Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for ironing items of laundry with a lack of ribbons according to the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a lack of ribbons according to the preamble of claim 5.
  • Laundry items are smoothed out by mangles.
  • mangles There are different designs of such mangles.
  • the invention relates to so-called ribbon mangles.
  • band ironers have at least one ironer body and at least one ironer band that largely wraps around it on the outside. Between the section of the respective ironer belt that wraps around the at least one ironer body, a ironer gap is formed, through which the item of laundry can be transported by the circulating ironer belt.
  • the at least one ironer body is preferably designed to be stationary.
  • a device for drying and ironing textiles which has a stationary ironer body in the form of a semicircular trough to which a rotary ironer belt is assigned.
  • An inlet area is assigned to one edge of the trough-like ironer body.
  • At the opposite edge of the trough-like ironer body there is an outlet area.
  • the textiles that are to be deficient in each case are placed on a deflection drum of the ironer belt in front of the infeed area and fed to the ironer gap while being carried along by the ironer belt.
  • a device for drying and ironing towels is known.
  • the ironer band is assigned to a rotatably drivable ironer roller, the run-out area being arranged above the inlet area, so that the ironer band wraps around the ironer roller by about 330 °.
  • the respective cloth is placed on a horizontal section of the ironer belt in front of the inlet area. From here the cloth is transported from the ironer belt to the infeed area and from there into the ironer gap.
  • the invention is now based on the object of creating a method for ironing items of laundry and a lack of tapes, which ensure a fault-free and crease-free feeding of missing items of laundry to and into the inlet area.
  • a method for solving this problem has the measures of claim 1. Accordingly, when the ironer body is stationary and at a standstill, the laundry items to be deficient are fed downwardly to the ironer gap in the inlet area. The laundry items can thereby automatically run into the ironer gap at the beginning of the ironer gap, essentially following the force of gravity and / or supported by preferably only the at least one ironer band, without disruption and essentially also without creases.
  • the lower infeed area makes it structurally possible to feed the laundry items to be deficient directly from above into the ironer gap, in particular to transport them to the beginning of the ironer gap. This reduces the risk of malfunctions when insufficient items of laundry run into the ironer gap and the formation of wrinkles is at least reduced.
  • the method also provides that the items of laundry to be deficient in the inlet area are first brought into contact with the ironer belt moving downwards in the ironer direction shortly before the ironer gap before they come into contact with the ironer surface of the respective ironer body and / or with it respective leading transverse edge run into the ironer gap.
  • the at least one ironer belt can be brought up to the infeed area in such a way that there is a spatial possibility of transporting the laundry items to be lacking directly downwards to the beginning of the ironer gap and / or into the ironer gap, so that the laundry items virtually fall into the ironer gap.
  • the laundry items are preferably placed in a lower inlet area on or at a small distance above a horizontal longitudinal center plane through a longitudinal center axis of the at least one mangle body supplied.
  • ironed items of laundry are preferably transported away in the outlet area at a greater distance above the horizontal longitudinal center plane.
  • a preferred further development of the method provides for the at least one ironer band to be deflected by at least 180 ° on an optionally driven deflection drum at the lower inlet area of the ironer.
  • the at least one ironer band in the inlet area has a U-shaped profile that is closed at the top, as a result of which the inlet area of the ironer band is designed as a type of edge.
  • Such an edge area is realized by the U-shaped deflection of the at least one ironer band by means of a guide drum at the lower inlet area of the band ironer according to the invention.
  • the deflection drum of the at least one ironer band has a relatively small diameter in the inlet area.
  • the method is advantageously developed by assigning the higher-lying outlet area to that side of the at least one ironer body to which the inlet area is assigned.
  • the inlet area and the outlet area are then on the same side of the at least one ironer body. This is preferably the side on which the laundry items to be deficient are fed to the lack of tapes.
  • the outlet area is preferably located at a small distance above and / or diagonally above the inlet area. From here, ironed items of laundry can be transported away from the at least one ironer belt over the at least one ironer body to the side of the ironer opposite the feed side with the inlet area.
  • the method can be developed in such a way that at least one diverting aid is assigned to the run-out area. This ensures that the ironed items of laundry are diverted from the at least one ironer body in the outlet area so that they can be transported away by the same and / or transferred to a conveyor while maintaining their contact with the at least one ironer belt.
  • a lack of ligaments to solve the problem mentioned at the beginning has the features of claim 5.
  • the items of laundry that are lacking can reach the inlet area directly, preferably below the outlet area.
  • the at least one ironer band can thereby be brought spatially close to the inlet area.
  • the inlet area can also be arranged on the side of the lack of tapes from which items of laundry to be lacking are transported to the lack of tapes, for example by an input machine.
  • the inlet area of the ribbon ironer is arranged on a horizontal longitudinal center plane through a longitudinal center axis of the at least one ironer body or at a small distance above the horizontal longitudinal center plane.
