Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a fitting arrangement for a sliding door, in particular for a lift and slide door, the fitting arrangement having a carriage by means of which the sliding door can be displaceably mounted and moved on a running rail on the floor.
  • a fitting arrangement for a sliding door according to the preamble of claim 1 is for example from the US 3,793,673 A known.
  • a similar fitting arrangement also describes the US 3,739,424 A , where the rollers meet in the axial direction.
  • carriages for sliding doors which have at least one roller which is provided along its outer circumference with a circumferential groove into which a guide web provided along a floor running rail engages, so that the carriage and thus the sliding door are guided in the longitudinal direction of the running rail in this way is.
  • the carriage and in particular its roller must be integrated approximately in the middle of the sliding door frame, as a result of which the carriage and in particular its rollers are difficult to access for maintenance purposes.
  • the integration of the carriage into the sliding door is relatively complex since, for this purpose, a corresponding cut-out must be provided for receiving the carriage along the lower edge of the sliding door or the frame thereof.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a fitting arrangement for a sliding door which can be assembled and serviced more easily.
  • the fitting arrangement according to the invention has a carriage which is suitable for slidably mounting a sliding door along a running rail on the floor.
  • the carriage has a carriage body and at least two or a pair of rollers which are rotatably mounted on the carriage body about a common axis and are spaced apart in the direction of the axis, the two rollers each having a diameter which increases with increasing distance from the respective other roller increases.
  • the diameter of each roller preferably increases continuously over the entire width of the roller with increasing distance from the other roller, the diameter as a function of the width should also be differentiable in the mathematical sense, which can mean, for example, that the rollers are purely frustoconical are trained.
  • the carriage has at least two rollers which are arranged at a distance from one another perpendicular to the plane of the sliding door, the rollers do not have to be integrated into the lower edge of the sliding door and can rather flank the lower edge of the sliding door.
  • the rollers can therefore be located on both sides of a plane defined by the sheet of the sliding door and are therefore easily accessible, in particular for maintenance purposes, and the carriage can also be assembled easily, since the carriage does not have to be integrated into the lower edge of the sliding door. Rather, the carriage can be attached to the lower edge of the sliding door and thus form the lower end of the sliding door, so that no receptacle for the carriage has to be milled into it.
  • the carriage of the fitting arrangement according to the invention or its rollers tends to block less when granular material such as sand is in the movement path of the rollers, since this is pushed aside by the example of the conical shape of the rollers, which results from their increasing diameter becomes.
  • Granular material therefore does not represent an obstacle for the rollers on which the rollers run up and thereby block, since the material is pushed aside by the rollers as they roll.
  • the fitting arrangement further comprises a running rail with a running surface on which the at least two running rollers can roll, the running surface viewed in cross section defining a height of the running rail which, viewed in cross section, decreases towards both sides of the running surface.
  • the height of the running rail can increase towards the center from both sides of the running surface, so that, viewed in cross section, the running surface has an apex of maximum height, from which the running rail height decreases on both sides of the running surface.
  • the apex can be formed by a single point. However, the apex can also be formed, for example, by a horizontal straight line or a convex arch which connects the tread sections on which the two rollers stand up and roll off.
  • the running surface of the running rail when viewed in cross section, can be convexly curved or can be designed like a gable roof.
  • a convexly curved running track proves to be particularly advantageous if the running rollers of the running carriage are conical or have the shape of a truncated cone or have a rolling surface that is concave when viewed in cross section.
  • the running surface of the running rail, viewed in cross-section is designed like a gable roof, it proves to be advantageous if the running rollers of the running carriage are conical or have the shape of a truncated cone.
  • This type of matching of the rollers to the cross-sectional shape of the running surface of the running rail can maximize the contact surface of the running rollers on the running rail, whereby the stresses prevailing both in the running rollers and in the running surface can be kept small.
  • the convexly curved or gabled roof-shaped cross-sectional shape of the running surface of the running rail proves to be advantageous in that the running rollers are automatically centered on the running surface of the running rail for guiding the carriage. Due to the convexly curved or gable roof-like cross-sectional shape of the running surface of the running rail, a sliding door guided by the running carriage is automatically centered on the running rail or its running surface.
  • the running surface of the running rail viewed in cross section, has a width dimension that is greater than the distance between the two running rollers or the track width of the running carriage, in order to ensure that the rollers then still run on the running rail or stand on it when the sliding door is slightly deflected perpendicular to its plane.
  • a particular advantage of the fitting arrangement according to the invention is that it fulfills the requirements for accessibility in the building industry.
  • the running track of the fitting arrangement according to the invention does not have any discrete jumps in height, as are formed, for example, by the aforementioned guide web, on the circumferential side of which grooved roller rolls.
