Definitions

  • the invention relates to a cover for food.
  • hot food is not immediately served and consumed after preparation, but packaged in a package, so that the hot food is consumed in another location or heated in the package can be.
  • the warm food releases water vapor, which accumulates in the container and in particular on the lid of the container.
  • the water vapor condenses out and drips back to the warm food in droplet form.
  • the warm food is cooled and softened by the condensed water, giving, for example, crispy hot foods, such as fried French fries, a soft mushy consistency.
  • the food is usually covered by a cover.
  • the steam collects in the cover, which can drip back onto the food or the interior as condensate.
  • a cover for food, in particular for hot food, comprising a covering body for placement over the food and at least one fleece for receiving a water vapor emitted by the food, wherein the covering body is arranged above the food and covers the food, wherein the nonwoven is arranged on the cover body and the fleece prevents a condensed in the liquid state cooled water vapor at reflux in the direction of the food.
  • the cover can be used to ensure that the steam can be absorbed by warm food in a package during transport or during storage, without a condensed water vapor which has cooled in the liquid state dripping onto the food. In this way, the food can be kept warm longer, otherwise a dripping condensate would cool the hot food. Furthermore, the food stays crispy longer because it is not softened by the dripping condensate.
  • the fleece can absorb and store the water vapor. In particular, the fleece can absorb the water vapor from the side facing the food and lead away in the direction of the side applied by the feed and store it inside the fleece so that a condensed water vapor in the liquid state can not flow back or drip again in the direction of the food. The fleece can increase its volume when the liquid is absorbed.
