Definitions
- the invention relates to a vertical screw press for separating solids, for example from fiber-containing sludge, for example deingking systems or fibers from a fiber suspension, for example pulp suspension, with a cylindrical screen basket and a press screw rotatably mounted in the screen basket via a drive with a central screw shaft and a screw shaft arranged thereon , preferably double-winged, screw helix extending at least over a large part of the screw shaft, with an inlet for the suspension, an outlet for the filtrate and an outlet for the dehydrated solid being provided, the cylindrical screen basket being surrounded by a filtrate retention container, viewed in the axial direction consists of several parts and at least one part, preferably the lowermost part, has a filtrate retention tank with a larger diameter, the filtrate retention tank with a larger diameter vertically, ie in the axial direction ng is designed to be displaceable, with the inlet for the suspension at the upper end and the discharge for the dewatered solids at the lower end, whereby the convey
- Suspensions in particular pulp suspensions, for example pulp suspensions from the paper and pulp industry, which contain fibers, are usually dewatered and the solid components are compacted.
- Horizontal screw presses with perforated screen baskets are often used.
- screw presses can only efficiently dewater and transport suspensions with a minimum content of approx. 8 to 10% fibers.
- the double bearing of the press screw or screw shaft required for this is also disadvantageous and costly.
- screw presses are also available, for example from the AT 509 618 A1 and the U.S. 2,747,499 known. With such screw presses there is the risk of clogging, in which case the entire screw press must be dismantled in order to be able to clean it accordingly.
- the GB 155 834 A a vertical screw press for separating solids with a cylindrical sieve basket and a press screw rotatably mounted in the sieve basket via a drive, an inlet for the suspension, an outlet for filtrate and an outlet for the dehydrated solids being provided, the cylindrical sieve basket from a filtrate retention container is surrounded, consists of several parts viewed in the axial direction and at least one part has a filtrate back-up container with a larger diameter, the filtrate back-up container with a larger diameter being designed so that it can be moved vertically, ie in the axial direction, the inlet for the suspension at the upper end and the discharge for the dewatered solid is provided at the lower end, whereby the conveying direction of the screw press runs from top to bottom and an outlet for filtrate is provided at the lower end of the filtrate retention container.
- the aim of the invention is therefore to create a screw press with a vertical axis which has a high efficiency in terms of throughput and drainage and which can be cleaned easily, i.e. in a short time, in the event of blockages.
- the invention is defined by a screw press having the features of claim 1.
- the larger diameter of the filtrate retention container and, in particular, the displaceable design allows the screw helix to be easily cleaned of blockages caused by, for example, compressed fibers.
- the lowest part of the strainer basket is easily accessible and is simply loosened and removed if it is designed as half-shells. Access to the lower area of the screw spiral, in which blockages are most likely, is then also possible.
- a favorable further development of the invention is characterized in that the filtrate back-up container, in particular the parts of the filtrate back-up container, can be divided in the axial direction, i.e. consist of at least two parts. This allows the space around the worm shaft and worm helix to be opened up in a simple manner.
- An advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that a dilution chamber is provided at the upper end of the filtrate retention container, wherein the dilution chamber can have at least one outlet opening.
- the plug can be dissolved and the diluted suspension can be discharged via the outlet opening (s).
- worm shaft has openings, for example a perforation, on at least one shaft end.
- openings for example a perforation
- a favorable embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the lower end of the worm shaft is not supported in the radial direction or is free of bearings and / or that the worm shaft is supported exclusively at its upper end, in particular in a fixed position in the radial direction. A complicated store and an expensive construction of the discharge can thus be avoided. Due to a high concentration of the dehydrated solids, for example cellulose, the plug at the lower end of the screw spiral can serve as a radial bearing.
- Fig. 1 shows a vertical screw press 1 according to the invention which has a drive 2 at its upper end. Furthermore, filtrate backwater containers 3, 4, 5 can be seen with a filtrate outlet 6 and at the lower end an outlet 7 for the dewatered solid (pulp or sludge). The inlet 8 for the (pulp) suspension can be seen at the upper end.
