L'invention concerne un appareil pour retirer la tige et le centre de poivrons et similaires, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend : - un dispositif de transport (11) conçu pour saisir et retenir au moins un produit (12) à nettoyer dans une position prédéfinie ; - un dispositif d'ouverture (13) conçu pour former une ouverture (12a) dans le produit (12) à nettoyer ; - un dispositif de nettoyage (14) conçu pour souffler un jet de fluide à l'intérieur du produit (12) de sorte que le jet retire les parties intérieures du produit (12) sans endommager les parties extérieures (12b).