  • the outlet area is preferably arranged at a greater distance above the longitudinal center plane. Since the inlet area is arranged on or just above the mentioned horizontal longitudinal center plane, the laundry items to be deficient can enter the ironer gap, in particular its beginning, laterally from above, following the force of gravity. The items of laundry to be deficient fall or slide almost automatically from above into the ironer gap, which prevents or at least reduces disruptions and wrinkles when insufficient items of laundry run into the ironer gap.
  • the items of laundry to be deficient come into contact with the at least one ironer band on the inlet side shortly before the start of the ironer gap or, if necessary, only at the beginning of the ironer gap.
  • This favors or enables the direct supply of insufficient laundry items to the inlet area of the lack of tapes, preferably without any inlet aids.
  • the inlet area and the outlet area are assigned to the same side of the at least one ironer body.
  • the outlet area is preferably arranged at a small distance above or almost or at an angle above the inlet area.
  • the greatest possible angle of wrap of the at least one ironer body can be brought about by the at least one ironer band, which ensures high performance. Nonetheless, items of laundry to be deficient can be fed to the ironer gap directly and preferably without a feed aid at the inlet area and in the process enter the ironer gap at least essentially free of disturbances and wrinkles.
  • the lower-lying inlet area is preferably located on that side of the ironer and / or of the at least one ironer body of the same, from which the laundry items to be deficient are transported to the ironer. This enables missing items of laundry to be fed to the lack of ribbons in the shortest possible way.
  • the items of laundry to be deficient can be fed to the ironer in such a way that they come into contact with the at least one ironer band only or immediately and / or shortly before the start of the ironer gap. It is preferably provided that the items of laundry to be deficient come into contact with at least one ironer belt at the same time or only shortly before they come into contact with the at least one ironer body.
  • the lack of straps can advantageously be further developed in that at least one deflection aid for ironed items of laundry is assigned to the outlet area arranged on the side of the inlet area somewhat above, in particular obliquely above, the same.
  • the at least one deflection aid ensures that for the removal of defective items of laundry by the ironer belt, the respective laundry item in the outlet area is diverted from the at least one ironer body and remains in contact with the at least one ironer belt.
  • the at least one strip of ironer is led back from the outlet area around the at least one ironer body, preferably over the at least one inlet area, to the inlet area.
  • the figures show various ironing lines with a lack of ribbons 10 or just the lack of ribbons 10.
  • the mangle 10 is used for ironing flat linen in particular such as covers, pillows, but also tablecloths, serviettes or the like.
  • the items of laundry not shown in the figures are at least largely freed from their residual moisture and smoothed.
  • the ironer line shown has an input machine 11, which is followed in the ironer direction 12 or the direction in which the laundry items pass through the ironer line, followed by the ironer 10 and, behind it, a folding machine 13.
  • a conventional tray ironer 14 and then the folding machine 13 are provided behind the feeding machine 11 and the subsequent ribbon ironer 10.
  • the ironer 10 has a stationary, stationary cylindrical ironer body 15 and a cylindrical outer surface 16 of the same for the most part, preferably around 300 ° to 330 °, surrounding endless and circumferentially drivable ironer belt 17.
  • the cylindrical ironer body 16 can optionally be driven to rotate . This is preferably done in such a way that a slip occurs between the ironer body 15 and the ironer band 17.
  • the ironer body 15 does not need to be cylindrical, as shown in the figures. Rather, it can have any other cross-sections. Such a mangle body is not driven to rotate, so it stands still.
  • the ironer body 15 of the ironer 10 is heated from the inside. This heating can be done with steam, thermal oil, flames from a burner, but also electrically and / or with infrared radiation. As a result of the heating of the ironer body 15, its outer surface 16 is heated for heating or warming the items of laundry to be deficient from the ironer 10.
  • a ironer gap 18 is formed between the lateral surface 16 of the ironer body 15 and the section of the ironer band 17 which currently wraps around the ironer body 15.
  • the ironer gap 18 is bounded on both sides by an inlet area 19 of the ribbon ironer 10 on the one hand and an outlet region 20 of the ribbon ironer 10 on the other. Viewed in the ironing direction 12, the inlet area 19 is located at the front, transverse end of the ironer gap 18 and the outlet area 20 is located at the rear, transverse end of the ironer gap 18.

  • the endless ironer belt 17 is brought up to the ironer body 15 at the inlet area 19 and diverted from the ironer body 15 at the outlet area 20.
  • the ironer belt 17, which is derived from the ironer body 15 at the outlet area 20, is led back around the outside of the ironer body 15 to the inlet area 19.
  • the ironer 10 has five guide drums 21 to 25 in the exemplary embodiment shown, the longitudinal center axes of which run parallel to the longitudinal center axis 26 of the cylindrical ironer body 15 , the distances between the longitudinal center axes of the guide drums 21 to 25 and the longitudinal center axis 26 of the ironer body 15 being different. At least one of the guide drums 21 to 25 is driven to rotate for the revolving drive of the ironer belt 17.
  • all idler pulleys 21 to 25 are formed the same. In particular, they have the same diameter.
  • the two lower deflecting drums 22, 23 are moveable, namely transversely displaceable by pressure cylinder 27, for tensioning the ironer belt 17.
