Cette opération de tassement n'est toutefois pas pratique à exécuter du fait que l'utilisateur doit se servir de ses mains pour appuyer sur le dessus du sac ou sur les déchets, avec un risque relativement élevé de se salir les mains, voire de se blesser. Par ailleurs, selon le type de déchets, cette opération peut ne pas être réalisable.
