4.
- This material is integral with the carriage 34.
- arms 8 in this case two pairs of arms 8, which extend obliquely and downwardly from the carriage 34.
- each of these pairs is extended by a profile 80 which has the same shape and the same internal dimensions as the profiles 7.
- the assembly is configured so that in a raising / lowering position of the basket 4 ( Figures 6 to 9), the profiles 80 are supported on the top of the profiles 7 which they constitute in a way the extension.
- the basket 4 which receives the boat E is devoid of cage 43, so that the cables 35 associated with the stabilizing devices 9 are attached to the upper face 403 of the wings 401 of the float 40 of the basket 4.
- the length of the stabilizing devices is substantially identical to the height of the cage 43 described in the other embodiments, to allow the recovery of floating machines substantially identical templates.
- each upper face 403 mentioned abuts against the lower face 90 of two of the struts 9.
