Definitions
- the present invention is in the field of structures, especially of habitable buildings or buildings that serve presentation or exhibition purposes. More particularly, the present invention relates to a building constructed in the general shape of an igloo.
- igloo is a building constructed of ice or snow, with a general dome shape.
- "igloo” is an Inuktitut word and generally means “dwelling” and includes next to Schneehaus, Qarmaq, Zelt u.
- the igloo of the Eskimos has essentially served its purpose since the 1950s. With a few exceptions, the Eskimos today live in settlement houses and during winter stays in the countryside in wooden cabins (so-called "cabins"). The Eskimos use the igloo today mostly as a refuge when they are surprised, such as on a hunting trip, by weather changes.
- snow blocks are required, which are cut out of the snow cover with a snow knife or a snow saw in the immediate vicinity of the planned building site.
- the parts After cutting the snow, the parts must be about 40 cm high, 60 cm wide, 50 cm deep (weight about 40 kg) and bevelled in addition, so that the rings of the snow blocks upwards become narrower and form a dome.
- the blocks are successively piled up in a tapered spiral and cut to size with the snow knife. The diameter is reduced steadily until the dome is closed. Finally, one or two windows made of bare ice sheets (eg pieces of ice from a nearby lake) are used to lighten up the interior. After completion, the entrance area is dug as a wind and cold trap and overgrown with snow blocks (WIKIPEDIA).
- an object of the present invention is to provide a building that provides a living space as well as a practice room or a space for wellness purposes, which can also serve presentation or exhibition purposes and as space in the space within existing Building is used, therefore, a building that is relatively universally applicable.
- Another object of the invention is to provide a building in the general shape of an igloo, which can be created inexpensively with little effort.
- Yet another object is to provide a building in the general shape of an igloo, which can be inexpensively made of different materials depending on the purpose of the application, for example of materials that ensure a remarkably effective sound insulation.
- the invention primarily provides a building of general igloo shape, which is made of uniformly shaped modules, due to connecting edges of adjacent modules complementary side edges and a base ring, in which the modules are inserted without the need of using tools for igloo-dome shape are fauxhegbar.
- the identically formed modules have the shape of an isosceles trapezium, which is bent about its two base sides in a radial plane of the body curved central longitudinal axis such that the composite modules give the typical dome shape of an igloo.
- the base ring has a closed circular shape and is formed as a substantially U-shaped profile part.
- the igloo-shaped structure according to the invention is provided to increase its internal volume with a cylindrical base, which adjoins the lower edge of its dome-shaped base body and is received in the base ring.
- the trapezoidal modules subsequent to the wider bottom, integrally formed thereon include cylindrically curved cylinder segments having parallel, circular upper and lower edges of identical radius of curvature, corresponding to the radius of curvature of the wider underside of the trapezoidal module and the circular one, respectively Base ring and with parallel straight side edges, which are formed in the same manner complementary as connecting edges of adjacent modules as the side edges of the modules.
- the construction according to the invention made of the curved trapezoidal modules has an open upper end in the form of a circumferential circular edge, which is preferably covered by a dome end cap, which is placed on this edge.
- a circumferential circular edge and the edge of the dome end cap are designed to be complementary for a tight connection.
- the Dome end cap placed by means of spacer elements on circumferentially circular edge to provide a forced ventilation for the interior of the building.
- the building modules and the dome end cap can be made of different materials, such as plastic or a plastic composite material, which is internally filled with an insulating material.
- Plastic structures have the advantage that the building modules are relatively lightweight, and that the structure can be broken down if necessary easily and created elsewhere.
- a preferred alternative embodiment provides as a material for the building modules and the dome cap technical gypsum or other environmentally friendly building material, such as a building material based on pumice powder.
- This building material forms the core of the modules and is disguised after assembly of the modules to the finished igloo, for example, filled at the joints and then covered with paint. This provides the advantage of a closed building inside and outside and a remarkably good sound insulation.
- the modules may include a network of electrically conductive wires, which net extends to the edges of each module to form a closed Faraday cage.
- the dome end cap contains a corresponding wire netting insert.
- a sliding door is provided for access to the igloo-shaped structure according to the invention, which runs on upper and lower guide rails and is arranged instead of one of the igloo modules on the building.
- these guide rails can be provided on the outside of the base ring or on the exterior of the building skin.
- the sliding door similar to a board door of a commercial aircraft be slidably mounted so that it comes to rest in its closed position a position within the igloo dome outline. In any case, the door should close the building in its closed position tight, especially light and soundproof.
- a door seal made of felt, virgin wool or rubber profile is used.
- the building 1 has the shape of a typical igloos, which, as shown in the introduction of snow and / or Eiblöcken created a historic Eskimobehausung embodies.
- the building 10 comprises a dome-shaped basic body 11 which comprises a door opening 13, which can be closed by a sliding door 12, and a dome opening, which in FIG Fig. 1 and 2 is closed by a dome end cap 14.
- Fig. 1 is the sliding door 12 in a position closing the door opening
- Fig. 2 shows the sliding door 12 in its open position releasing the door opening.
