Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an identification card holder.
  • company ID cards or identification cards in general usually have the format of credit cards standardized around the world.
  • they In daily use, they have to be quickly at hand, for example to pass access controls, identify yourself or - more generally - to read out data stored on the card.
  • Storage containers for several cards and various plastic protective covers for individual cards are known from practice.
  • the font EP 0 286 713 A2 discloses a cassette for receiving a plurality of credit cards and / or account cards which contains a drawer for each card.
  • a spring and a locking means are assigned to each drawer, with the drawer being pushed out of the cassette by the force of the spring as far as a pull-out lock when the lock is released.
  • the font BE 1 018 952 A3 indicates a card holder consisting of a modular box. This is formed by a device that makes it possible to change the volume and thus adapt the box according to the number of cards desired by the user.
  • the device comprises a set of frames that are mounted one after the other in order to be able to adjust the desired volume.
  • the card holder includes a slide mechanism that allows movement between a position inside and outside the housing of each of the cards, the slide mechanism comprising a set of drawers that are mounted so that they can move inside and outside the housing. Each of the drawers is provided with a loading space which is arranged for inserting a card.
  • Another card holder is in Scripture WO 2010/137975 A2 described. This includes a housing that is closely matched to a stack of at least three cards. The card holder has a lateral return arm which, when actuated, issues all cards at the same time. It is described as disadvantageous to use an individual compartment for each card.
  • the aforementioned identification card holder or identification card holder or holder for identification cards comprises a housing with two broad sides, two first narrow sides and two second narrow sides.
  • one of the first narrow sides has at least two insertion openings as the insertion side, each with an insertion.
  • the slots are arranged parallel to the broad sides in the housing.
  • sliders are arranged as a slide side on at least one of the second narrow sides. These each have a return arm in an associated slot, which is designed such that, when the associated slide is actuated, it pushes a card inserted into the slot in the direction of the slot side.
  • the identity card holder can in principle accommodate any number of cards, in particular company identity cards and / or access cards, of a format for which it is designed. These are preferably cards in the globally standardized credit card format, namely the ID-1 format of the ISO / IEC 7810 standard.
  • This format includes e.g. B. common bank cards, credit cards, debit cards, driver's licenses, the electronic identity card and the like.
  • the housing is flat and cuboid. Accordingly, the two broad sides, the two first narrow sides and the two second narrow sides are opposite each other. One of the first narrow sides, namely the insert side, is open towards the insertions.
  • the slides can also be arranged opposite one another on the two second narrow sides. In a preferred embodiment, they are only located on one of the two second narrow sides. They are preferably arranged in a region of the slide side which essentially adjoins the first narrow side which is opposite the insertion side. You can move parallel to the second narrow sides relative to it. When actuated by a user, the movement takes place in a direction towards and away from the insertion side. During this movement, the slides are guided in guide rails, for example. With their rigidly connected, hook-like retrieval arm, they grip in the assigned slot behind an inserted card. For this purpose, the return arm is preferably L-shaped and one leg extends a little way into the insert. The slide side has suitable openings for this. "Behind" refers to the side of the card facing away from the insertion opening. In contrast to the prior art, the card is not brought out with the aid of a drawer-like slider or a drawer, but by means of the space-saving return arm of the slider.
  • “Assigned” or “associated” here preferably also means a spatial association in addition to the functional assignment.
  • This means that the slide is preferably arranged essentially at the same height on the second narrow side at which the slide-in unit is also located in the interior of the housing. In this way, the operator senses intuitively, haptically and visually, which card is issued when the slide is operated.
  • an identification card holder has only one slot.
  • the identity card holder is advantageously designed simply with just one compartment.
  • an identification card holder according to the invention comprises at least two slots, particularly preferably three slots. With the particularly preferred number of three slots, according to the invention, the compact accommodation of the cards is particularly advantageously combined with the ease of use of the sliders, as will be explained in more detail below.
  • the slides are arranged very closely next to one another while maintaining the direct spatial assignment to the slots. This would make it difficult for a user with a simple design of the slide, targeted z. B. to operate the middle slide. Therefore, in an advantageous embodiment of an identity card holder with three inserts, two actuating slides assigned to the outer inserts as outer actuating slides each have a recess on their adjoining edges. H. in a central area defined jointly by the two recesses, the third actuating slide assigned to the central insert is arranged.
  • the two outer slides therefore preferably adjoin one another in end regions, but have the recesses for the middle slide towards their common center.