  • the running rail of the fitting arrangement according to the invention fits harmoniously and in particular without discreet jumps in height in the floor structure, so that the rail does not represent an obstacle, for example for wheelchair users.
  • the maximum height difference of the running rail can be less than half the minimum diameter of the running rollers and preferably less than half the minimum radius of the running rollers.
  • the difference in height of the running surface of the running rail is therefore negligible, especially since the running surface is preferably curved or gable roof-like, which means that the difference in height is not to be overcome as a discrete step but as an inclined or curved surface, which once again benefits the accessibility.
  • the running rail can be designed as a hollow chamber profile. This enables the majority of the running rail to be integrated into the floor structure, so that only the running surface of the running rail rises above the upper edge of the floor structure.
  • the fitting arrangement can furthermore have a cover through which the carriage is covered, a gap between the cover and the running rail being bridged by a sealing or compensating element which is provided on the cover.
  • FIG. 1 A sliding door 10 can be seen, a carriage 14 being mounted flush against the lower edge of the door leaf 12 of the sliding door 10.
  • the carriage 14 has a carriage body 16 which, viewed in cross section, has an essentially C-shaped shape.
  • the carriage body 16 has two mutually parallel flange sections 18 which are spaced apart from one another by an amount which is greater than the thickness of the door leaf 12.
  • Each of these flange sections 18 carries a rotatably mounted roller 20, each having a diameter that increases with increasing distance from the other roller 20.
  • the rollers 20 thus have a rolling surface 22 which, viewed in cross section, is frustoconical or slightly concave. Because the casters 20 are attached to the flange portions 18 of the carriage body 16 which are spaced apart by an amount greater than the thickness of the door panel 12, the track width of the carriage 14 is greater than the thickness of the door panel 12 of the sliding door 10.
  • the carriage 14 can have further pairs of rollers which are designed like the pair of rollers shown and are attached to the carriage body 16, these further pairs of rollers being provided perpendicular to the plane of the drawing on the pair of rollers shown on the carriage body 16.
  • Fig. 1 can also be seen, the two rollers 20 stand on the tread 24 of a running rail 26 embedded in the floor structure 28, which is designed as a hollow chamber profile, the running rail 26 laterally adjacent to the running surface 24 has two further hollow chambers, which can be covered, for example, by a grating 30.
  • the running surface 24 of the running rail 26 has a slightly convex shape when viewed in cross section.
  • the running surface 24 defines a height of the running rail 26 which, viewed in cross section, decreases on both sides of the running surface 24.
  • the tread 24 thus has its maximum height in a central region, from where it becomes lower on both sides in order to be flush with the floor structure 28.
  • the convex shape of the tread 24 is matched to the concave shape of the rolling surfaces 22 of the rollers 20, so that they stand up over the entire surface of the tread 24.
  • the inclination or the curvature of the tread 24 in the contact areas to the rollers 20 corresponds to the inclination or the curvature of the rolling surfaces 22 of the rollers 20 when viewed in cross section, so that the rollers 20 cover the entire surface of the tread 24 stand up.
  • the carriage 14 or the sliding door 10 is thus centered by the running surface 24 when the sliding door 10 is moved along the running surface 24 of the running rail 26.
  • the running surface 24 of the running rail 26 viewed in cross section, has a width dimension that is somewhat larger than the distance between the two running rollers 20 in order to ensure that the running rollers 20 stand on the running surface 24 even in the event of any deflections of the sliding door 10.
  • a cover 32 which not only the overall aesthetic impression of the sliding door 10 upgrades, but at the same time prevents dirt from entering the carriage 14.
  • a seal 34 is provided on the cover 32 in the embodiment shown here. which bridges the gap between the cover 32 and the running rail 24.
  • the running surface 24 of the running rail 26 is convexly curved, whereas the rolling surfaces 22 of the running rollers 20 are concave when viewed in cross section.
  • the running surface 24 of the running rail 26 it would also be possible to design the running surface 24 of the running rail 26 to be concave or groove-like, viewed in cross section, in which case the two running rollers 20 each have a diameter that decreases with increasing distance from the other running roller .
  • the tread 24 viewed in cross section would have a trough, through the side surfaces of which the rollers 20 would be guided to achieve the desired centering function.
  • This embodiment also meets the requirements for accessibility, since such a trough or channel can hardly be perceived as an obstacle by the relatively large wheels of a wheelchair.
  • the running rail 26 is not designed as a hollow chamber profile, but rather as a solid rail, as can be particularly advantageous in the case of very heavy sliding doors.
  • the rollers 20 or their rolling surfaces 22 are not approximately concave but conical, although the running rail 24 is convexly curved.
  • the running rollers 20 stand on the running surface 24 of the running rail 26 essentially over their entire surface, despite their conical shape, which means that the tensions in both the rollers 20 and in the tread 24 can be kept low in the desired manner.
