Definitions

  • the invention relates to a package for rolls, comprising a first, outer wrapping layer of a film material, a tear thread and at least one end plug, which comprises a substantially cylindrical or conical slide body for engaging in an end face and the longitudinal axis of the roll product concentric opening of the roll goods and at least a means for coupling the tearing thread with the end plug. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of such a package for the packaging of film roll webs and a method for producing such a package.
  • Film roller conveyors are transported and stored almost exclusively in roll form. For this purpose, the film rolls are wound onto a core roll during production. In the vast majority of cases, these are cardboard core rolls. Core rolls made of plastic are for reasons of practiced environmental protection and because of higher costs, only little used.
  • an outer packaging which is usually made of a flat film.
  • films of polyethylene with material thicknesses between 100 microns and 200 microns.
  • wrapping packaging which are made of a fabric or film tube.
  • film tubes but much space between the packaged product and the packaging material remains so that it does not fit tightly on the packaged. With packaging material lying more closely against the packaged goods, there is the risk that the packaged goods will be damaged during the separation of the packaging material, for example by means of a cutter or knife.
  • the DE 201 21 285 U1 transforms this concept to the effect that the support aids are created by punches or perforations in the material of the outer wrapping layer.
  • DE 201 21 285 U1 also the formation of a carrying aid by a welded into the material of the outer wrapping layer ripcord before. This tear thread can be pulled out through openings in the outer wrapping layer with the finger of a human hand so far that arises in relation to the packaged or transported roll goods a kind of handle or lanyard.
  • the EP 1 798 164 A1 to project a carrying tab circumferentially on the outside of the enclosure. In this case, the carrying tab is so pronounced on the outer end edge of the envelope that such a packaged roll goods tangible with one hand and laterally on the body of the wearer is feasible.
  • the aforementioned approaches may well be a suitable approach for mineral wool rolls because mineral wool has a relatively low specific gravity as compared to its volume.
  • mineral wool has a relatively low specific gravity as compared to its volume.
  • the carrying aids are prone to tearing because the carrying forces to be introduced into the outer wrapping layer become very large.
  • the film tube material of the outer wrapping layer can not absorb these forces indefinitely and therefore tears at the place of greatest force application.
  • only a reinforcement of the film material of the outer wrapping layer would remain, but this is very costly.
  • the pure material costs for the production of the outer wrapping layer have to be taken into account, but also the consequential costs resulting from this over the entire product cycle of the packaging.
  • the increased expense of a thicker, bulkier and heavier packaging film is costly, especially if it has to be returned after use, disposed of or recycled to the recycling.
  • a package for roll goods which as outer wrapping layer only a rectangular single-layer film web - preferably made of polyethylene with a material thickness between 40 microns and 300 microns - whose dimensions are dimensioned such that they in Enveloping the roll goods to be packaged in each case forms a projection in the longitudinal and transverse direction of the roll goods.
  • the supernatant in the longitudinal direction is gathered in a separate operation during the packaging process into a bundle and bagged closed by gluing, welding or tying.
  • the packaged roll goods can then be transported by gripping this end-side bundle.
  • the US 3,215,334 A discloses a single-ply paper packaging for a textile roll with a tearing strip inserted between the paper and the textile roll, wherein the tear-off strip projects beyond the outer border of the paper packaging to form a grip loop. By pulling the tear strip, the packaging material can be separated and stripped from the textile roll.
  • ES 2 378 933 A1 a package for a roll of paper with a perforation placed in the package or a tear tape inserted in the package. By separating at the perforation or by pulling the tear tape, the package can be separated and stripped from the paper roll can be.
  • one of the two free ends of the tear strip may be pinched by a plug into the hollow winding tube of the paper roll while the second end of the tear strip remains free to protrude out of the package.
  • This packaging is designed exclusively for the packaging of paper rolls. Since such paper rolls are stored anyway anyway never in the open air but always in protected environments, it is not significant in this application environment that this packaging along the perforation and in the area of the exposed plug is not waterproof.
  • the field of application of agricultural films entails that the roll goods often have to be stored in the open air or at least in locations that are only insufficiently protected from the weather before they are used.
  • moisture can penetrate through both the open edge of the outer wrapping layer in the longitudinal direction of the roll goods as well as by the shirred and sealed bundles at the longitudinal ends.
  • the moisture accumulates within the outer wrapping layer of the package and also penetrates into the windings of the roll goods. This can lead to damage especially during prolonged storage or exposure times.
  • the core roll which is usually made of cardboard, can be severely affected as a result. In extreme cases, the core role softens so much that the stability of the roll goods is lost.
