Abstract

The ironing table consists of a top panel (1), two sets of pivoted legs (4,11), and an iron rest (2). The legs are pivoted together at an intermediate point (10) and one pair of legs (11) is connected to the underside of the top panel by articulated arms (17) so that both pairs can fold flat against the table. The iron rest is connected to the end of the top panel by pivoted lugs (35,36) and is connected to one pair of legs (11) by stays (41) so that it folds when the legs are folded. The ironing board also incorporates a folding/sliding flap which extends horizontally when the board is deployed and folds against the underside of the table when it is folded.