  • the middle slide is arranged at the merging of the two recesses of the outer slides and is preferably slightly raised compared to the outer slides. This facilitates targeted actuation of a single slide even with a compact arrangement of the slide-in units.
  • the slides can be displaced by a displacement length and the recess is at least twice as long as the displacement length.
  • the shift length describes the length by which a slide can be shifted. At the same time, it also defines the length by which an inserted card can be pushed out.
  • the middle slide can be shifted within the recess by a displacement length in the direction of the insertion opening in order to issue a card without the outer slide being actuated at the same time.
  • the recess provides the space so that the outer slides can each also be actuated separately by a shifting length in the direction of the insertion opening for outputting a previously inserted card, without moving the middle slide at the same time.
  • the slots can be designed, for example, in the form of guide rails which are arranged on the opposite, inward-facing surfaces of the second narrow sides and in which an inserted card is held on both sides.
  • a partition wall is preferably arranged between each two insertions.
  • the cards are stored separately from one another in separate compartments. Improper insertion of the card, for example in two guide rails that do not belong together, is avoided. In addition, this prevents dirt from getting into the ID card holder, since potential openings in the spaces between the cards are taken up by the partition walls.
  • the partition walls advantageously increase the stability of the identity card holder. Compared to the prior art, a more stable identity card holder results according to the invention with the same volume, since the cards are only conveyed out by means of the space-saving return arm and not - as previously known - with the aid of a drawer.
  • an identification card holder In order to prevent the inserted card from falling out, in an advantageous embodiment of an identification card holder according to the invention at least one clamping element holds the card inserted during operation in the slot.
  • the clamping element can, for example, be designed as a clamping strap with the principle of action of a simple leaf spring.
  • the clamping tab is so elastic that it is stretched when the card is inserted and thereby presses the card with a certain force, for example against a partition or housing wall, so that the card is held there with a force fit.
  • the clamping elements are each formed on the partition walls. Accordingly, in certain areas, due to their shape and material, the partition walls must be suitable to act as a clamping element, preferably as a clamping lug. This is achieved by adding an area of the partition, from which the clamping lug is to be formed, is delimited on three sides by a recess.
  • the tab formed in this way preferably also has a bead at the end with which it presses an inserted card against the partition wall or housing wall opposite it.
  • the slide can be displaced by a displacement length of approximately 1.2 cm.
  • a card inserted into a slot can thus also be pushed out of the slot by about 1.2 cm.
  • the free area of the card available as a result is sufficient to be able to conveniently grip the card and remove it from the identity card holder.
  • the first narrow sides are shorter than the second narrow sides. This has the advantage that the insertion openings located on one of the first narrow sides can be kept as small as possible and the cards contained are protected as well as possible.
  • the outer slides are preferably essentially L-shaped in cross-section and each encompass an edge, that is to say an L-leg, around a housing edge of the slide side, which connects the slide side with a broad side.
  • this configuration has the advantage that the encompassing slides can not only be operated on the slide side, but also in each case also on the broad side, around the edge of which they grip.
  • an identification card holder has at least one, particularly preferably two, fastening means which are preferably arranged adjacent to the insertion side and / or to the second narrow side, which is opposite the slide side.
  • the fastening elements are, for example, as an eyelet or Loop designed to attach the identity card holder to a strap, hook or the like. Due to the advantageous arrangement of the fastening means, the identity card holder can be aligned both vertically and horizontally, depending on the identity card format, for the intended use.
  • the housing preferably has transparent visible surfaces, so that information can be read that is displayed on a card inserted during operation.
  • optical information on the readable side or the readable sides of the inserted card (s) can be recorded directly without having to remove the card from the identity card holder.
  • the visible surfaces are preferably formed on the broad sides, since this is where the largest surface is available for the information to be displayed.
  • the slides each engage with engagement elements in guide rails of the housing assigned to them.
  • Housing is understood here to mean all elements of the identity card holder that are immovable relative to one another.
  • the guide rails can therefore be arranged on the outside, but also on elements of the partition walls. Noses, rails or other projections or the like formed on the slides, for example, which correspond to the guide rails of the housing, serve as engagement elements.
  • the slide or its engagement element (s) can engage positively in the guide rail in a first direction.
  • the slides are particularly preferably at the same time also guided into the associated slide-in unit by engagement of their return arm, the engagement perpendicular to the first direction being positive-locking. Only a lateral degree of freedom remains via this two-dimensional form fit and linear guidance results.
  • FIG 1 is an example of a perspective view of an identity card holder 1a with an insert 9a.
