Definitions

  • the invention relates to a toilet with a toilet bowl, a toilet seat set and a mounting device for reversibly detachable attachment of the toilet seat set to the toilet bowl according to the preamble of independent patent claim 1.
  • Such mounting devices include, for example, a connecting section that can be connected in a fixed manner to a toilet seat set, a rod section that is arranged on the connecting section and that can be passed at least partially through a mounting opening of a toilet bowl, a deformable blocking part that is attached to the rod section at a distance from the connecting section, the connecting section and the blocking part can be arranged on opposite sides of the mounting opening when the rod section is passed at least partially through the mounting opening of the toilet bowl, and an actuating lever which has a clamping position in which the blocking part is deformed in such a way that it cannot be passed through the mounting opening, and a released position in which the blocking part is sufficiently little deformed to be passable through the mounting hole of the toilet bowl. They can be used for reversibly detachable attachment of the toilet seat set to the toilet bowl.
  • Sitting toilets are now widely used in sanitary facilities.
  • Such stool toilets include, for example, a ceramic toilet bowl and a toilet seat set.
  • the toilet bowl usually has an upper opening with a rim delimiting this, a flush for cleaning the inside of the toilet bowl and at a lower end of the toilet bowl designed drain.
  • the toilet seat set is typically equipped with a seat ring for covering the rim of the toilet bowl, a lid for closing the opening of the toilet bowl, and a hinge.
  • the toilet seat set is mounted on the toilet bowl at its hinge at a rear portion of the rim so that the seat ring and the lid can be folded up backwards.
  • toilet bowls In order to mount the toilet seat set on the toilet bowl, toilet bowls often have one or rather two assembly openings in the rear area of the edge or at the rear edge of their openings. Many designs are known as assembly devices, which on the one hand are connected to the toilet seat set and on the other hand can be fastened to the toilet bowl via the assembly openings of the toilet bowl. For example, plastic or metal devices that clip or snap into the mounting holes are common. Such mounting devices are often relatively unstable so that inadvertent and undesired removal of the toilet seat set from the toilet bowl can occur. In addition, regular cleaning is difficult, especially in that zone where the toilet bowl and the toilet seat set meet in the hinge region. This problem is accentuated where a vague public uses the toilet, such as in restaurants, hospitals and especially in public toilet facilities.
  • an assembly device includes a lever and a rod-shaped insert element.
  • the rod-shaped insert element is connected at its one longitudinal end to the lever via an eccentric element and at its other longitudinal end to an elastomer tube.
  • the insert element is passed through one of the assembly openings from above until the elastomer tube lies on the underside of the rim of the toilet bowl.
  • the lever is tilted from a vertical position to a horizontal position, the insert element being pulled upwards via the eccentric element.
  • the elastomer tube is clamped and deformed between the insert element and a blocking element so that it no longer fits through the assembly opening. In this position, the mounting device is attached to the toilet bowl.
  • a disadvantage of the mounting device described above is that it fastens the toilet seat set in a fixed position and orientation on the bowl. As a result, it can happen that the seat ring of the toilet seat set is not flush with the edge of the toilet bowl, but protrudes slightly at an angle. In addition, with such mounting devices, the toilet seat set must be slightly in front of it so that the lever behind it can be operated. This requires either a narrow construction in the joint area of the toilet seat set or a wide rear edge of the toilet bowl.
  • the EP 0480534 A1 discloses a toilet according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the object of the following invention is therefore to propose a toilet with a mounting device with which a toilet seat fitting can be aligned in relation to the toilet bowl or its position on the toilet bowl can be adjusted.
  • the mounting device should preferably make it possible for no special precautions to be taken on an edge of the toilet bowl or on the toilet seat set so that the mounting device can be operated.
  • toilet is understood to mean a sanitary seat device for accommodating bodily excretions such as, in particular, faeces and urine.
  • the term is used synonymously with the terms “loo”, “closet”, “abort” or “toilet”.
  • Toilets often include a toilet bowl made of ceramic such as porcelain, a flushing device for flushing the toilet bowl, and a seat ring made of plastic or wood, for example, for covering a rim of the toilet bowl.
  • the term “reversibly detachable” refers to the fact that the toilet seat set can be detached from the toilet bowl several times or over and over again.