  • the object of the present invention is thus to provide a package for roll goods, comprising a first, outer wrapping layer of a film material, a tear thread and at least one end plug which concentric a substantially cylindrical or conical slide body for engaging in an end face and the longitudinal axis of the roll goods Opening the roll product comprises and at least one means for coupling the tearing thread with the end plug to provide, which ensures protection of the roll goods from moisture penetration while simplifying the handling of the packaged roll goods.
  • such packaging must not be more expensive than the previously known packaging.
  • the packaging comprises a second, inner wrapping layer of a paper or cardboard material, which separates the roll from the outer wrapping layer as an intermediate layer, wherein the tear-open on such a roll material oriented surface of the inner wrapping Layer is applied so that it cuts through the opening of the package, both the inner wrapping layer and the outer wrapping layer by means of a tear-open.
  • a package solves the objective technical task in several ways.
  • a package is provided, which closely encloses the roll goods or the packaged goods to be packaged and seals to the outside, but at the same time also in a very simple way to open manually.
  • the idea of the tear-off thread mechanically coupled with an end plug makes it possible to provide a homogeneous, self-contained covering which is free of adhesive tapes, engagement openings, perforations, etc.
  • the outer wrapping layer can be designed such that it is largely seamless and therefore impermeable to water.
  • the additional inner wrapping layer serves not only as a carrier material for the tear thread, but also exercises a damping function, which protect the underlying roll goods from mechanical overloads that can act on the outside of the packaging.
  • a damping function which protect the underlying roll goods from mechanical overloads that can act on the outside of the packaging.
  • Sharp edges or sharp stones lead to packaging in accordance with the conventional state of the art quickly damage, which not only limited to the wrapping layer of the packaging, but also penetrate the underlying rolls.
  • a package which is constructed as a two-layer composite of a (with respect to the roll goods or the packaged) inner wrapping layer of a paper or cardboard material which is the carrier of the tearing thread, and an outer wrapping layer of a waterproof film material allows it to optimize the material properties of the casing as a whole.
  • the inner wrapping layer is optimized in terms of stability against mechanical damage
  • the outer wrapping layer is optimized in terms of water resistance.
  • the inventive concept completes this by an easily manageable opening mechanism, which allows the realization of a very close to the role of goods or the packaged enclosing enclosure.
  • the inner wrapping layer is matched substantially dimensionally accurate to the longitudinal extent of the roll goods or the packaged goods.
  • a slight projection in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the roll goods from both sides to about 2 cm is advantageous. After its folding or folding in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the roll goods out of this supernatant serves as edge protection for the front sides of the roll goods.
  • the outer envelope layer has a significant excess in this respect.
  • the resulting supernatant of the outer wrapping layer is clamped by the end plug in the frontal opening of the roll goods. In this way, a seal is also achieved on the front sides of the roll goods. It can be seen that this excess of the outer wrapping layer corresponds in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the roll goods at both ends in about half the diameter of the rolled product. Otherwise, the supernatant would be too small dimension than that it could be clamped by the end plug in the frontal opening of the roll goods.
  • the invention means any kind of tapes with higher strength properties than the composite of inner and outer wrapping layer, which is pulled over its free end and thereby ruptures the wrapping of the packaging.
  • the invention means any type of body which is suitable for engaging in an end face and the longitudinal axis of the roll goods concentric opening of the roll goods and this has a substantially conical or cylindrical drawer body. It goes without saying that the outer diameter of the insert body and the inner diameter of the concentric opening of the roll goods must substantially match, so that a positive connection between the two is possible. Since the roll goods to be packaged with the packaging according to the invention are usually wound up on a core roll, the inner cavity of the core roll forms such an opening concentric with the longitudinal axis of the roll goods.
  • the end plug has on its outer, opposite to the insertion body end a contour that is easily accessible by the human hand. In this way, it is possible to grip the end plug, to pull it out of the cavity of the roll product and to actuate by a subsequent relative movement along the longitudinal extent of the rolls the tearing thread coupled to the end plug, so that the two wrapping layers of the package are severed by means of a tear-open ,
  • Endstopfen invention are provided at both ends of the tear thread or at both ends of the roll goods to be packaged.
  • embodiments which are based on a bag-like preformed casing and provide only one end plug at the open end thereof are also conceivable for the person skilled in the art.
  • the at least one end plug has a carrying handle.
  • the carrying handle can be designed in many different ways. In particular, it makes sense, however, to carry out the carrying handle as an integral part of the contour of the end stopper on its outer end opposite the insert body.