  • the identification card holder 1a is preferably a company identification holder 1a. It has a flat cuboid housing which comprises two flat broad sides 2, 3, two short first narrow sides 4, 5 and two long second narrow sides 6, 7, which are opposite one another in pairs.
  • One of the short narrow sides 4, 5 is designed as an insertion side 4 and has a slot-shaped insertion opening 8a.
  • the insert 9a is dimensioned so that it can hold a conventional identification card, in particular a credit or identification card.
  • a slide 10a On one of the long narrow sides, the slide side 6, a slide 10a is arranged and can be displaced by a displacement length L between a front stop edge 17 and a rear stop edge 18.
  • the U-shaped slide 10a engages positively on both broad sides 2, 3 in a guide rail 16a and in the insert 8a, so that the displacement is limited to a movement in the direction of the insertion side 4 or away from the insertion side 4.
  • an L-shaped return arm 11a is formed (shown here in dashed lines because it is covered by the broad side 2), which extends with one leg a little perpendicular to the slide side 6 inward into the insert 9a.
  • Two fastening means 15 in the form of eyelets 15 are formed on a broad side 2.
  • One eyelet 15 is arranged centrally on an edge of the broad side 2 pointing towards the insertion side 4, the other eyelet 15 is arranged centrally on an edge of the broad side 2 pointing away from the slide side 6.
  • a suitable card K ie a card K that matches the dimensions of the insert 9a
  • the card K can thus be safely stored in the identity card holder 1a.
  • a large part of both broad sides 2, 3 consists of a transparent material, so that optical information located on the card K can advantageously also be seen or, if necessary, automatically captured while the card K is in the identification card holder 1a.
  • the return arm 11a formed on the slide 10a engages behind the card K and pushes it a little way out of the ID card holder 1a until the slide 10a is stopped by the front stop edge 17.
  • FIG 2 shows an example of a perspective view of an identification card holder 1b according to the invention with two slots 9b, 9c.
  • This identity card holder 1b is basically similar to the identity card holder 1a from Figure 1 designed.
  • the two inserts 9b and 9c are now arranged in parallel between the broad sides 2, 3. In doing so, they are separated by a flat partition wall 13 which extends parallel to them and between them.
  • the insertion opening 8b leads to the insertion 9b on the insertion side 4 and the insertion opening 8c, which is also arranged on the insertion side 4, leads to the insertion 9c.
  • a slide 10b is assigned to insert 9b and a slide 10c is assigned to insert 9c.
  • the sliders 10b, 10c When actuated, the sliders 10b, 10c can, as already described above, a card K introduced during operation, each with the aid of its return arm 11b, 11c (shown here with dashed lines, since the return arms 11b, 11c from the broad side 2 are covered) out of the associated insertion opening 8b, 8c. All slides 10b, 10c have common stop edges, the front stop edge 17 and the rear stop edge 18.
  • the slides 10b, 10c each grip as rounded angle profiles around an edge between the slider side 6 and the adjacent broad side 2, 3 their return arm 11b, 11c into the associated insert 9b, 9c and via a guide rail 16b arranged on the associated broad side 2, 3 (the guide rail 16c is arranged mirror-symmetrically to the center plane on the underside and cannot be seen here.
  • the slide 10c engages in it .) the slides 10b and 10c are guided in a linear displacement movement.
  • FIG 3 is an exemplary perspective view of an identification card holder 1c according to the invention - similar to the identification card holder 1b from FIG Figure 2 - Shown with three inserts 9d, 9e, 9f which are arranged parallel to and between the broad sides 2, 3.
  • each of the three inserts 9d, 9e, 9f has an insertion opening 8d, 8e, 8f and a slide 10d, 10e, 10f with a return arm 11d, 11e, 11f (shown here in dashed lines because the return arms 11d, 11e, 11f are separated from Broadside 2 are covered) assigned.
  • the adjacent slide-in units 9d and 9e are separated by a first partition wall 13a, the slide-in units 9e and 9f are separated by a second partition wall 13b.
  • the two outer slides 10d, 10f engage here at an angle each around an edge from the slide side 6 to the adjacent broad side 2, 3 and are analogous to FIG Figure 2 guided in guide rails 16d, 16f on the associated broad sides 2, 3.
  • the outer slides 10d, 10f each have a trough-shaped indentation 12d, 12f or a cutout on their adjoining edges.
  • the indentations 12d, 12f complement each other to form an elongated hole in which an actuating pin of the middle slide 10e is arranged.
  • This elongated hole is approximately twice as long as the displacement length L.