- the dome-shaped base body 11 of its general dome shape is open according to the bottom side and there has a circular peripheral bottom edge 15, with which the base body 11 engages in the open top groove of a likewise circular connecting ring 16 which has a U-shaped, upwardly open cross-sectional profile ( Fig. 5 ), is received in the lower edge 15 of the base body 11 in the press fit.
- An exemplary design of the dome end cap 14, with which the upper dome opening of the base body 1 is closed, is below with reference Fig. 6 in terms of ensuring a forced ventilation of the interior of the structure 10 and its connection to the main body 11 explained in more detail.
- the sliding door 12 is suspended in the region of its upper horizontal edge by means of sliding or rolling elements in an upper guide rail 17 which is inserted or incorporated into the outside of the base body 11, and it engages in the region of its lower horizontal edge in a lower guide rail 18, which is fixedly mounted on the outside of the connecting ring 16. More specifically, in the region of the upper edge of the sliding door 12 inwardly projecting, laterally spaced-apart sliding elements are provided, of which in Figure 5 the sliding element 20 located near the one side edge 19 of the sliding door 12 is shown, which, together with the other sliding elements, not shown, engages in the upper guide rail designed as a hollow profile via a slot through which the hollow profile opens to the inside of the sliding door 12.
- sliding bearing which comprises laterally spaced sliding elements, of which in Figure 5 the lying near the one side edge 19 sliding element 21 is shown, which engages with the other sliding elements, not shown, in the upwardly open as U-shaped hollow profile and is slidably engaged with the bottom thereof.
- the sliding elements are replaceable by wheels.
- An essential feature of the main body 11 of the igloo-shaped structure 10 relates to its subdivision into segments or modules. This segmentation goes off Fig. 2 by vertical Strichlierungen and is in the plan view of Fig. 3 more detailed. Accordingly, the example includes in Fig. 3 illustrated embodiment of the structure nine modules or segments, of which eight segments 22-29 are identical, while the ninth segment is represented by the sliding door 12 in its closed position and a subsequent to the upper edge of this door door panel 12a, which adjoins the joins the upper edge of the sliding door 12 and extends to the upper edge of the base body 11, and that completes the sliding door 12 to the ninth module 30, whose shape corresponds to that of the modules 22-29.
- the identically formed modules 22-30 each have the shape of an isosceles trapezium, which is bent about its two base sides in a radial plane of the body curved central longitudinal axis such that the composite modules give the typical dome shape of an igloo.
- the bend is such that the lower base side or the lower edge of each module defines a circular segment such that the thus defined common lower edge - corresponding to the lower edge 15 of the main body 11 - joined together as intended forms a closed circle with a radius, the corresponds to the radius of the connecting ring 16, so that the assembled base modules 11 assembled modules 22-30 are positively inserted into the connecting ring.
- the bend is such that the upper base side or the upper edge of each module defines a circular segment such that the common upper edge defined by it - corresponding to the upper edge of the main body 11 - forms a closed circle with a radius according to the intended purpose Substantially corresponds to the radius of the dome end cap 14, so that the joined body 22-30 defining the base body 11 are connectable to the dome end cap.
- the modules extend with their upper edges in receptacles of the dome end cap 14.
- the receptacles are each in the form of a compartment which ensures a stable, for example, a positive or positive reception of the respective module in the region of its upper edge.
- two laterally adjoining modules 27 and 28, which are inserted into corresponding receiving compartments of the dome end cap and two adjoining the module 28 Receptacles 31 and 32 for fitting further modules.
- the basic body 11 which is supplemented by this end cap, forms a stable dome-shaped or igloo-shaped structure 10.
- Fig. 4 shows a horizontal sectional view of three adjacent building modules 22, 23, 24 of the structure 10 of Fig. 2 , Shown are two overlap regions 33 and 34 in which the modules 22 and 23 and 23 and 24 are adjacent to one another. As mentioned above, these overlapping areas may be designed to be complementary to a groove / tongue connection. Alternatively and as in Fig. 4 The modules 22, 23, 24 may include a central core structure 35, 36, 37 in the form of a glass fiber mat or a metal net of a glass fiber mat and a metal net which projects beyond the side edges of the modules 22, 23, 24 to fit into the Overlap areas 33 and 34 for overlapping the structure 35-37 comes with adjacent modules.
- the modules can be made of plastic. However, they preferably consist of technical gypsum, preferably with various admixtures such as flakes, fibers or grains.
- Technical gypsum is understood to be gypsum as a secondary raw material which, in contrast to the use of gypsum rock and anhydrite, is obtained from natural deposits from various technical processes in which calcium sulphate is obtained as a by-product. The use of these by-products saves the effort for their disposal or disposal and at the same time conserves natural resources.
- very special and sometimes highly pure calcium sulphate compounds can be obtained for the gypsum industry.
- An advantage of using technical gypsum as a material for the modules of the present structure is its high stability and the ease of achieving consistently homogeneous inner and outer sides of the structure also in the area with joints at the joints of the modules that can be neatly filled.
- Another advantage of the use of technical gypsum relates to its favorable Schalldämmeigenschaften and achievable in the building favorable climate due to the absence of plastic material inevitable outgassing. Similar advantages are achieved with a building material based on ground pumice stone. This building material is also significantly lighter than technical gypsum, which benefits the weight of the modules.

Abstract
Description
In manchen Siedlungen, z.