  • the end plug may have at its outer end an angled about 90 ° to its longitudinal axis supernatant, in which a carrying opening in the form of a penetration or the like. is formed.
  • the web surrounding the access opening is thickened and crowned in such a way that it can be easily grasped by a human hand without causing constrictions.
  • Such a handle also improves the operation of the end plug when introducing the Aufr GmbH bainiteses in the packaging according to the invention.
  • the insertion body of an end plug has a self-locking surface structure.
  • the increased friction between the surface of the drawer body and the inner surface of the core roll prevents slipping of the two bodies against each other.
  • This increases the serviceability of the package according to the invention and prevents unintentional withdrawal when the weight of the rolls is to be transferred via the carrying handle of the end stopper.
  • the surface of the drawer body could be provided with roughening particles or a few wedge-shaped elevations - similar in the manner of a screw thread without thread pitch.
  • the end plug is an injection-molded part, such a feature is in any case inexpensive and can be realized without additional production-related expenditure.
  • the inner surface of the core roll may be roughened, which further promotes self-locking of the end plug and effectively supported.
  • the means for coupling the tearing thread with the at least one end plug is designed as a clamping connection by means of a slot opening in the end plug.
  • the slot openings in the end plug extend preferably at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the roll product or to the longitudinal extension of the tear thread, since in this way the best clamping action between slot opening and tear thread can be achieved.
  • an arrangement of the slot openings parallel to the longitudinal extent of the tear thread is conceivable.
  • the slot opening has a contour that deforms under the action of the above-mentioned tensile forces in such a way that the clamping action of its edges on the tear thread is increased. This would be realized for example by a zigzag-shaped contour of the slot opening.
  • the means for coupling the tearing thread with the at least one end stopper can also be designed as a positive crimp connection.
  • the tear-open thread is mechanically connected to the end plug by plastic deformation (for example by squeezing) at its outer end.
  • plastic deformation for example by squeezing
  • Such a connection is manufacturing technology somewhat more complicated than the above-mentioned slot openings into which the tear-open is pinched, since it requires a separate manufacturing step.
  • a positive joint connection is extremely stable and optimal in terms of usability.
  • Other alternatives for coupling the tearing thread to the end plug are also possible, such as e.g. a thermal fusion bonding, provided that they are designed so that they can reliably transmit the forces acting on the end body forces on the tear thread.
  • the outer wrapping layer consists of a stretch film.
  • the stretch film is made of LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene) and has an initial thickness of 25 microns.
  • LLDPE linear low density polyethylene
  • Such stretch films are known from the prior art and have different tear strengths in the transverse and longitudinal direction. Usually, the tensile strengths in the transverse and longitudinal direction in the ratio 3: 2 behave.
  • the invention provides that the stretch film is oriented in relation to the roll goods so that their transverse direction is arranged approximately parallel to the longitudinal extension of the tear thread (and thus also approximately parallel to the longitudinal axis of the roll product).
  • the outer wrapping layer of the packaging according to the invention receives a increased tensile strength in the longitudinal direction, which has an advantageous effect on the mechanical stability of the outer wrapping layer.
  • the seam of the outer wrapping layer is closed by the adhesive properties of the stretch film in the overlapping area.
  • the overlapping layers of the stretch film adhere extremely well to each other, thereby increasing the watertightness of the outer wrapping layer.
  • This effect is advantageously enhanced if the film material is admixed with adhesives which, for example, can be activated by pre-stretching and additionally increase the adhesive effect of the film layers against one another.
  • the adhesive effect of the stretch film also additionally supports the self-locking of the end plug as soon as it clamps the front-side projections of the stretch film in the frontal opening of the roll product.
  • the adhesive effect of the stretch film prevents it from shifting in the vicinity of the tear-open cut induced by the tear thread, thus virtually "avoiding” the tear thread. In this way, a "puffing" of the stretch film in the area of the tear-cut is effectively avoided.
  • the film material of the stretch film color pigments are added to reduce its permeability to the ultraviolet radiation components of sunlight.
  • the tear thread has a roughened surface structure. In this way, the engagement of the tear thread is improved in the material of the wrapper and facilitates the Aufr constitucited.
  • the tear thread made of nylon, which has a sufficiently good tensile strength for severing the two wrapping layers.
  • a tear thread at its free end which is inserted into a slot opening of the end plug, so thickened or clumped by thermal fusion, so that the thickened free end of the tear thread even when applying a tensile load on the tear thread through the slot opening the end plug can be pulled through.
  • the tear thread also made of a metallic material exist, for example in the form of a wire.
  • a metallic material for example in the form of a wire.
