Definitions

  • the invention relates to a weapon trough for the safe and quick fixing of a weapon on the weapon trough.
  • a weapon in the sense of the invention is in particular a torpedo, a missile, a decoy or a mine.
  • Such weapons are regularly carried by warships, such as corvettes, frigates, destroyers, cruisers or submarines. These weapons are regularly ejected through a gun barrel, although other types of ejection are common.
  • troughs Devices for storing a weapon are regularly called a trough.
  • One or more weapons are stored in a trough, which are ready for later use and are to be inserted into a gun barrel.
  • a weapon trough has a usual length, which is larger than the longest weapon that is to be stored on the trough.
  • a DM2A4 hake torpedo has a length of up to 7 m, so that a weapon trough for receiving such a torpedo can have a length of 7.8 m, for example.
  • a weapon trough is usually moved behind a weapon barrel such that the weapon barrel and the trough are aligned with one another, as a result of which the weapon can be moved into the weapon barrel solely by a horizontal movement.
  • the trough and the weapon barrel are usually spaced apart, the distance being bridged by a bridge.
  • the length of such a bridge is usually between 1 m and 2 m, for example approximately 1.3 m.
  • the weapon in this case the torpedo, must assume a specific position in the weapon barrel, which is usually at a certain distance from the weapon barrel end facing the interior of the ship. This distance is necessary for firing the weapon, for example.
  • the weapon usually has to be inserted about 1 m into the weapon barrel. This results in the necessity to convey the weapon through the trough over the bridge and into the weapon barrel, in the example mentioned above it is about 10 m and thus over a distance which is longer than the trough.
  • the weapons on it are tensioned by means of several clamping straps, also called tension belts, and in this way against one unintentional movement both in the longitudinal direction of the weapon and transversely to it secured non-positively and possibly also positively.
  • clamping straps also called tension belts
  • the manual release of the clamping straps is time-consuming, which is disadvantageous in particular when loading the torpedo tubes in a combat situation.
  • large operating forces are required to actuate the hand crank, and also the displacement of the clamping bands in adaptation to different types of weapons is associated with a comparatively great effort due to the coupling of the clamping bands with the spindle drive.
  • a device for transporting and storing a weapon having at least one drawbar, the at least one drawbar being movable parallel to the weapon transport direction and wherein the at least one clamping band has at least one wedge and the at least one clamping band is fastened in this way, that the clamping band can be moved transversely to the weapon transport direction, wherein the at least one pull rod can act on the at least one wedge in such a way that the at least one clamping band is moved transversely to the weapon transport direction.
  • From the EP 2 363 341 A1 is a device for storing weapons in a submarine with a weapon trough for receiving at least one weapon and with at least one bracket attached to the weapon trough, which overlaps the weapon in the storage position and with a tensioning element for tensioning the retaining bracket on the weapon, the tensioning element being known as a motor is actuated.
  • the weapon therefore lies on the weapon trough with its weight and is held from above by one or usually several clamping bands.
  • the clamping bands When storing the weapon, the clamping bands must be tensioned in such a way that the weapon is stored in a shockproof manner, but the permissible surface pressure is not exceeded. If the permissible surface pressure is exceeded, the weapon can be irreversibly damaged.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a weapon trough in which a simple and quick fixation of the weapon is possible, but damage to the weapon is excluded.
  • the weapon trough according to the invention has at least one first clamping band, the at least one first clamping band having at least one support region and at least one first fastening region.
  • the support area and the first fastening area are connected via a first force limiting area.
  • the first fastening area is movably connected to the weapon trough perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the weapon trough.
  • the at least one first clamping band can be moved for fixing or releasing a weapon.
  • the at least one first fastening area and the first force limiting area can be firmly connected to one another.
  • the first force limiting region has at least one first axis, the at least one first axis being rigidly connected to the first force limiting region and the at least one first axis being arranged transversely to the longitudinal direction of the weapon trough.
  • At least one first restoring element is arranged around the at least one first axis.
  • a first connecting element is movably arranged on the at least one first axis, the first connecting element being fixedly connected to the support area.
  • the at least one first axis can have a round cross section, for example.
  • a round cross-section has the advantage that tilting on the at least one first axis is less likely.
  • the at least one first axis cannot absorb any torque if it has a round cross section.
  • An elliptical, triangular, quadrangular, pentagonal or hexagonal cross section can therefore also be advantageous.
  • the first connecting element is arranged below the at least one first restoring element on the at least one first axis.
  • a first restoring element can be used which generates a restoring force on pressure and not on tension.
  • a spring can generate a restoring force in both the pulling and pushing directions, but this is preferably done in the pushing direction.
  • the at least one first clamping band, a second fastening region and a second force limiting region, the first fastening region and the second fastening region being arranged at the opposite ends of the at least one first clamping band, and the first fastening region and the second fastening region are connected movably to the weapon trough at opposite positions of the weapon trough in relation to the longitudinal direction of the weapon trough. Even if it is sufficient to be able to loosen and tighten the at least one first clamping band on only one side, it is nevertheless advantageous to do this symmetrically on both sides.
