Definitions

  • the invention relates to an air duct arrangement for a downdraft extractor device with at least two base ventilation boxes connected in series for installation in a furniture base.
  • the DE 10 2008 033 792 A1 describes a plinth ventilation box for installation in a furniture plinth, the plinth ventilation box having at least one air outlet covered by an exhaust air grille and a first air inlet, an inside of an upper side of the plinth ventilation box and / or an underside of the plinth ventilation box opposite the top has a receptacle for a support foot .
  • Similar plinth ventilation boxes also describe the U.S. 3,926,171 A , the DE 10 2015 103 034 A1 , the DE 10 2015 103 030 A1 , the DE 10 2015 213 471 A1 and the DE 10 2009 025 038 A1 .
  • Plinth ventilation boxes of the type described above are used in particular in so-called downdraft extractor devices, in which the vapors produced during cooking are sucked in directly on the hob, passed through the kitchen furniture and, after suitable filtration, blown out as filtered air via the base of the furniture into the room.
  • the filtration creates a considerable loss of pressure within the plinth ventilation box, which requires a correspondingly higher fan output and thus a high level of noise and reduced energy efficiency.
  • the passage of the vapors through the base area of the kitchen furniture is sometimes structurally complex, since the air control system in the base can collide with the leg elements of the kitchen furniture arranged there and the air duct system consequently has to be guided around the legs with correspondingly high parts expenditure.
  • the sometimes voluminous plinth ventilation boxes for the filtration and the air outlet into the kitchen area cause structural difficulties.
  • the air ducting arrangement also makes it possible for it to be installed in the furniture plinth instead of a furniture base that may be present on site and, in the process, also to take over the support function provided by the furniture base.
  • at least one support foot can be received in the receptacle and extend inside the base ventilation box between an upper side of the base ventilation box and an underside of the base ventilation box.
  • the support foot can preferably be held in the receptacle via a form fit.
  • the base ventilation box has at least one air guide element which is received in the base ventilation box, air flowing into the base ventilation box via the air guide element being diverted in the direction of the air outlet.
  • Both the top and the bottom can have at least one receptacle of the type described above.
  • One receptacle each for the upper part and the lower part can be arranged in alignment opposite one another.
  • the support foot can be received with a first of its opposite ends in a first one of the receptacles and with an end opposite the first end in a second one of the receptacles.
  • the base ventilation box can rest with its underside on a base, for example on the floor of a building. Furthermore, a floor element of a piece of furniture can be supported on the upper side of the plinth ventilation box.
  • a spacer in particular a spacer sleeve, is arranged in alignment with the support leg on the outside of the top, on the support side facing away from the outside the floor element is placed and supported.
  • the spacer expediently has a dimension in the direction perpendicular to the top of the base ventilation box which is just the distance to be overcome between the top and the Floor element corresponds.
  • the floor element can be supported on the base via the spacer, the top of the base ventilation box, the support foot and the underside of the base ventilation box.
  • the support foot and / or the spacer can be adjustable in height or length.
  • the top of the base ventilation box can be formed by an upper part and the underside of the base ventilation box can be formed by a lower part, which are connected to one another via a connection point, in particular an adhesive connection.
  • the upper part and the lower part can be plastic injection molded parts.
  • the upper part and the lower part can in particular be designed as identical parts.
  • the upper part and the lower part can each have at least one arcuate groove on their respective inside opposite one another, into which the air guiding element extends with opposite longitudinal edges.
  • the second air inlet can also have the function of a second air outlet, for example when air flows in via the first air inlet of a first base ventilation box in a row situation of several base ventilation boxes and partially exits the first base ventilation box via the air outlet with the exhaust grille, and partly via the second "Air inlet” flows out of the first base ventilation box in order to flow into a second base ventilation box via the air inlet of a second base ventilation box.
  • the upper part and the lower part can have a first and a second pair of arcuate grooves opposite on their inner side, the first pair of arcuate grooves extending from the air outlet to the first air inlet and the second pair of arcuate grooves extending from the air outlet to the second air inlet .
  • the upper and lower parts have several pairs of arcuate grooves opposite one another on their inner sides, but which are guided from the air outlet to the same air inlet at a distance from one another. Starting from the air outlet, the distance can widen in the course of the grooves in the direction of the air inlet. If the upper part and lower part are still identical parts, assembly can take place regardless of the direction of flow and it is done afterwards Preassembly of the housing in the base area only requires that the air guide elements are inserted into the corresponding pairs of grooves as required.
  • the upper part and the lower part can each have an arcuate groove designed as a parabolic groove on their inner sides opposite one another.