  • the mounting device can be provided for the purpose of mounting the toilet seat set on the toilet bowl and releasing it again or dismounting it as desired.
  • the toilet seat set typically includes a seat ring of the type described above and a folding mechanism such as one or more hinges. When the toilet seat set is attached to the toilet bowl, the seat ring can be folded up and down onto the toilet bowl via the folding mechanism.
  • the toilet seat set can also include a toilet cover, which can be folded in relation to the toilet bowl via the folding mechanism analogously to the seat ring.
  • the toilet lid serves to cover the toilet bowl or its opening for hygienic reasons.
  • the toilet seat set is attached to the toilet bowl with a mounting kit comprising two mounting devices.
  • the toilet seat fitting can be secured in a sufficiently stable and non-rotatable manner.
  • the term "stationary" in relation to the connection of the rod section and the connecting section may refer to a substantially immovable arrangement of the two parts with respect to one another.
  • the rod section can be connected to the connecting section in a stationary manner in such a way that it can neither be tilted nor shifted in relation to the connecting section.
  • twisting of the rod section in relation to the connecting section in particular about the longitudinal axis of the rod section, can still be possible.
  • the rod section can also only be rotated in the clamped position by applying an appropriate force, for example by means of the actuating lever.
  • the term "fixed” may refer to the toilet seat set not being able to be removed from the connection section. However, it can still be tiltable or foldable or rotatable in relation to the connecting section.
  • rotational in the context of the invention refers to a connection in which the connected parts are twisted together. They can be flexible for other movements such as a longitudinal movement.
  • the mounting device can allow the toilet seat set to be efficiently sufficiently fixed to the toilet bowl is attached. In particular, it can thus be ensured that the toilet seat set can adequately withstand shearing.
  • standards such as those published by the German Institute for Standardization define shearing forces to which toilet seat sets on toilets must be able to be exposed without being adversely affected. For example, standards are known in which these shear forces are set at 300 Newtons. Such Safety-relevant requirements can be efficiently met by the assembly device according to the invention.
  • the rod section protrudes from the connecting section at a preferably identical, predefined angle, it can be achieved that it is precisely aligned in a predefined manner. For example, it can be easily positioned in a vertical position and relatively easily inserted into the mounting hole of the toilet bowl. As a result, in the released position it can only be displaced along the connecting section. If the mounting device is inserted as intended into the mounting opening of the toilet bowl, but is still in the released position, this can ensure that the connecting section and together with it the toilet seat fitting can be displaced along the toilet bowl and in particular along the upper edge of the toilet bowl. This allows the toilet seat set to be accurately positioned and aligned.
  • the actuating lever is operated manually and the assembly device is moved to the clamping position.
  • the blocking part is deformed in such a way that it no longer fits through the installation opening of the toilet bowl.
  • the blocking part can be made of a thermoplastic material or a polyurethane, for example. In this clamping position, the toilet seat set is firmly connected to the toilet bowl on the one hand and is positioned and aligned exactly on it on the other hand.
  • the connecting section preferably comprises a substantially planar support surface with a guide slot, the rod section protruding through the support surface through the guide slot.
  • the bearing surface may be arranged to rest on the rim of the toilet bowl when the rod section is passed through the mounting hole. This allows the toilet seat set to rest cleanly and precisely on the toilet bowl.
  • the guide slot allows the toilet seat set to be displaced to a certain extent, so that the toilet seat set can be positioned and aligned efficiently.
  • the mounting device preferably comprises a rod section sleeve which extends in a rotationally fixed manner from the guide slot of the support surface of the connecting section, the rod section protruding through the rod section sleeve and being rotatable in it.
  • a metal pipe or pipe segment for example, can be used as the rod section sleeve.
  • the rod section sleeve With a suitable configuration of its one longitudinal end, the rod section sleeve can be non-rotatable with respect to the guide slot and thus with respect to the connecting section, but can nevertheless be moved or shifted along the slot.
  • the longitudinal end can have an asymmetrical or elongated shape, so that the longitudinal end lies in the guide slot without being able to be twisted in it.
  • the rod section sleeve allows the rod section to be guided for longitudinal movement and rotational movement about the longitudinal axis.