  • the at least one first fastening area and the first force limiting area can be firmly connected to one another.
  • these can also be releasably connected to one another, for example screwed, plugged or clamped.
  • the at least one first fastening region and the first force limiting region can be detachably connected to one another.
  • a connection can be a screw connection, for example. This makes it possible to completely remove the at least one first clamping band. This can be advantageous, for example, for maintenance and repair measures, but also for the transport, installation and removal of the weapon trough itself.
  • the at least one first restoring element is a spring, in particular a prestressing compression spring.
  • the spring constant of the spring is selected such that when the spring is compressed by the maximum displacement of the at least one first fastening region, the maximum permissible surface pressure is reached.
  • the spring constant of the spring is selected such that the maximum permissible surface pressure is achieved when the at least one first fastening region is compressed, the compression of the spring being reduced by the maximum displacement minus 0.8 times the value that is as the value for fixing a theoretically ideally shaped weapon.
  • the weapon trough has at least one first pull rod, the at least one first pull rod being movable parallel to the longitudinal direction of the weapon trough.
  • the at least one first clamping band has at least one wedge in the fastening area, the at least one first clamping band being fastened such that the first clamping band can be moved transversely to the longitudinal direction of the weapon trough.
  • the at least one first pull rod can act on the at least one wedge in such a way that the at least one first clamping band is moved transversely to the longitudinal direction of the weapon trough.
  • the weapon trough has a first pull rod and a second pull rod, the second pull rod being movable parallel to the longitudinal direction of the weapon trough.
  • the first pull rod is arranged on one side of the weapon trough, the second pull rod is arranged on the opposite side.
  • the at least one first clamping band or the plurality of clamping bands each have a first fastening area and a second fastening area.
  • the first tie rod can be moved via a spring to reduce noise.
  • the weapon trough has at least a first clamping band, at least a second clamping band, at least a third clamping band and at least a fourth clamping band.
  • a length of usually a good 7 m of the weapon turret four clamping bands have proven to be sufficient for shock-proof storage of a weapon. Too few would jeopardize shock security. Too high a number increases complexity, costs and the risk of failure.
  • the weapon trough is mirror-symmetrical to the plane running perpendicularly through the longitudinal direction of the weapon trough.
  • the mirror symmetry relates to the technical functions according to the invention. For example, screws will still have the same direction of rotation on both sides and will therefore not be mirror-symmetrical to each other.
  • a weapon trough 10 is shown schematically.
  • a weapon 120 is loaded on the weapon trough 10, for example a heavyweight torpedo with a diameter of 533 mm.
  • the weapon trough for example, has a total length of 7.8 m.
  • the weapon trough has a drive 130 which drives a loading frame 140 which can transport the weapon 120 into a weapon barrel via a bridge.
  • Fig. 2 shows the rear part of the weapon trough 10 with the drive 130 and the loading block 140, but without the loaded weapon 120.
  • the clamping band consisting of the fastening region 30, the force limiting region 40 and the support region 20, can be seen more clearly.
  • the fastening area 30 has a wedge 60 or obliquely running elongated hole. Force can be exerted on this wedge 60 or the elongated hole by means of the pull rod 50 and the fastening region 30 can thus be moved perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the weapon trough.
  • This mechanism is in Fig. 3 shown enlarged.
  • the fastening area 30 is connected to the weapon trough 10 such that it can be moved via two slot holes 70 perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the weapon trough. A connection takes place through the slotted holes 70, which permits restricted movement.
  • a force-locking element 150 in the form of a pin moves along the elongated hole.
  • two wedges 60 are preferably arranged opposite one another in order to be able to move the fastening region 30 both upwards and downwards both for releasing and for fastening a weapon.
  • the pull rod 50 preferably has a force-locking element 150, with which the fastening region 30 can be moved via the wedges 60 or the elongated hole.
  • Fig. 4 shows part of a clamping band in the unloaded state, ie in the state without a fired weapon. To simplify matters, all other parts of the weapon trough 10 have not been shown.
  • the fastening area 30 is connected to the weapon trough 10 via the slot hole 70.
  • the force limiting area 40 is connected to the fastening area 30 via a screw 110.
  • the upper part consisting of support area 20 and force limiting area 40 can be completely removed.
  • the connection between the force-limiting area 40 and the support area 20 takes place via an axis 80 and a connecting element 100 movable on the axis 80.
  • a restoring element 90 in the form of a spring is arranged around the axis 80 and above the connecting element 100. The restoring element 90 ensures that no excessive force acts on the support area 20, so that the support area 20 exceeds the permissible surface pressure of the weapon 120.
  • Fig. 5 is a Fig. 4 see analog representation. Only the clamping band is in the tensioned state here, which can be seen from the higher position of the connecting element 100 and the compressed shape of the restoring element 90.
  • Fig. 6 schematically shows a weapon trough 10 without a loaded weapon, the weapon trough having four clamping bands, recognizable by the four contact areas 20.
  • the clamping bands are approximately 2 m apart.