  • a geometry of curvature of the different pairs of arcuate grooves can be identical, so that the same air guiding element with the same geometry of curvature as the arcuate grooves can optionally be inserted into any pair of opposing arcuate grooves via its opposite longitudinal edges.
  • the plinth ventilation box can have a waisted shape, with a wide section from which the exhaust air grille is held and which has at least a first width which corresponds to a filter width, and with a narrow section adjoining the wide section which has a second width, which is smaller than the filter width, wherein the at least one air inlet is arranged on an outer side of the narrow region arranged in the width direction of the narrow region. If the plinth ventilation box has two air inlets or one air inlet and a further air outlet, then these can be arranged on opposite outer sides of the narrow area in the width direction of the narrow area.
  • the plinth ventilation box is particularly space-saving thanks to its tailored shape.
  • a furniture plinth in which a plinth ventilation box of the type described above is mounted, a free edge of the underside of the plinth ventilation box facing the outside of the furniture plinth being set back from a front alignment of the furniture plinth, and a sealing lip on a lower edge of the Exhaust air grille is arranged between the free edge and the front line of the furniture plinth and rests in a sealing manner on a base of the furniture plinth, in particular on a building floor.
  • a downdraft extractor device with at least two plinth ventilation boxes of the type described above mounted in a furniture plinth, in which the plinth ventilation boxes with the air outlet is open to an outside of the furniture plinth, and wherein the plinth ventilation boxes and a downdraft extractor are connected an air duct arrangement are connected.

  • the Downdraft extractor hoods are introduced into the air duct arrangement from a hob on an upper side of a piece of furniture placed on the furniture plinth, passed through the air duct arrangement and blown out of the air duct arrangement via the air outlet of the at least two plinth ventilation boxes.
  • the plinth ventilation box can be pushed into the furniture plinth from the front of the furniture plinth and then fixed to the skirting board.
  • the base ventilation box has a receptacle for positioning a support foot.
  • This receptacle can in particular be a form-fit receptacle on the inside of the upper part or the lower part of the plinth ventilation box.
  • the support foot can optionally be inserted to provide stability to the structure above.
  • the support leg can replace an existing on-site furniture leg of kitchen furniture. To fix the support foot, it can be inserted into the described receptacle and fixed by height adjustment, in particular a length adjustment of the support foot, via a bias between the top and bottom of the base ventilation box.
  • the plinth ventilation boxes have guide bodies inside that direct part of the guided volume flow in the direction of the air outlet and thus reduce the pressure loss in the plinth ventilation box.
  • the length of the guide body can depend on the respective position of the plinth ventilation box.
  • the plinth ventilation boxes can be fluidically connected in series via flexible hoses or the like. At the last plinth ventilation box in the direction of flow, (almost) the entire remaining volume flow can be deflected in the direction of the air outlet of the plinth ventilation box in question.
  • the air guide elements can be clamped in the interior of the base ventilation box between the top and bottom of the base ventilation box, preferably one detachable connection between the air guide elements and the top and bottom is made so that the air guide elements can be removed and repositioned if necessary.
  • several, optionally differently curved air guide elements can also be used in a plinth ventilation box.
  • the air guide elements can have a constant or variable cross section in the direction of flow.
  • the base ventilation box can have a condensate retention edge, which prevents accumulated condensate from escaping from the base ventilation box.
  • an adapter can be provided which is connected to the base ventilation box, for example, via a clip connection.
  • the flexible hose can be pushed over the adapter and fixed in a fluid-tight manner with the aid of a hose clamp or the like.
  • the plinth ventilation box has several air inlets, it can be provided that an air inlet that is not required can optionally be closed with the aid of a cover.
  • the last plinth ventilation box in the air flow direction can have an air inlet closed by a cover.
  • the base ventilation box can be designed with a waist so that the flexible hose adapters described do not protrude excessively at the sides. This enables assembly even if there is a very short distance between the existing furniture feet, without the furniture feet having to be removed.
  • the area of the air outlet can be covered by an activated carbon filter, wherein the filter area can be curved one or more times. Compared to a straight filter, this increases the filter area and accordingly, due to the increased flow resistance, reduces the flow rate through the filter medium and thus increases the filter effect.
  • the curvature of the filter has the advantage that the air always flows through filter layers that are first stretched and then compressed. This increases the exchange of substances between activated carbon and odor particles and intensifies the filter effect.
  • An exhaust air grille of the plinth ventilation box can consist of aerodynamically shaped lamellas, the activated carbon filter forming a unit with the ventilation grille. Both elements can be fixed to a bracket that is located on the left and right of the unit. It can be provided that the unit can be pushed into the base ventilation box by means of a magnetic connection and fixed to it.