- the filtrate storage tanks 3 and 4 can also be combined and made of one piece, depending on the size of the screw press. It is important, however, that the lowermost filtrate retention container 5 is designed separately.
- the dilution chamber 14 arranged at the upper end and the corresponding outlet opening 15 can also be seen.
- Fig. 2 shows a longitudinal section through a screw press 1 according to the invention along line II-II in Fig. 1
- the same parts are provided with the same reference numerals.
- the filtrate retention tanks 3, 4 and 5 as well as the discharge 7 for the dehydrated solid and the inlet 8 for the suspension can again be seen here.
- the lower filtrate retention tank 5 has a larger diameter than the filtrate retention tanks 3 and 4 arranged above (which can also be designed as a common part).
- the division of the filtrate storage tank into several parts can also be seen.
- the parts 9, 10, 11 of the cylindrical screen basket, which is also divided into corresponding parts, can be seen within the filtrate storage tank 3, 4, 5.
- the double-winged screw spiral 13 is attached, the pitch of which decreases towards the discharge 7 and thereby generates a higher dewatering pressure, which leads to a plug consisting of fiber or sludge and prevents the escape of liquid.
- This plug also enables the worm shaft 12 to have no bearing at its lower end and is therefore only supported radially at the upper end of the drive 2.
- the mode of operation is now as follows:
- the suspension for example fiber suspension with cellulose fibers, is fed through the inlet 8 at the upper end into the vertical arranged screw press 1 introduced. It is guided downward through the screw helix 13 through the annular gap formed between screw shaft 12 and screen basket 9, 10, 11 and compressed by the decreasing slope, whereby the liquid (mostly water) is pressed out of the fiber composite.
- the filtrate drain 6 see Fig. 1
- the first step is a supply of dilution water (for example also filtrate) to the suspension and thus a supply of highly diluted suspension via the inlet 8. This loosens the solid that has already been pressed out.
- dilution water for example also filtrate
- liquid as an alternative to diluting the solid, liquid (filtrate or clear water) can also be introduced into the filtrate retention container (s) from above through a nozzle 19.
- rewetting takes place essentially on the surface of the solid plug to the sieve basket.
- the solids can in many cases already be dissolved and discharged without having to reverse the direction of rotation of the screw shaft 12. The dissolved solid plug is then discharged through the normal discharge 7.
- Fig. 4 shows a section through the screw press 1 according to the invention according to line IV-IV in Fig. 2 .
- the larger diameter of the filtrate storage tank 5 as well as the screw shaft 12 including the screw helix 13 and the strainer basket (part) 11, which is designed to be divided in order to enable simple assembly / disassembly.
- Fig. 5 shows a section through the screw press 1 according to the invention according to line VV in Fig. 2 .
- the perforated sieve tube and the inner cavity 18 can be seen well, in which at least the initial area is drained, whereby a high drainage rate is achieved especially with suspensions with a low concentration (consistency).
- Fig. 6 is the section through the screw press 1 according to the invention according to line VI-VI in Fig. 2 represented by the dilution chamber 14 at the upper end of the screw press 1.
- Fig. 7 shows a screw press 1 in which the pressure profile over the height of the screw press 1 in the area of the dewatering on the screen basket 9, 10, 11 is shown.
- the example shows a filling with filtrate and the resulting pressure practically over the entire height.
- a lower filtrate height can also be set.
- the suspension is located in the gap 17, while a counterpressure builds up in the filtrate storage tank 3, 4, 5 due to the extruded filtrate.
- the diagram in Figure 7a shows the increasing hydrostatic pressure of the suspension
- the following diagram Figure 7b shows the correspondingly increasing hydrostatic pressure of the filtrate that builds up inside the filtrate retention tanks 3, 4, 5. This is made possible especially by the vertical arrangement of the screw press 1.
- the screw shaft can also have a conical design, so that the gap between the screw shaft and the screen basket is reduced in the conveying direction of the screw helix and thus the drainage pressure is increased.
- the worm shaft can be supported radially at its lower end, for example in the case of low discharge consistencies, as well as without a support in the case of higher discharge consistencies.

Description
AT 509 618 A1 US 2,747,499 bekannt.

- In
Fig. 3 erfolgen.
- In