  • the two outer slides 12d, 12f grip over the middle slide 12d and thus hold it in a form-fitting manner in the insert 9e. It is linearly guided in an inner guide rail 16e behind the outer slides 12d, 12f and has a separate stop in this guide.
  • the middle slide can also be displaced by a displacement length L in this guide.
  • all cards can be easily removed by an operator, as already described above.
  • two cutting planes S1 and S2 are drawn, which indicate the position of the sections for the perspective sectional views of the Figures 4a, 4b and 5 should clarify.
  • FIG. 11 shows a perspective sectional view of the identification card holder 1c from FIG Figure 3 .
  • the identity card holder 1c was cut along the cutting plane S1. What is therefore shown is essentially an insight into the insert 9d.
  • the slides 10d, 10e, 10f are all in the holding position HP, that is to say at the rear stop edge 18.
  • the return arm 11d belonging to the slide 10d is thus arranged on the side 5 opposite the slide-in side 4.
  • Two clamping elements 14 or holding elements are designed and arranged in one of the partition walls 13.
  • the clamping elements 14 in the form of clamping lugs 14 are each set off on three sides by a recess 19 from the first partition 13a.
  • a bead is formed on its free end pointing away from the insertion side 4.
  • a clamping element 14 is arranged with the bead facing the broad side 2 adjacent and in the center of the slide side 6. The bead and thus the free end of the clamping lug 14 is pushed away from the broad side 2 by a card K introduced during operation. Due to the spring action of the clamping lug, this results in a restoring force with which the clamping lug 14 presses the inserted card K towards the broad side and against it, so that the card K is held in the slot 9d with a force fit.
  • the other holding element 14 is arranged with the bead facing the insert 9e (not shown here) adjacent and in the middle of the long narrow side 7, which is opposite the slide side 6. A card K inserted into the slot 9e is thereby pressed against the partition wall to the slot 9f, analogously to the description above, and is thus held in the slot 9e.
  • Figure 4b is the same view as in Figure 4a shown, however, a card K introduced into the slot 9d is also shown here and the slide 10d is in the eject position AP. It is accordingly compared to Figure 4a shifted towards the insertion side 4 by the displacement length L and touches the stop edge 17. With the help of the return arm 11d, the card K held in the insert 9d was pushed in the direction of the insertion side 4 so that it protrudes a bit from the ID card holder 1c and is now removed by an operator can be.
  • FIG. 11 shows a further sectional view of the identification card holder 1c from FIG Figure 3 . This is cut here along the cutting plane S2 with a view in the direction of the insertion openings 8d, 8e, 8f (hidden here).
  • the arrangement of the partition walls 13a, 13b with the clamping elements 14 is shown in detail. While the partition 13a holds cards inserted into the slots 9d and 9f during operation with its clamping elements 14 as described above, the partition 13b with its clamping element 14 provides means for holding a card K inserted during operation in the slot 9f.
  • the partitions 13a, 13b also have spacers 24 on their edges adjoining the second narrow sides 6, 7.
  • the spacers 24 are extensions of the partition walls 13a, 13b, which are parallel to the second narrow sides 6, 7 and are used to define the distance between the partition walls 13a, 13b from one another and also from the broad sides 2, 3. With the aid of the spacers 24, the partition walls 13a, 13b are introduced into the outer housing in a form-fitting manner during manufacture.
  • the spacers 24 arranged on the slide side 6 in the region of the slide 10d, 10e, 10f, centrally between the broad sides 2, 3, provide a recess with a rectangular cross section, which serves as a guide rail 16e for the middle slide 10e.
  • the outer housing i.e. consisting of the broad sides 2, 3, the first narrow sides 4, 5 and the second narrow sides 6, 7, is preferably made in two parts, so that only the slide or slides 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d, 10e, 10f and the partition walls 13, 13a, 13b may have to be used.
  • the housing includes in the Figure 5 a lower part 22, comprising the broad side 2, and an upper part 23, comprising the broad side 3.
  • the narrow sides 4, 5, 6, 7 are allocated approximately half to the lower part 22 and half to the upper part 23 along a separating edge 20. With the exception of engagement elements 21, the separating edge 20 runs along a sectional plane which extends centrally and parallel between the broad sides 2, 3.
  • the individual parts are preferably made of plastic in an injection molding process.
  • the slides can also be arranged on the two second narrow sides and / or a total of more than three inserts and slides can be present.
  • the use of the indefinite article “a” or “an” does not exclude the possibility that the relevant features can also be present several times.
  • the terms “arrangement” and “device” do not exclude the fact that the component in question consists of several interacting sub-components which, if necessary, can also be spatially distributed.
