Definitions

  • the invention relates to a rail vehicle coupling for coupling a rail vehicle to a rail vehicle in a litter design.
  • Typical passenger rail vehicles have two bogies and can be coupled to other vehicles.
  • special train configurations do not require operational separability of the vehicle assembly, so that other vehicle concepts can be used.
  • a specific coupling is provided between a conventional and a sedan carriage, which transmits the operating and weight forces and which ensures the necessary mobility for cornering, cornering and bathing. Ball joints are particularly suitable for this.
  • measures must be taken to prevent the litter truck from tipping over.
  • the coupled vehicles using a handlebar connected, the handlebar being articulated on each vehicle and preventing the vehicles from tipping towards one another, ie blocking a degree of freedom of movement of the ball joint.
  • This handlebar is typically arranged in the roof space of the vehicles, as a result of which the forces to be transmitted via the handlebar are reduced compared to an arrangement in the base area due to the lever laws.
  • such an arrangement is not possible in small vehicles with an atypically small cross-section, so that the litter principle may not be applicable.
  • EP 1 245 468 A1 a joint for connecting two vehicles is known which, in the manner of a double hinge, allows the two coupled vehicles to rotate relative to one another when cornering.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a rail vehicle coupling for coupling a rail vehicle to a rail vehicle in a litter construction, in which the degree of freedom of rotation around the longitudinal axis of the rail vehicle coupling and thus around the longitudinal axis of the rail vehicles to be coupled is blocked.
  • a rail vehicle coupling for connecting a rail vehicle to a rail vehicle in a litter construction is described, which is a releasable one Connection with one of the two rail vehicles and an articulated fork set up for detachable connection with the other of the two rail vehicles and a horizontally aligned axis which is connected to the articulated fork and which penetrates a spherical bearing connected to the articulated eye, the ends of the axis in engage a slide guide, which is connected to the hinge eye, and this slide guide blocks the mobility of the axis with respect to the hinge eye about the longitudinal axis of the rail vehicle coupling.
  • the advantage can be achieved of being able to prevent a rolling movement of the two rail vehicles coupled to one another, the corresponding degree of freedom of the coupling about the longitudinal axis being blocked. It is essential that the two further degrees of freedom about the vertical axis and about the transverse axis of the coupling remain uninfluenced and free, so that the coupling allows the corresponding pivoting of the vehicles to each other when cornering, cornering and troughing.
  • the degree of freedom of the clutch alone is influenced about the longitudinal axis, ie also about the longitudinal axis of the coupled vehicles. This means that a stiff joint can be created without a handlebar in the roof area.
  • the rail vehicle coupling comprises an articulated eye and an articulated fork, each of which is designed for releasable attachment with one car body each. Screw connections can be used for this fastening.
  • a spherical joint (ball joint) forms the connection point between the joint fork and the joint eye and is connected to the joint eye, so that these two components (joint fork and joint eye) are three to each other Have degrees of freedom of rotation, which is blocked about the longitudinal axis by further measures.
  • the joint fork is equipped with an axis which is connected to it and which penetrates the spherical joint and thus establishes the connection to the joint eye.
  • This axis is extended at both ends and designed so that it can engage in a recess (sliding guide) of the hinge eye and is movable in this sliding guide.
  • This slide guide is arranged horizontally in the installation position of the rail vehicle coupling. This means that the degree of freedom around the vertical axis (cornering) is free, because when cornering the ends of the axis are movable along the shape of the sliding guide.
  • the axis When traveling up a hill or a tub, the axis either does not perform any relative movement to the sliding guide (if the axis is clamped in the spherical bearing) or it rotates around its own axis, which is not blocked by the sliding guide.
  • a preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the sections of the axle guided in the sliding guide are each equipped with a sliding body which comprises these sections. These sliding bodies form a sleeve surrounding the ends of the axle, so that the axle itself does not come into direct contact with the sliding guide. This provides the advantage of ensuring better sliding and wear behavior at this point of contact than when the axis comes into direct contact with the sliding guide.