  • a grid is preferably configured on the support surface of the connecting section.
  • the detent allows the rod section and possibly also the rod section sleeve to be moved in stages on the connecting section. In addition, unintentional movement of the rod section in the clamped position can be avoided.
  • the mounting device preferably comprises a seal which is arranged on the bearing surface of the connection section.
  • the seal lies between the connecting section and the toilet bowl or its edge and seals this area. This can prevent moisture and/or dirt from getting into this area and, for example, through the installation opening of the toilet bowl.
  • the rod section preferably has a longitudinal axis and the actuating lever is connected to the rod section in a rotationally fixed manner, the actuating lever being rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the rod section from the released position into the clamping position.
  • Operating the actuating lever results in the rod section being rotated or rotated about its longitudinal axis.
  • the actuating lever can therefore be operated efficiently via a horizontal rotary movement. This makes it possible, among other things, to arrange the actuating lever in a space-saving and hidden manner. For example, it can be between the toilet seat set and the toilet bowl and from the outside be bad or not visible.
  • a horizontally rotatable operating lever makes it possible that the assembly device does not have to be set back in relation to the toilet seat set.
  • Such a horizontally movable actuating lever and the associated clamping mechanism can also be used in embodiments of assembly devices in which the rod section cannot be displaced on the connecting section.
  • the assembly device comprises a pivot pin connected non-rotatably to the rod section and a sliding pin non-rotatably connected to the rod section sleeve and axially movable on the rod section sleeve, the blocking part being arranged on the rod section sleeve and the sliding bolt between the pivot pin and the blocking part.
  • the pivot bolt can be rotated in relation to the sliding bolt by rotating the rod section, for example by means of the actuating lever.
  • the sliding bolt in turn, can thus be moved away from and towards the pivot bolt along the slug sleeve.
  • the blocking part can be squeezed or put under pressure via this axial movement of the pivot pin.
  • Suitable means can be provided for this purpose, for example on the rotary and sliding bolts, which bring about a longitudinal movement of the sliding bolt when the rotary bolt rotates.
  • the pivot bolt preferably has an outer contact surface facing the sliding bolt and the sliding bolt has an inner contact surface facing the pivot bolt, the outer contact surface of the pivot bolt and the inner contact surface of the sliding bolt being at an identical acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the rod section.
  • the outer contact surface and the inner contact surface have changing acute angles to the longitudinal axis of the rod section.
  • they can be designed to correspond in a spiral shape in a region in the direction of the circumference of the pivot bolt and the sliding bolt.
  • pivot bolt and the sliding bolt can each have a central bore, so that the contact surfaces are each formed only in an edge area or in the area in the direction of the circumference.
  • the pivot bolt and the sliding bolt can thus bear against one another at the inclined inner and outer contact surfaces.
  • the inner contact surface of the sliding bolt and the outer contact surface of the rotary bolt preferably lie flat against one another in the released position of the assembly device. If the pivot bolt and the sliding bolt are rotated relative to one another by operating the actuating lever, the pivot bolt and the sliding bolt are pushed away from one another along the inclined contact surfaces. As a result, the sliding bolt is moved along the rod section sleeve in the direction of the blocking part, as a result of which the blocking part is pinched and deformed. In particular, the blocking part can thus form a bead and increase its radius, so that it can no longer be moved through the assembly opening.
  • a spacer is disposed between the blocking member and the connecting portion on the rod portion sleeve.
  • the spacer can ensure that the blocking part is on the opposite side of the mounting hole of the toilet bowl than the connecting portion when the mounting jig is inserted into the mounting hole.
  • the spacer can be at least as long as the rim of the toilet bowl is thick or powerful.
  • a height between the toilet bowl and an upper side of the toilet seat set is preferably at most 4 cm or at most 3.5 cm in a closed position.
  • the toilet has the mounting device located below the toilet seat set when the toilet seat set is in a closed position.
  • the assembly device can be protected and covered.
  • the toilet preferably comprises two identical mounting devices which are arranged laterally next to one another.
  • the two assembly devices possibly together with other identical assembly devices, can form such an assembly set. With such a number of assembly devices or an assembly set, it can be achieved that the toilet seat set is fastened in a sufficiently stable and non-rotatable manner.