  • the sliding bodies are designed with a certain flexibility, for example by a corresponding choice of material or Shaping so that the roll stiffness of the joint (the coupling) is reduced. In this way, slight twists around the longitudinal axis are permitted, which reduces the mechanical load on the coupling.
  • Another preferred embodiment of the invention provides for the sliding bodies to be rotatable with respect to the axis.
  • the sliding bodies are equipped with a cylindrical bore through which the ends of the axis are guided.
  • the outer shape of the sliding body can also have flat surfaces in order to make a flat contact with the sliding guide. In this way, significantly less wear on the sliding bodies can be achieved.
  • Fig.1 shows an example and schematically a train combination with a litter car.
  • a train of three vehicles is shown, one being a rail vehicle in litter construction 2 is coupled between two conventional rail vehicles 3.
  • a rail vehicle coupling 1 according to the invention is arranged between the rail vehicle in the litter design 2 and the right rail vehicle 1.
  • the further coupling of the rail vehicle in litter design 2 is of another embodiment, it only has to transfer the weight and operating forces between these vehicles, whereby a ball joint with three degrees of rotation can be used since the rail vehicle coupling 1 at the further vehicle end prevents the rail vehicle in litter construction 2 from swaying.
  • the rail vehicle in the litter design 2 and the right coupled conventional rail vehicle 3 can therefore only move together about their respective longitudinal axes.
  • FIG.2 shows an example and schematically a rail vehicle coupling in a sectional view.
  • a rail vehicle coupling 1 is shown, which comprises an articulated eye 3 and an articulated fork 5.
  • These components 4, 5 are each designed for releasable connection to the body of a rail vehicle and have corresponding fastening means.
  • These fasteners such as bores or threads are to simplify the illustration, as are rail vehicles in Fig.1 not shown.
  • the joint eye 4 is equipped with a spherical joint 7, through which an axis 6 penetrates, which is connected to the joint fork 5. In this way there is a connection between the joint fork 5 and the joint eye 6, which blocks all translational degrees of freedom and thus transmits all operating forces in all directions.
  • the spherical joint 7 ensures freedom of all three degrees of freedom of rotation, which is necessary for a movement about the vertical axis and the transverse axis.
  • the Degree of freedom around the longitudinal axis cannot remain unlocked for driving operation in order to prevent excessive rolling and even tilting of the litter construction 2 rail vehicle.
  • the joint eye 4 is equipped with two sliding guides 8, in which the ends of the axis 6 engage.
  • these sliding guides 8 are shown as components which are separate from the hinge eye 4 and releasably connected to the latter. The manufacture of the articulated eye 4 can thereby be considerably simplified.
  • the ends of the axis 6 are encompassed with sliding bodies 9, which have corresponding contact surfaces in order to ensure an exact and wear-free guidance on the slideways 10 of the sliding guides 8. This makes it easy to implement optimal material combinations of the components in contact with each other.
  • the axis 6 is rotatably supported in the two sliding bodies 9, so that the degrees of freedom around the transverse axis and around the vertical axis are free, but that around the longitudinal axis is blocked.
  • Figure 3 shows an example and schematically a rail vehicle coupling. It is a rail vehicle coupling 1 uncut in a completely assembled form. The rail vehicle coupling 1 is in a position typical of tight cornering, so that due to the deflection, a sliding body 9 is visible on one side, which is located at the end of the possible guiding area of the sliding guide 8.
  • Figure 4 shows an example and schematically a rail vehicle coupling in a sectional view when driving straight ahead.
  • a horizontal section through a rail vehicle coupling 1 as shown in FIG Fig.2 is shown in an oblique representation. It can be seen that the axis 6 is equipped at its ends with a shoulder in which the diameter of the axis 6 is reduced. In this area the axis 6 is encompassed by a sliding body 9 which is in contact with the respective slideways 10 of the sliding guides 8. The contact surfaces on the sliding bodies 9 themselves are in Figure 4 not visible.
  • Figure 5 shows an example and schematically a rail vehicle coupling in a sectional view when cornering. It is the rail vehicle coupling 1 Figure 4 shown when cornering around the smallest possible curve radius.
  • the sliding bodies 9 are located at the end of the slideways 10 in the sliding guides 8.
